Christian Louboutin Botalili Knee High Boot

I got some Christian Louboutin boots a few weeks ago.  =)  They are the Botalili 120mm knee high boot.  I've been needing (aka wanting) a pair of sleek black leather boots for years, and I've bought many.  But none have really turned out to be what I was looking for.  These really do fit the bill in every way.

I sized up to size 37 in these from my usual size 36.  But I usually do that with boots anyways.  These boots are suuuuper tight in the legs.  They are like compression boots lol.  But once they are on, they are basically like second skin.  I've never had boots quite like this!  They hug every curve.  I think they make my ankles look super skinny and fragile though.  But they do fit over skinny jeans, so that works for me.  But I think that if you have calves on the thicker side, these boots would not fit even if you size up.  On the other hands, if you have always felt most boots fit too loosely then these might just be perfect for you.  So that's something to keep in mind.  There are a few reviews for these on the Saks website that pretty much say the same thing.

I've already worn these boots a couple times!  I really like them.  They have a 20mm platform which is very thin.  So the overall height is 120mm, but they are equivalent to a 100mm heel.  That's right under 4 inches.  So they are actually very comfortable.  Here they are!

So as you can see in the last picture above, there is some elastic in the upper calf area.  There's not a ton of stretch, but it does help a little.

I posted a picture with these boots on already, as seen here.  So you can see how they look on me and how tight fitting it is in the ankles!

I do like how sleek these look though!  Too bad the weather will be getting too warm for boots here pretty soon.  Then I will have to wait a year to wear these!  Noooo!  lol.

Sunday Funday!

I started Month 17 of Get Glutes this week.  I have been taking a week off in between each monthly workouts, but this time I decided not to because it took me so long to finish Month 16 lol.  Month 17 is a bit different from the past, because almost all the workouts are supersets instead of straight sets.  Supersets make the workouts go by much faster!  And I like switching things up.  So I'm pretty happy with it so far.

On Saturday night, I went out to dinner at this restaurant called Estate in Santa Monica which was very good.  Then met up with some friends at a really ghetto bar/club called The Room.  Don't go there lol.  This is what I wore but I regretted it as soon as I walked into that venue.

Cute Lace Skirt from Zara

I went to Zara last weekend with a friend and left with this blue lace skirt!  It's actually constructed pretty well (I find these stores to be hit or miss on this aspect) and it's a great color for spring!  Although, now that I'm looking at it online, Zara has it in 2 colors:  blue and sky blue.  I have no idea which one I got anymore since these 2 colors look so similar online... but I'm leaning towards sky blue...

I also don't know what is up with Zara's styling.  Maybe I'm just not hip enough lol.

Anyway, I got this skirt in size S.  It's a loose fit.  But I didn't try a size down because I don't want it to be too tight for work.  I have never seen a light blue lace skirt before and I thought that was quite refreshing.  However, I do find it a bit tough to match and I was considering returning it because of that.  When I bought it, I though it would work with white or grey tops and shoes.  But when I tried it on with a gray top at home, it was too close in color to the blue skirt so I just looked blah.  Then I put on a black shirt with it which I didn't think would work.  But it turned out to be ok I think!  So that opens up a lot more possibilities and now I am inclined to keep it.  Haha, decisions decisions!

I am thinking I'll most likely keep it... the $50 price is not bad.  Though it's expensive for Zara, I think.  But not bad in absolute sense especially since it's made well enough.

There's a hidden side zipper on the left, so the back has no zipper.  Just a little slit at the bottom:

I like the wavy edge finish:

This skirt is actually quite similar to a navy DVF skirt I have, which I got a while ago and not sure if I ever posted about it.  But here it is:

This one has a gold zipper on the back though:

Similar looking hem:

Now that I think about it, I actually have quite a few lace skirts.  But I rotate them and have worn all of them to work so I guess that's what I like!
