Outlet Trip =)

I went to the Camarillo outlet last Sunday, which is about a 45 minute drive from LA.  I didn't really have very high expectations, and just wanted to go look around.  But I actually bought some things that I'm really happy about!  For pretty good prices too of course.  So I'm very happy I went.  Might have to go more regularly!

I am super stoked about this whole outfit I bought - Splendid shirt at Neiman Marcus Last Call, and white Joe's Jeans in honey skinny booty fit.

I've been looking for a pair of white skinny jeans forever!  I had an Abercrombie pair, which I accidentally washed with other colors and they got dyed green lol.  Ever since then, I had tried on many different brands/styles, and just didn't find the right pair.  I even tried on 5 different pairs at the Joe's store and these were by far the best!  I've actually had a pair of Joe's jeans in honey cut for years now, and I always found them to be super cute and comfy.  I think this cut just really works for me.  It's meant for a curvy figure, which I am not really.  But what works works, I do not question it.  =)  I think the difference is that the back is higher and just makes your butt look better!  They also don't slide down like lower rise jeans tend to do.

Another thing I really like about these jeans is that the bottom is not super tight fitting.  They are like a skinny fit until below the calves, then they become more of a skinny straight leg cut.  I think it looks more flattering that way.

These were $99 at the outlet.  I would gladly pay that for different colors in the same style!  These are the best skinny jeans I've ever tried on!  I wore them all day today and they were amazingly comfy.  Can't say enough good things about them.

So the back rise is higher than the front.  I took these pictures before I took the tag off!  As you can see, I got them in size 26.  I usually wear size 26-27 depending on how the brands run.  My other pair of Joe's jeans is size 26 as well, so I think this brand runs a little on the large side.

Here's the slightly looser ankle fit:

I also really love the Splendid shirt I got!  I love this brand and I don't buy enough of it!  I got it from Last Call, but they actually have a Splendid/Ella Moss store at the outlet.  I just didn't find anything I really wanted there.  Last Call was having a great deal too, something like 40% off on top of the discounted price.  So this shirt was around $40, which is pretty much as low as it gets when it comes to Splendid.

I like the white/navy combo a lot, and I can easily wear this shirt to work or as a casual weekend shirt.  It's soft and comfortable, like Splendid items tend to be.  I got it in size S, which is what I normally wear in Splendid sizing.

The sleeves are convertible so you have the option to leave them down, or roll them up and secure with a button:

Ok, the next outfit I bought is exactly the same brands and color combo!  I got a navy Splendid tank from Last Call and a pair of white cut off fringe shorts from Joe's Jeans!

All shorts were on sale for $49 at the Joe's store, which I thought was a pretty great deal since they are usually at least $80.  I've also been wanting a pair of white denim shorts for a while!  The last pair I got from Zara was pretty cute but I returned them because the fit just wasn't perfect and a size up was even worse.  These Joe's shorts are soooo much better!  I like that the inseam is slightly longer as well because I do not want booty shorts.

I got these in size 27 because I figured shorts shouldn't fit too tight.  I would not have wanted a size down.

The Splendid tank is actually contains sheer stripes which is a bit different.  It's made of linen blend, and it was only $15!  I love the color and the style is so easy to wear.  Definitely a good summer staple to have.

Lastly, the find that made me SUPER stoked was the Under Armour Achieve tanks!  I own 2 of these tanks, one in white and one in bright yellow.  I think these are some of my favorite tanks ever!  And of course when I decided that I wanted them in ALL colors, they were sold out everywhere.  I even went to the Gilroy outlet a few months ago and specifically looked for them and they weren't there.  I had already given up hope of finding more a long time ago, but they were the first things I saw at the Under Armour store this time!  And they were 2 for $30!

So I bought one in pink and one in black.  I didn't try them on till I got home since I know my size was XS in the ones I already own.  But I think for some reason these two run a little smaller.  The XS is not tight, but I would have preferred a slightly looser fit so maybe size S would have been better.  Oh well, I don't think I'm going to make it back to the outlet any time soon to make an exchange, so I can live with the XS.

