Sunday Funday!

So, I'm going to have to workout extra hard the next couple weeks to undo the damage from this Thanksgiving week!  I went to my mom's up north on Wednesday, and got back to LA yesterday.  So there was a good 3 days of binge eating lol.  I think it was worth it though, because I had such good food that I don't get to eat often!  After all, I workout because I like to eat.  Haha.

I did get in a little conditioning workout while I was at my mom's.  But only once.  Better than nothing I suppose.  I also went to the gym today without knowing that my gym actually closed at 2 pm!  I got there at like 1:25.  So I had to quickly finish my workout without additional cardio like I had planned.  Ugh.  I don't understand why they had to close at 2 pm this weekend.  Thanksgiving is over, they had early close on Wednesday and Friday, and completely closed on Thursday.  Isn't that enough?!  It's a freaking gym, on the weekend after the biggest national binge day!  I'm so annoyed with them.  There were a lot of other people there too all the way up until closing time.

Anyway, when I was in town on Monday - Wednesday morning, I meant to make it to the gym everyday of course.  But I think I got a mini-cold or something, because I just felt completely exhausted on Tuesday.  I slept for like 10 hours too.  I guess it COULD be because of my new workout on Monday, since I started month 2 of the Get Glutes program.  But I think it's unlikely due to the workout alone.  After I slept and rested on Tuesday, I felt a lot better on Wednesday though.  So whatever it was, I beat it!

Month 2 of Get Glutes is pretty good I think!  I might like the workouts better than month 1 actually.  For a good half of the week, I was walking around with a sore bum!  It made me feel good though, because whatever exercises caused it, I hit the right spot!  Lol.

Monday 11/24
What I did:  The first strength training session of month 2.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Inspire tank with Lorna Jane Quick Step bra under.  Lululemon wunder under crop in bruised berry (reverse side) and Nike Free 5.0 TR Fit 4 shoes in fusion pink/atomic mango, because they match the bra straps =).

Tuesday 11/25 - Rest and sleep away the mini cold!  Hehehe.

Wednesday 11/26
What I did:  Strength #2, then doubled up with the first conditioning workout as well.

Splits59 Venus jacket as to and from:

Thursday 11/27
What I did:  I did conditioning workout in my mom's backyard.

My mom has a mini river running through her backyard lol.  Not a bad view.

Friday 11/28 - Rest and eat.

Saturday 11/29 - More resting and eating.

Sunday 11/30
What I did:  Quickly did my 3rd strength session of the week at the gym.  Then I came home and did the 3rd conditioning workout at home as well.  Luckily there was no weights needed so it could be done at home.

What I wore:  Lululemon Flow and Go tank in faded zap, with Beyond Yoga Gathered Legging in dusk.  Same Nike shoes as the last workout.

I wore my Lululemon Outward Bound jacket as to and from, because it finally got colder in LA!  It was actually drizzling a little too, which we desperate need.  I hope it drizzles for like the next 2 weeks.

I just love this jacket, and wish I could wear it more often!  I think it's the only "puffy" style jacket that I've liked from Lulu.

I find the V designs on the back particularly flattering for the waistline:

I can't wait to get back into the gym tomorrow morning!  All I'm going to do this coming week is workout hard, eat healthy and hit my macros/micros.  =)

For those of you who partook on Turkey Day festivities, I hope you had a great one!  I still can't believe Christmas is almost here.  This year has been going by wayyyy too fast!

Found the Black Aiko Trudie Top! And a Kensie Shirt =)

Happy Thanksgiving!  I am sitting here in a food coma... hahaha.  I came to spend the long weekend with my mom in Nor Cal.  It always means lots of food whenever I come back!  I've been eating nonstop since getting here yesterday evening.  So I guess I have a lot of working out to do in the next weeks!

I am browsing different websites for Black Friday steals.  But so far haven't really found anything too exciting.  So I thought I'd share my latest finds from Ruelala.  By the way, have you guys seen the latest holiday collection from Lululemon?  What happened to this company??  Bad sequins and a print that resembles an old tapestry... I can't even...

Anyway, I fell in love with my white Aiko Trudie top so much that I was on the hunt for it in black as well.  Then it came back to Ruelala in all sizes!  So I grabbed the size S immediately.  It is the same size as the white one I have.  It flowy in the body but the arms fit well.  I just love this style so much!  Ruelala was selling it for $65, which is a bit more than the white one I paid for on ebay, but still much less than the $250 retail!

The back is my favorite, with the perforated leather cutout detail:

Side panels are made of silk:

The second top I got from Ruelala is this Kensie black/white combo woven top.  It was only $19!

