Sunday Funday!

I spent a wonderful weekend in Santa Barbara and just got back in town.  It was a very relaxing weekend, since there really is not a whole lot to do in Santa Barbara other than eat, shop and enjoy the scenery!  But it truly is one of the most beautiful places, and the weekend weather was perfect at about 75 degrees and sunny!  I went to UC Santa Barbara for college, so going back to Santa Barbara always brings back happy memories.  Today I re-visited my campus and felt... very old... lol.  There are so many new buildings and the students looked so much younger than I remember.  Even when I was in college, I always knew that I was living some of the best years in my life, and I kept telling myself to enjoy it!  I was a very different person back then!  All l I did was eat burritos late at night after attending many parties.  I wish I had pursued a healthier lifestyle and gone out on hikes more often in the beautiful surrounding mountains!  But what can I say... at least it's better late than never!

I had never been to the Four Seasons Resort when I lived in Santa Barbara.  But I was there this time and the property is gorgeous!!  It's right on the beach, and they have a huge restaurant Bella Vista that overlooks it.  The food is actually quite good too.  Since the weather was so nice, everyone was sitting outside on the patio and this view really can't be beat while you are sipping on a mimosa for brunch:

Right outside of the restaurant:

Aww now that I'm looking at these pictures, I wish I was still there!

Ok must switch gear now so I don't get too depressed that I have a full week of work ahead of me tomorrow!  So I felt a lot better this week with my new food plan of increased calories!  The effect of my overeating when I was in San Francisco 2 weekends ago had finally worn off lol.  This may be a bit pre-mature, but I think I'm beginning to see more muscle definition than a couple weeks ago!  I'll still give it a couple more weeks to see how it goes though.

Monday 5/5
What I did:  Leg, but didn't have enough time for cardio after.

Tuesday 5/6 - I had planned to go to the gym, but it turned out to be a rest day - I didn't feel so good in the morning and thought I was getting sick.  Maybe I was just really tired!

Wednesday 5/7
What I did:  Glute/back/bi, then 30 minutes on the gauntlet!

What I wore:  Lululemon white Flow and Go tank, the new Wunder Under crops in wamo camo/barely pink.  And same Nike Free Bionics as Monday.

Lift Your Spirts jacket as to and from:

On Wednesday evening, I went to boxing class.  It might be my last boxing class at that studio, because I am not too impressed with the trainer.  He's kind of just ok, and I don't know if it is worth the money.  I wore the Lorna Jane Kayla tank with Lululemon free to be bra in faded zap under.  Lululemon Inspire Crop in deep zinfandel, and Nike Free Bionics in purple.

You saw this picture from my post of the two new Nike Epic crews I got, but I wore the volt one as to and from since it matched my shoelaces so well!  =D

Thursday 5/8
What I did:  I did shoulder/tri, and then 30 minutes of the gauntlet again.

What I wore:  I haven't worn this top in forever, but I actually really love the color - not sure why I don't ever reach out for it!  It is the Lululemon cool racerback in little boy blue, with Centered Energy bra in flash underneath.  Lululemon Ebb & Flow crop in black, and New Balance Minimus Road shoes.

I went out to dinner on Thursday night, thought I'd share the outfit too!  I wore my SYLK jacket for the first time in forever, with a Calvin Klein blouse under, and AG Jeans ankle zip legging in glitter houndstooth.  Sam Edelman Mallory slingbacks.

Friday 5/9
What I did:  Legs, then 30 minutes of gauntlet.  I do legs 3 days a week now, and must admit it is pretty tough!

Saturday 5/10 - Rest day!  I missed my last weights workout this week since I was in Santa Barbara.  Oh well.

Sunday 5/11
What I did:  I ran about 4.5 miles on the Santa Barbara waterfront this morning!  I can't remember the last time I ran for distance.  I used to do it a lot, and at one point I ran a half marathon.  But nowadays I'm focused on building muscle so I'm doing mostly weight training with some moderate cardio which last at most 30 minutes.  So I was surprised that it didn't feel hard at all today.  I didn't even really break a sweat.  I think I'm in better shape now than before even though I haven't been training to run in particular!  My knees felt a little sore for a while from pounding on the pavement, but they are fine now!

This was my view the whole time.... isn't Santa Barbara beautiful??

What I wore:  Lululemon seawheeze cool racerback in retro stripe multi, with Lorna Jane lustre bra in sparkle fluro orange under.  Beyond Yoga skort, and Nike Free 5.0s in violet.

This top makes me so happy every time I wear it!

Alright, I think my run still took it out of me a little because I'm super tired!  So, goodnight all!  I hope you all had a great weekend and a great Mother's Day for those of you with that title!  =)  By the way, I gave my mom the Coach Madison bag and my grandma the Rebecca Minkoff Leo Crossbody bag for Mother's Day and they were both a hit!!

    1. SB is one of the most beautiful places ever!!! I'm kind of biased since I went to college there lol. But the pictures speak for themselves! You'll love it. It's a very nice place to visit, though expensive!
