Two More Pairs of Jeans from Black Orchid!

So it's no secret that I have been loooving my Black Orchid jeans!  I have 5 pairs up until now (bought my first pair in August last year!), and I just bought 2 more when they were on Hautelook a couple weeks ago.  I now have casual Fridays at work, so I have legit reasons to buy more jeans... LOL!  They are just the most comfortable jean brand I've tried, and I've gotten most of them for under $50 while they were on sale.  The 2 pairs I bought this time are both dark charcoal/black wash.  I've found that dark jeans work really well for me.

The first pair I got are the Payton Moto Skinny, in "equinox".  They are on sale from Black Orchid's site now for $70, down from $176.  It's a very very dark charcoal, pretty much black.  I love the moto style!  Been looking for a pair like this for a long time now.  I got them in size 27 which is the same size as all my other Black Orchid jeans.  This style or wash is not as stretchy as some of my other ones, but still true to size.

So it's kind of hard to see, but there are stitch details on the knees:

There are also 2 faux zipper pockets:

Same as all their jeans, the back is very minimalistic, with only the Black Orchid logo on top right corner of the right pocket.  Obviously I hadn't removed the big label yet:

The next pair I got are another pair of Jude Mid Rise Super Skinny jean, which is a style I already own.  I've been looking for a pair of gray jeans forever though, and last time I got a pair of their Noah jeans I thought was gray but turned out to be olive lol.  So this time the color I got is called "Dark Shadow" which sounded promising as a true grey.  And they didn't disappoint!  They seem to be sold out online, but here's a very similar wash on sale at Bloomingdale's called "obsidien".  And here's the shorter cropped version also on sale.

I got these in size 27 as well, and they are way more stretchy than the Peyton style above.  These are similar to what my other Black Orchid jeans feel like.  Due to the stretchiness, I feel size 26 would probably work too.  But I thought why mess with a good thing when I know 27 fits fine, and stuck with it!  I do have to wear a belt with them though.

I was wearing these all day today at work and they are awesome!  I'm also happy with the fact that these are actually grey!

Yay for new jeans!

HUE Zippered Glossy Denim Leggings in Deep Red - Great for V-Day!

I recently gave these bright red HUE Zippered Glossy Denim Leggings a shot, and they are now marked down from $54 to $24 so I thought I'd share!  They are in the perfect shade of red for Valentine's Day!  They come in glossy gray, black (without pockets) and black python (without pockets) as well, which are all on sale.

So the zipper pockets on the front are all fake ones.  The back pockets are real though.  I got these in size S.  I was unsure of them because of the waist - it's not very flattering since it's a thin elastic band.  Plus, it seems that these leggings would slide down rather easily.  Since there's no belt loops, you have no way to hold them in place.  Other than this issue, I actually do like the style and color of these leggings, especially for $24 (I'm trying to see if I can get a price adjustment since I paid full price only a couple weeks ago).

I tried them on with my pink Louboutins... LOL.

So I'd like them a lot better if they had belt loops.  Although the size S seems to fit fine, this material is a bit stiff and slippery so I can see the need to pull them up constantly as you move.

Anyway, not a bad price at all though.  Maybe a tailor can add some belt loops for a reasonable price and then they are good to go!

More Black Orchid Jeans

As I've mentioned before, I have fallen in love with jeans from the brand Black Orchid.  I have 2 pairs of their jeans so far, the Noah mid rise super skinny and the Jude mid rise super skinny.  I find their material to be super soft and stretchy and fit is perfect.  When I wear them I just feel like I'm wearing yoga pants or something.  But I look much more put together than wearing workout clothes around.  It's funny, I have so much workout clothes, but I just don't like wearing them when I am not working out.

A few weeks ago, Hautelook had Black Orchid jeans for sale, and I decided to get 3 more pairs with the intention of returning 1 or 2.  Now that I received my order though, I may just keep all 3 pairs!  I spent only $180 for all 3 pairs anyway.  My plan is to slowly replace most of my jeans with Black Orchid jeans lol.

