Two More Pairs of Jeans from Black Orchid!

So it's no secret that I have been loooving my Black Orchid jeans!  I have 5 pairs up until now (bought my first pair in August last year!), and I just bought 2 more when they were on Hautelook a couple weeks ago.  I now have casual Fridays at work, so I have legit reasons to buy more jeans... LOL!  They are just the most comfortable jean brand I've tried, and I've gotten most of them for under $50 while they were on sale.  The 2 pairs I bought this time are both dark charcoal/black wash.  I've found that dark jeans work really well for me.

The first pair I got are the Payton Moto Skinny, in "equinox".  They are on sale from Black Orchid's site now for $70, down from $176.  It's a very very dark charcoal, pretty much black.  I love the moto style!  Been looking for a pair like this for a long time now.  I got them in size 27 which is the same size as all my other Black Orchid jeans.  This style or wash is not as stretchy as some of my other ones, but still true to size.

So it's kind of hard to see, but there are stitch details on the knees:

There are also 2 faux zipper pockets:

Same as all their jeans, the back is very minimalistic, with only the Black Orchid logo on top right corner of the right pocket.  Obviously I hadn't removed the big label yet:

The next pair I got are another pair of Jude Mid Rise Super Skinny jean, which is a style I already own.  I've been looking for a pair of gray jeans forever though, and last time I got a pair of their Noah jeans I thought was gray but turned out to be olive lol.  So this time the color I got is called "Dark Shadow" which sounded promising as a true grey.  And they didn't disappoint!  They seem to be sold out online, but here's a very similar wash on sale at Bloomingdale's called "obsidien".  And here's the shorter cropped version also on sale.

I got these in size 27 as well, and they are way more stretchy than the Peyton style above.  These are similar to what my other Black Orchid jeans feel like.  Due to the stretchiness, I feel size 26 would probably work too.  But I thought why mess with a good thing when I know 27 fits fine, and stuck with it!  I do have to wear a belt with them though.

I was wearing these all day today at work and they are awesome!  I'm also happy with the fact that these are actually grey!

Yay for new jeans!

Three More Vince Camuto Sweaters!

Ok I went a little bit crazy with Vince Camuto sweaters.  After being so happy with the last batch I bought, I decided to get a few more from Nordstrom!  They were all on sale, and I like that they can all double up as work outfit.

First, I got the Border Stripe V Neck sweater, which looks kind of hideous on the model (what are those bottoms they put on her?!).  But I thought it had potential to look cute if it was not oversized like how it fits the model.  It is now on sale from $99 to $44.  I actually paid $59 for it, but I just got a price adjustment.  This seems to happen to me a lot at Nordstrom.  I almost always end up getting price adjustments on every order!  So I think it literally pays to check back.

I got size XS, and it's still kind of a loose fit.  I am torn about this sweater.  First, it is thick.  I don't really like thick sweaters, especially for LA.  Second, it is high/low style and since the material is heavy, the back kind of pulls the sweater backwards which makes the front even shorter.  I'm afraid I may have to keep adjusting it throughout the day if I were to wear it.  I do like the design though!

If you look closely, there are these decorative open stitch design on the bottom and the sides:

I think I'm going to sit on it and think about it for a while.

The next sweater I got is the Two by Vince Camuto Honeycomb Stitch V Neck sweater, and it is only $31 now, down from $79.  I also just got a price adjustment for it since I paid $46 when I ordered.  I thought the pop of color on this sweater was fun, and I really like the fit!

Again, I don't think these model pics do this sweater justice:

This sweater is thinner than the one above.  I also got it in XS, and I think the fit is perfect.  It's quite roomy, and super comfortable.  I'm happy it's not another high/low style, which I'm not a super fan of.

Here are some close ups of the pop of color on the collar and bottom:

I can definitely wear this sweater a lot.  It's actually pretty sporty looking too.  Maybe I can even wear it to and from the gym!

Lastly, I got this Vince Camuto Argyle Eyelash Fringe sweater from Hautelook/Nordstrom Rack.  It's kind of funny that it's sold at the "discount" store, and yet its price is $44 which is just about the same as the first sweater above, which is from the regular Nordstrom store.  I guess the discount store is not really that much discounted after all.

I thought this sweater looked cute on the model.  I like that the sleeves have those big open mesh and is a different color than the rest of the sweater.  I also got it in size XS and same as the other two, it is a rather large fit.

I didn't realize how "fuzzy" this sweater was going to be!  I'm not sure if I can get over that.  Otherwise, I do like the fit and the design.  I just feel like a big fuzz ball in it.

So I think this one is getting returned, even though it's kind of cute still.

I think I'm going to stop buying sweaters now!  Lol.  It's been super hot here, and will only be getting hotter in the next many months.  I don't know why I'm stocking up on sweaters and scarves.  But at least these sweaters were all on sale for pretty decent prices!  I can definitely still wear them during cooler nights here, and also at my office which is always cold.

More Casual Pieces!

I got a few more casual wear items!  They are all so cheap lol.  I got 2 tops from Nordstrom Rack and one pair of pants from ideeli.

The first top I got from Nordstrom Rack is this American Vintage scoop neck long sleeve tee, in "ink".  It is made of 100% supima cotton and it's super soft!  It's very thin though, and you have to wear a cami under.  I got it in size S and I like this top a lot!  The length is great - the sleeves are actually quite long too.  It's a great casual piece, and color goes with everything.

The second top I got is the Trouve back cut out burnout tee.  The front is rather normal looking, but the back cut out detailing is cute!  It was only $14.  I got it in size S as well.  I think this one can double up as a workout tank lol.

Too bad you can see the bra straps though.  But not a super big deal.

The pants I got from ideeli are the Athena Marie pant with tie waist, in olive.  They are $29 but I had a credit so they only cost me $7 including shipping lol.  I'm actually quite surprised by these pants.  They look really big and kinda ugly when you hold them up.  But once on, they are actually pretty cute!  The material is 100% tencel, so they are light and cool to the touch.  They do wrinkle though.  But not as bad as linen.  You can kind of shake them out.  They would be great to pack for trips!  There are so many warm days here in LA, I could get a lot of use of them.

I got them in size S.  They fit very generously.  You have to adjust the waist tie for the best fit.

Pretty happy with all my new stuff!