The outlet had the white and yellow one I already have.  I wish they had other colors that this tank came out in!  Like dark blue, purple, red, etc. etc. because I really would buy every single color!  Lol.  This tank is very versatile.  It's thin and works for pretty much any workout of your choice.  You can also wear it as a casual tank if you don't care too much about the logo showing.  I guess I should be happy with 4, but I just really want them all!

Anyway, I consider my outlet trip to be very very successful!  I will wear all of these items a lot!

Lululemon 105 F Singlet, Roll Down Wunder Under Crops & Hotty Hot Short!

I went to Lululemon on Saturday and left with 3 items!  The first two items I grabbed were the 105 F Singlet in bruised berry, and the new Hotty Hot Short in cadet blue pretty palm print (by the way, Lululemon just uploaded the camo Hotty Hot short again tonight (but not the print I got) so now is your second chance if you missed the camo ones before!).

I have tried on the 105 F Singlet before, but I remember not liking it being so long in the back in my regular size.  I tried it on this time in a size down though, and it actually wasn't that long at all!  The fit totally reminds me of the Splits59 Tone racerback tanks that I have and love.  I find this fit to be really versatile and easy - it is flattering and yet will hide all your lumps and bumps during those bloaty days.  This tank is also very lightweight (seriously light luon) which is nice to workout in, although maybe not worth the $52 price tag as much.  But bruised berry is such a pretty color so I decided to pick this one up.

Not a huge fan of the ruffled edging all over this tank, but it doesn't bother me all that much either:

I have been wearing my fatigue camo Hotty Hot short a lot ever since I got them.  But not to workout in.  I wear them around at home because they are so comfy!  I really like the pretty palm print and was disappointed that the Run A Marathon II crops in this print didn't work out for me.  But I like the cadet blue version even better!  And love them as shorts too.  I can use another pair of shorts to wear at home!  Lol.  Seriously though, I will try to actually wear them outside - I think they'd be great to run in since they are so light and airy.

They have a big pocket with a zipper on the back.  There is also a hidden mesh pocket on the back inner side.  That's a lot of pockets for such short shorts!  Hehe.

When I wear these around, I actually wear them with the waistband folded down once.  That makes them lower rise and more flattering I think.  They actually stay like that pretty well and never flip back up on their own.

I may actually consider exchanging them for Speed shorts if those come out in this print.  I might be less inclined to use those as pajama shorts and actually wear them for their intended purpose!

The 3rd item I got were the Roll Down wunder under crops in bruised berry.  I actually saw them a couple weeks ago but I didn't feel like trying them on since they didn't look too flattering on the hanger.  But I have been wanting a pair of dark purple crops for a while - it's like the only color I'm missing haha!  So I tried them on and surprisingly really liked them!  For some reason I thought bruised berry was more blue than purple.  But I think it's actually more purple than blue in person.

So these are really really high rise if you don't roll the waistband down!  I think you could totally wear them like that, and it would hold you in place pretty well.  It goes up to my belly button!

If you roll them down, they look a lot sexier.  But the fold might be bothersome during a workout.

So I almost ripped the tag off these today, but I saw that the regular wunder under crops in bruised berry got uploaded which are actually reversible to black.  So I ordered those and I will compare which ones I like better when I receive them later this week.  I don't normally like reversible wunder unders because of the contrasting stitching and the weird silky feeling to the material.  But online pictures show solid black on the reverse side.  So we'll see!  Of course it is always more versatile to have two looks with one pair of pants, so I might be more tempted to keep them if the material feels good too!

Lululemon Hotty Hot Short in Savasana Camo :)

Hehe, I got my hands on the Lululemon Hotty Hot short in savasana camo that I missed out on!  These shorts sold out super quick in the stores around here.  They also have really good reviews online.  I think they are pretty much what I expected based on the pictures I've seen.  They are made of the same ultra swift material as the Speed shorts, but they have a wider leg opening.  So even though they are very short, they don't look that way.  And they are super comfy.  They are the perfect type of shorts that I like to wear to lounge around in.  To me, they look more casual/beachy, rather than athletic/running shorts like the Speed shorts.