My favorite pair I got is the Billie Zipped Distressed Skinny in "black rock".  I can't find the exact same ones to link, but here is the non-distressed version in black, in charcoal, and in red (on sale)!  And here's the distressed version without the moto pockets.

So there are 3 zipper "pockets".  I say it in quotes because there are no pockets lol.  They are more like faux pockets, or just 3 zippers.  I wish they were actual pockets.  But I do like the moto-style design.

They look quite distressed:

Out of all my Black Orchid jeans, this Billie distressed style fits the most loose.  They are size 27, which is the same size as the other 2 pairs I already own.  For all of them so far, I think I could actually wear size 26, but I like my jeans not skin tight so I buy 27.  These run just a tiny bit bigger, but I would say not even half a size.  I feel the most difference in the legs, but that may be because they have big holes in them so they don't feel as compressive!

The next pair I got and tore the tags off immediately is the Noah midrise super skinny in "fall in line".  The thing is though, when I ordered them and when I tore the tags off, I thought they were gray.  But then I went outside and they looked olive to me!  I wanted gray jeans.  But it's really a color between gray and olive.  So basically a gray with green undertone.  Not bad.  My problem is that once I put on Black Orchid jeans, it's hard to take them off lol.

Not a bad color - just not what I expected:

The 3rd and final pair I got are is the Black Jewel mid rise jegging in "after hours".  They are just your good old dark wash denim color.  The color is nothing special, but will definitely get wear.  I may consider returning these for something more exciting.  I haven't decided.

So even though all the Black Orchid jeans have different style names, I really can't tell the difference between them.  Billie, Jude, Noah... whatever, they all fit me the same and they are all fabulous hahaha.  So that's all that matters.  Their material feels very similar in all the different washes, and sizing has been pretty spot on as well so that makes me happy.  I'm going to keep looking out for these when they go on sale.  If you are in the market for some new jeans, I'd definitely recommend checking this brand out.  I feel that jean brands are actually quite personal and what works for you really depends on your body type and preference.  I've tried soooo many different brands and I'm glad I found this brand.  So maybe it will work for you too!

Black Orchid Skinny Jeans & Lululemon Kanto Catch Me LS

I received two more packages this week from my orders last week.  First, I got some new Black Orchid Jude Mid Rise Super Skinny Jeans from Nordstrom Rack.  They are on sale now for only $59.  I love my Black Orchid Noah Mid Rise Super Skinny jeans from a few months back, so I wanted another pair from the same brand.  I think what I love about these jeans is that the mid rise works really well for me, and the material they use is very soft and comfortable.  I guess the mid rise is more like a high rise.  They never slide down as you walk.  The wash/color I got is called "fashionista".

My Noah style is in size 27, which is kind of loose in the waist.  But I decided to get these in size 27 as well just so that they won't be super tight.  I think they fit similar to the Noah, maybe a smidge tigher.  So size 27 is a very comfortable fit.  Here they are on me:

So this is the rise on me - about an inch below the belly button:

Here's the close up of the Black Orchid logo:

Love these jeans!  I think they are a great deal at the price too.  Their original retail price is $150.

And then my Lululemon Kanto Catch Me LS Reflective came as well, which I ordered from We Made Too Much last week.  It went on sale to $69 from $98, which isn't that much of a discount.  But I do like the reflective design on the sleeves.

I got it in size 4.  They only had size 2 and 4 left when I ordered so there wasn't any other choice anyway.  It's definitely a form fitting fit.  So I would size up if you wanted a looser fit.  It's made of rulu so it's very soft.  I do like the fit of it, but I wish it wasn't quite as form fitting.

Here's the close up:

Here's the reflectors on the sleeve:

They fade up towards the upper arm:

On the lower left side, there's a very inconspicuous zipper pocket next to the logo.  You can barely see it here:

The pocket itself is rather small.  I don't even know if it would fit a credit card.

Anyway, it's definitely not the best deal out there, but it's a nice top.  I am always a fan of rulu, and the reflectivity is a plus.  I'm also gravitating towards black more and more nowadays, so I'm pretty sure I'll get a lot of use out of this one!
