Sunday Funday!

I've had such a busy week at work!  So I did absolutely nothing this weekend (other than going to the gym) and it feels great!  Hehe.  Sometimes it's just nice to lay around in PJs and relax, especially after having my bf's parents in town for like 2 weeks.  I do feel very well rested now!  But I wish I had one more day of the weekend!  Ok, I always wish that.  At least it will be true next weekend for Memorial Day though!

I usually go to the Farmer's Market here on Sundays, to get my fruits and vegetables for the week.  Last Sunday I couldn't make it because we were having brunch with my bf's parents and then dropping them off at the airport afterwards.  So everyday this week I walked over to Whole Foods (one block away from me!) and got just enough for dinner.  I kind of like this approach!  This way you get exactly what you need and it's always fresh.  Nothing gets wasted at all.  I am going to try it out for another week.  I wish I had a Trader Joe's I can walk to though.  In LA, the Trader Joe's parking lots are the worst nightmares of all time.  I've been to a bunch of different ones and they are all like battle fields.  Sometimes my pain threshold is just not high enough to go deal with that.

So I started Month 8 workouts of my Get Glutes training program this week.  Same as the prior two months, this month has 4 strength sessions per week.  I like all the workouts a lot and was actually decently sore all week from doing them.  It's going to be a good month!

Monday 5/11 - Rest day

Tuesday 5/12
What I did:  Strength #1

Wednesday 5/13
What I did:  Strength #2.

I actually really liked these Nike tights!  I thought the lower rise meant that I'd have to pull them up, but I tied the waist and they never slid down!

Splits59 Vail cutout pullover in barberry/apricot as to and from:

Thursday 5/14 - Rest day.  But we've been having cooler weather lately (yay!) with rain (double yay!) so I wore my "winter" outfit to work lol.  C by Bloomingdale's cashmere V-Neck sweater over an old Express button down.  Faux leather pencil skirt from The Limited, and Ivanka Trump pinkish pump.

Friday 5/15
What I did:  Strength #3.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane head to toe!  Arianna tank in jewel, Lustre sport bra in sparkle fluro orange, Mosaic tight and Nike Free 5.0 TR Fit 4 shoes in venom/turbo green.

I don't get to wear this often since it's so hot here always - but it was raining so I wore my Lululemon Outward Bound jacket in white.  I love this jacket so much!

The back is always super flattering for a thick jacket:

Saturday 5/16
What I did:  4th strength session!  Followed by 30 minutes on the treadmill.

What I wore:  Lululemon Namaste tank - I always think this tank is super flattering but I don't wear it often because the back is so open!  I don't know why that is.  I have tanks that are almost completely open in the back lol.  I also wore my new Lululemon High Times pant in diamond jaquard jewelled magenta, and Nike Free 5.0 TR Fit 4 shoes in ash.

I forgot to include my head in the above shots lol.  But I wore the Lululemon What'SUP Hat in star crushed black cherry for the workout too, as shown below with the Nike Hyperwarm Nordic 1/2 zip pullover that I wore as to and from:

Last night we were craving sushi, so we tried out this sushi restaurant down the street.  It was actually very very good!  Will definitely need to return.  I also got to wear my DvF Berlin sweater dress for the first time.  We walked to the restaurant, and I was worried that the dress would keep riding up during the walk, because that happens with short dresses/skirts sometimes.  But it didn't move up at all!  I love this dress so much, it's perfect now that my only worry is erased!  I also wore the black Vince Scuba Leather jacket over it, and Sam Edelman Mallory slingbacks.

Sunday 5/17
What I did:  Totally a last minute decision after I woke up this morning, but I went to spin class!  And it was great!

What I wore:  Titika Born tank with Lululemon free to be bra in laceoflage under.  Alo Yoga Airbrushed capri in arctic natural, and Nike Free 3.0 shoes

It was slightly warmer today, but still kind of foggy and dreary.  So I thought what a perfect time to wear my Alo Yoga Harlow tank as to and from!  The turtle neck and sleeveless style of this thing makes it kind of a struggle to wear.  I love it though!

And that's my week!  I'm so glad that it's only 3 now and I get to do more of... nothing!  =P  Hope you are all having a great weekend so far!

  1. A little OT: are you going to order the S59 Jordan tights? I might be more inclined to try if I didn't hate the nova ii so much (esp for $142!!). On the plus side, it looks like the Jordans have lame accents instead of mesh, and they're listed as made in the USA. There's a bunch of other infinity print stuff up on S59 now too. All super expensive sadly. Thoughts?

    1. I'm kind of over Splits59 after how horrible my last order was... it's not the same anymore! And yes, they increased their price for inferior quality lol. I just went on their site to look at the Jordans and I don't really like the design that much, so it's an easy pass for me. It's a definite plus that they are made in the USA, but the price increase is pretty dramatic. Also, it's annoying that they don't ship for free unless you spend $150. So if you buy these, you still have to pay shipping!

    2. Hah, I didn't even think of that about shipping. Brutal. S59 has had a number of mishaps for me lately both quality and otherwise (wtf is with all their half-naked photo campaigns anyway?), but I've had a hard time letting them go since they were basically my first love. I keep wishing they'll get back on track, but I'm not sure it's going to happen, especially when they're raising prices for progressively disappointing product (which seems to be a bizarre trend with a lot of brands lately--ugh). Sigh.