I like the reflective stripe down the sides, and the half-moon shaped mesh on the bottom:

Here's a closer up picture of the reflector.  You can also tell by the side view that they are rather loose fitting in the legs/butt.  But the waist is elastic so it is fitted.  These are size 4, my normal size at Lulu.

This is the close up of the front view with the elastic band and tie.  I think the rise is a little lower than the Speed shorts.

The back fits loosely too, and there is a pretty good-sized zipper pocket on the left butt cheek:

I don't know what my hand is doing there lol:

So originally I thought that I only needed either these shorts or the Speed shorts in camo, not both.  But now that I have both, I'm thinking I might as well keep both... lol!  They are different types of shorts for different purposes.  I'd wear the Speed shorts for something like hiking or running stairs.  I'd wear these ones to sleep in!  Ok, confession:  My Lululemon Hot Move short are my go-to shorts to sleep in.  I take them with me on every trip (when I'm home, I either sleep in boyshort type of underwear or my birthday suit lol).  They are kind of like these Hotty Hot shorts.  Both are really comfortable, short, and have wide leg opening.  So I can totally see these for the same purpose!  I just got a big bonus check today (my company year end bonus is paid out 2 months later, and I also got my quarterly bonus today too) so I'll treat myself by hoarding a little (or a lot) more camo.  :)

Look What I Bought Back!!

Sometimes one buys something and returns it.  Then regrets it big time later and looks everywhere to find it and buy it back.  Yep, that totally happens to me!  I bought the It's A Cinch Dress in concord grape jacquard mesh when it came out in April 2012, and returned it because I thought it was too expensive ($88) to justify keeping.  Well.... I've been looking for it everywhere and finally found it on ebay!  It was $55 buy it now, so I just did it.  It's not that cheap and for the mere $35ish difference, I would have much preferred to have had the original one this whole time.  Lol.  But hey... it is what it is.  It doesn't pop up very often at all, so I had to do it!  So glad because I lurve it!  :P

I think I could play tennis in this dress, but I haven't played in forever!  And I would most likely just use it as a summer dress or something.  I like the color a lot and jacquard mesh is gorgeous.  I think since it's got a sporty look, it works with wedge sneakers!  So I am wearing my Zigi Kickin sneakers here.

Yay!!!  Too bad it's too cold now for this dress.  I'll have to stash it away for a few months.

I also got 2 more things on ebay!  The awesome Run Brisk LS in black for only like $30 bucks and another pair of Strength and Tone short in porcelain, I think for $20?!  Lol, super cheap.

I think the Run Brisk came out too long ago for most people to have heard of it now.  It's one of my all time favorite Lululemon pullovers.  I think it came out at the end of 2009.  I bought the bold blue one, and I will never ever sell it.  I really appreciate the simple design.  The cut is very flattering, and the running luon fabric is very soft.  I could not pass on a $30 buy it now to own it in black as well.  It also came out in senorita pink and faded zap.

The Strength and Tone short I got are in porcelain, I believe, and came out in 2012.  They were actually listed as 4/6 but they are definitely a size 6.  But that's ok, because the black ones I have in size 4 definitely fit on the small side.  I love these shorts as chill at home shorts, so looser fitting is fine by me.

Here are some closer up shots of both items.  The top is my normal size - 4.

You can't really tell in the photo, but both side of the body are circle mesh panels, and there is a side pocket on the lower left.

The ruching on the upper back adds just the right amount of feminine touch:

Love that you can fold down the tie of these shorts, and there are pockets!

So, another wishlist item found!  Now I can be really thankful tomorrow lol.  I am going to start driving up north for the Thanksgiving weekend in a little bit.  I know I will eat a lot of yummy food, so I'm for sure packing gym clothes (I'm a last minute packer) and hope I can fit in at least one workout!  I had a super busy day at work today so I didn't even get to leave early, and did not make it to the gym as I had planned.  But hey... maybe shopping on Black Friday will be my workout!  Hehehe!

I hope all my American readers have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow!  Be safe, and happy shopping!!  :D