I thought this would be a perfect top to wear to work.  Kind of a happy medium between business dress and casual Friday.  I got it in size XS.  I actually wore it to work immediately, with my new belted pencil skirt from The Limited that is also black/white combo!

Hehe that was fun.  I like it when items from different brands come together like this.

Ok, now I'm going to go back to my browsing!  Any good deals you guys are seeing?  This one is the best deal I've found so far - my favorite Vince Scuba Leather jacket for $398 at Nordstrom!  (It retails at $995).  I don't have this color yet, and I have a $50 Nordstrom gift card, so this jacket is going to be mine in about a week lol.  Happy shopping!

Two Boundary Tops - Undecided!

I got two Boundary tops from Hautelook that I can't decide if I want to keep or not!  I keep flip flopping lol.  I thought right before this post that I was going to return them, but now I am changing my mind again!  Haha.

The two tanks are the Phoebe Silk tank and the Shea Tee.

I got both tops in size S, which seems to be the right size.  I really like the design of the Phoebe silk tank, with the cutout details and double layered look.  But I think the neckline is kind of high and the cut around the waist is not particularly flattering.  However, tucking the front into a skirt or pants does make it look better because it's not as ballooned out.  I got it for $49 which is not super cheap, so I'm considering returning.  But I might just end up keeping it!

The Shea tee I got is polyurethane.  It's definitely a style that I don't already have!  I think it looks kind of cool.  But I'm not sure how often I would actually wear it.  When I put it on briefly, it felt very unbreathable even with all the cut out holes in it.  I think if I started sweating in it, it would be like sitting in a sauna lol.  For $60, I'll probably return it.

Anyway, kind of a fun top though!  But I think between the two, if I were to keep one, I would keep the silk one.

Sunday Funday!

Another busy busy week!  I once again had to be at work early all week, which makes it pretty much impossible to go to the gym beforehand.  I actually did make it to the gym at 5 one morning, did a quick 40 minute workout and got out of the gym by 6ish.  But I felt so rushed the whole time that I didn't enjoy the workout!  So, I probably won't try to do that again.  Luckily I'm done with the extra early work hour for a while, so things will get back to normal next week!  Plus, I'm only working 2 days anyway, since I took the days off around Thanksgiving.  I can't believe time has gone by so fast and Thanksgiving is next week!  Pretty soon it will be 2015...

I did the last week of my first month of the Get Glutes program.  Starting tomorrow, I get to do month 2 workouts!  The last week of the monthly program is supposed to be the time to push hard, and I tried to do that all week!  Interesting thing I've noticed since doing this program for a month - I'm doing 2 days less of strength training now than I used to, but I've actually gotten noticeably stronger this month!  I used to never be able to break 115 lb squats, but now I'm doing 135 lbs (4 sets of at least 8 per set).  It's kind of counter-intuitive, and yet does make sense if you think about it.  Recovery is just as important as the training itself.  I was doing 5 days of strength training in the past, which most likely didn't allow my body to get enough rest.  Also, I am now doing 3 days of full body workouts, whereas I was doing 5 days of split body part workouts.  I've read that full body workouts are more effective, and it is probably so.  Or, I could be benefitting from the initial shock of a new program.  I'm still eating the same amount of food and my weight has not changed at all.  Since it's been a month now, I feel that is long enough to say my body is probably agreeing with the new workouts lol.  I'm excited to see what month 2 brings!

Monday 11/17
What I did:  Strength session 1.

What I wore:  Under Armour Achieve tank with Lululemon free to be bra in spry blue under.  Ivivva Rhythmic Space Dye crop in spry blue/faded zap/silverspoon, and Nike Free 5.0 TR Fit 4 shoes in venom/turbo green.

I accidentally put on my tank inside out without realizing until half way through the workout lol.  Oops.

Tuesday 11/18
What I did:  Conditioning #1 workout.

Lorna Jane Willow Mesh LS as to and from:

Wednesday 11/19

This one may have been too much of the same gray.. hahaha oh well.

For work on the same day, I wore my new Ann Taylor spot print blouse for the first time!  Actually an Ann Taylor outfit - Corded Lace Pencil skirt.  Coach Nala patent pumps.

Thursday 11/20
What I did:  This was the day I went to the gym in the morning and had to rush through my Conditioning 2 workout!

Since I got all my workouts in during the week, I rested both days on the weekend!  I actually wanted to go to the gym today, since next week is Thanksgiving and I know I'll eat a lot lol.  But I went to eat instead.  =/  I'll definitely be working out hard next week though!
