Sunday Funday!

Well this is going to be a much shorter post than usual since I only made it to the gym twice this week lol.  I was SO busy!  I literally never worked so hard in my life.  The 2 times that I did make it to the gym, I was able to get in strength sessions plus decent cardio time though.  So there's that at least.  Plus, I've been eating super well this week (except tonight) so I feel all lean and mean!  It's really true that "abs are made in the kitchen".  Hehe.  I will see if I can make up some of my missed workouts next week.  Though that will mean going to the gym 6 times... So we'll see.

Monday 10/12 - Rest

Christian Louboutin Griff Cutout Pump Cyclamen

I'm worried that I'm developing a slight addiction to Christian Louboutin shoes, since they are so expensive!  But I was on Tradesy the other day and saw these beautiful pumps called Griff Cutout Pump, Cyclamen.  Weird name.  They've been sold out, but I guess they retailed for about $995!  Tradesy was offering 10% off all Louboutin items (they do this occasionally with different brands), so I was able to get brand new ones for $350.  Not too bad compared to the $995 original price, but still very expensive!  I just really like the design, and how there is a peep of red lacquer paint on the peep toe.  Maybe I should sell one of my black Bianca style to finance these lol.

Aren't they pretty!!  Hahaha.  I like the unique style, and somehow I always find slingback style to be the most comfortable type of high heels.  These are 5 inches high, but the platform is an inch so they are equivalent to 4.  I got these in EU size 36, which is the same as my Biancas.  I think they do run slightly tighter, but not enough to size up in my case.  Happy about that, since they aren't exactly returnable lol.

As I mentioned already, I love the red peep toe that shows in the front.  It gives a little pop of color to an otherwise boring outfit!

So here they are on me up close:

By the way, I had a fun little experiment with the sticker on one of the soles of these shoes.  You know how these things can be so hard to remove from the bottom of your shoes?  I usually end up not even bothering with removing them.  But I found out a while ago that apparently you can put peanut butter on it, let it sit for a few minutes, and it just wipes right off.  So I gave it a shot.  Lol.

I used creamy peanut butter of course!

After a few moments, I wiped off the excess peanut butter and then the label did start peeling off a lot easier!  I think I should have let it sit a little longer though.  But I was impatient, and some of the peanut butter started running towards the leather fabric of the shoe!

So after I cleaned it off, there was still a very very thin layer of the stickiness left.  I think if I had left the peanut butter on longer, it would have taken care of this layer too.  So I went back for round 2 with just a little bit more peanut butter.

After round 2, and a little bit of forcefulness, all the stickiness was removed!  How fun!

This also smells yummy hahaha.  It probably works with any oil based product though, not limited to peanut butter.  I think the oil soaks into the stickers, and after soaking for a while, the sticker comes off.  Makes sense.

Now I am going to wait until my Zagg InvisibleShield ipad cover to arrive so I can put it on the bottom of these shoes to protect the red sole like I did last time.  Geez, Louboutin shoes are a lot of work!  But I do love them though.  I think I'm just going to wear them all the time from now on instead of treasuring them and having them become museum pieces.  Expensive shoes are meant to be worn right!!  =D

Splits59 Olivia Matrix LS

I ordered the new(er) Splits59 Olivia Matrix LS, after eyeing it for months lol.  I ordered the crystal/white/heather grey color combo.  Though I like the black/white one too.  I had some not-so-good experiences with my Splits59 orders the last couple times.  So I was skeptical.  But I gotta say I love this top!

I know the color says grey, but I think it looks almost baby blue in person.  I got it in size S, and I think it's a great loose fit.  Length is perfect.  Material is nice and silky.  I love the colorblocking design, and the mesh inserts.  It seems to be constructed of good quality.  So maybe the old Splits59 is back!  I hope so.

Here it is on me.  Note the shoulder straps you see are from my bra underneath, not a part of the top design:

Has thumbholes

So if you were on the fence about this top like I was, you should get it!  I think the pricing of this top is more reasonable than some of the other items they sell.  This is priced at $82, whereas some of their tanks are around the same price.  So you get more for your money with this top!  I just really dig the design.  So happy with it that I wanted to rip the tag out right away!

Sunday Funday!

This has been such a weird week!  It started at like 70 degrees on Monday, and by mid week it went up to 90s again.  Yesterday and today were close to 100 degrees even near the ocean.  I am dying here.  Fall needs to come ASAP!  It's already middle of October!  I really despise this heat, it is so uncomfortable.  I somehow ended up in the middle of a huge AIDS walk today too.  I couldn't believe how many people were out walking in this heat... and I was just trying to go to a brunch place lol.  I feel like I've been wishing for cold weather for months now.  About to get ready to take vacation somewhere freezing!

Today doesn't feel like Sunday to me, since I am not going to work tomorrow due to the Columbus Day holiday.  I have big plans for tomorrow too - back to back massage and facial appointments!  Can't wait.

Oh yeah, quick Invisalign update lol.  I started the second tray this week and oh my gosh it is SO much better!  I was expecting my teeth to be sore again for a couple days right after I switched, but for some reason this set feels so much more comfortable than the very first set.  It's not even a big deal to me anymore.

I started month 12 of Get Glutes program this week.  The exercises this month are very glutex intensive, to mark the 1 year anniversary of the program I suppose!  Maybe it is a bit misleading that the program is called Get Glutes.  One would assume it consists of only, or mostly, glutes related workouts.  However, the program really focuses on full body, with glutes-specific exercises thrown in.  But like I said, this month there are more glutes workouts than usual.  I'm really surprised that I'm not nearly as sore as I thought I would be, especially after taking last week off.  I almost wish they had make the workouts tougher!

Monday 10/5 - Rest day but I thought I'd take a work outfit photo since it's been quite a while since I've posted one.  It was the coolest day we've had in months, so I finally could wear my Halogen Windowpane Check sweater pencil skirt that I got a while ago.  I wore it with Splendid cowl neck top and Vince Camuto Dacoma pumps in hurricane gray patent.

No need for to and from today, since it was so so hot.  In fact, I almost didn't make it to the gym because of how hot it was.  I think the heat makes me lazy lol.  Oh, and probably also due to the mimosas I had at brunch.  But I'm glad I went and completed all my strength sessions for the week!

Hope you have a great upcoming week!
