Sunday Funday!

Unfortunately, I don't have many workout outfits to post this week.  I had a few too many happy hour events to attend, and then I felt like I was starting to get sick towards the end of the week.  Since I am going on vacation mid next week, the last thing I want to be right now is sick!  So instead of going to the gym to "sweat it out" like I normally would, I decided to take it easy and do nothing.  I think I'm ok now, but literally everyone I see at work is sick, so hopefully I don't get infected before vacation!  That would suck so bad.

So the only workout I did this week was a yoga class on Monday.  It was a great class though!  I'll go back again next week.  But anyway, most of the outfits here are going to be work outfits and whatnot.
Monday 1/25
What I did:  Yoga

What I wore:
Top:  Splits59 Ashby Tanks Liberty
over Nude

To and From:  Lululemon It's A Cinch LS in heathered zinfandel / winter orchid

Saturday 1/30
Dinner Outfit (went to Bestia again!):

Sunday 1/31
It was raining a lot today, which is rare for LA nowadays.  So I took advantage by wearing my rain boots and purposefully walking through puddles!

Brunch Outfit:
Top:  Lululemon It's A Cinch LS in heathered zinfandel/winter orchid
Hat:  Adidas

Ok, that's all.  I do plan to workout everyday before I go on vacation next week, so hopefully I'll have more to post next Sunday!  Have a good week everyone, and stay warm!

DvF Jewel Dress in Black/Feather Leopard

I got a new dress!  DvF Jewel Dress in black / feather leopard.  I love this dress!  It's super cute and flattering.  So worth the money especially when you get it for a good deal!  Though I still paid $200 which is not super cheap.  But it retails for $548.

I got it in size 4, which is my normal DvF size.  I think it's true to size.  It's a wrap dress so there's some give to the sizing as well.  However, it is cut low in the chest just like DvF's regular wrap dresses.  So if you have big boobs, you may want to size up.

I tied the waist strap in the back, but you can also tie it in the front of course.  It is really long.  I had it wrapped around my waist twice and there's still plenty left to tie a knot.

As you can see, the skirt portion of this dress puffs a little.  But I think it's just right!  The material of this dress is thick and a little stiff in the skirt portion.  So it will stay somewhat structured, and won't wrinkle.  I love it.

The best part has to be the pockets though!  I seriously love dresses with pockets.  These pockets are super inconspicuous too.  In fact, I didn't even know the dress had pockets.  It was hard to find the pockets at first because they were sewn shut except for about an inch opening.  At first I thought the opening was a hole in the skirt.  But to my delight, it was a pocket!  SO excited!  When you don't use it, you can't tell it's there at all.

You also can't tell the overlapping portion of the skirt because the print camouflages so well:

Anyway, this is an older print, but there are many different versions of this dress.  So here's one that is very similar from Bloomingdale's that's on sale.  And here's one from the DvF site that is even more on sale.  Couple more cute ones on sale in different patterns herehere and here.

Anyway, I like this dress a lot!  It's a bit on the dressy side, but I think it's still versatile.  I'm going to be finding all kinds of excuses to wear it!  Just maybe not to work.

Valentine's Day Shoes!

I couldn't help my itchy fingers and splurged on another pair of Louboutin shoes!  This time I got the Lady Peep Spike 150mm in fuschia/gold.  I love the Lady Peep style, even though it is ridiculously high.  But they do have a rather thick platform so I can still walk in them.  They are surprisingly more comfortable than they look.

I think the all over spike look is a fun touch!  And the color I got is perfect for V-Day.  I guess that means I should go out to dinner or something then lol:

The gold leathered has a crackled look:

I kind of love these!  I actually already wore them out once, with a very muted outfit so that they would be the star!

So as you can see, when you are wearing them, they look more pink than anything else.  The spikes catch light reflections very well so they sparkle!  At first I thought maybe I wouldn't really wear them.  But I think they would go with a lot of dark outfits.  Just need to be in the right mood since they are such a statement item!

Sunday Funday!

How sad that this is not a long weekend lol.  Seriously, why can't every weekend be a 3 day weekend!  I actually think I'd be more productive at work if 4 work days was the standard!  Anyway... my bf and I finally figured out our New Year's Resolution, which is to go on date nights more!  Like once a week.  We've been doing well so far in January.  This weekend, we went to a newish restaurant in Santa Monica called Cassia which was so good!  I think it might be overtaking Bestia as my favorite restaurant in LA now.  But I gotta go back a few more times in order to make up my mind about this.  Regardless, I'm glad to have found a new restaurant with nice ambiance and great food so close to where I live!

This week was my week off in between each new month of my Get Glutes program.   However, I was looking at the calendar and since I am going out of town for about a week in 1.5 weeks, I have decided to just do my own thing until then.  I will start my new month of Get Glutes after I get back from vacation.  So basically this means I've been booking a lot of group fitness classes at Equinox.  Hahaha.  I do enjoy switching things up, and I think it's good for me to take occasional mental breaks from strength training.  It also means that I get to "sleep in" everyday of the week.  I usually go do weights in the morning before work.  But I've been taking evening classes after work all week.

Monday 1/18
What I did:  I did about an hour of cardio on my own.  First on the gauntlet, then on the treadmill.

What I wore:
Top:  Lululemon What The Sport Singlet II in heathered pink lemonade
Bra:  Lululemon Free To Be in spry blue
Bottom:  Lululemon Ebb & Flow Crop in black
Shoes:  Nike Free 3.0

To and From:  Lululemon Define Jacket in savasana camo fatigue green

Tuesday 1/19
What I did:  I took a conditioning class at Equinox.

What I wore:
Bra:  Lululemon Free To Be Wild in cyber stripe
Shoes:  Nike Free 3.0

To and From:  Alo Yoga Exhale LS

Here's my work outfit from the same day.  I like the pop of red from the shoes.

Wednesday 1/20
What I did:  I took a barre class.  It was ok.  The instructor was on speed or something which made the experience rather stressful lol.  I hate it when instructors go too fast to the point where they are already moving onto the next exercise when you just got in position for the current one.  I'm a quality over quantity kind of person.

What I wore:
Bottom:  Lululemon Wunder Under Crop in diamond jacquard flaming tomato
Shoes:  Nike Free 5.0 TR Fit 4 in ash

Thursday 1/21
What I did:  Pilates class.

What I wore:
Top:  Lululemon What The Sport Singlet in heathered poseidon/gold
Bra:  Lululemon Free To Be Wild in star crushed silver fox deep navy
Shoes:  Onitsuka Tiger Serrano Sneakers in blue bell

To and From:  Splits59 Vail Cutout Pullover in barberry/apricot

I rested on Friday as well as the whole weekend!  Was busy out and about haha.  But here's my date night outfit!  I should have taken these pictures BEFORE I ate, not AFTER.  LOL!
Shoes:  Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Sling in patent specchio red

And that's all!  I'm getting prepared for a full 5 day work week.  Sigh!  Hope you all had a great weekend and great week to come!
