Sunday Funday!

This has been a good workout week for me.  However, I can't say the same for my food!  I love/hate the holiday season.  Everybody is always trying to feed you.  At work last week I am pretty sure I got free breakfast and lunch everyday.  Working in a buy side investment management firm means a lot of brokers will buy you stuff around this time of the year.  Times are different now with all the regulations and compliance rules, so we can no longer get over the top gifts.  So now everyone just buys you pizza or something like that.  I'd love to work in this industry back in the 80s or something when you get lavish presents, dinners, and trips!  Hahaha.

Anyways, so now onto my workouts of this week.  I went 5 days.  Yay!

Tuesday 12/13
What I did:  About 45 minute cardio session.  Treadmill first, followed by the gauntlet.

What I wore:  Lululemon Swiftly shirt in clarity gray lilac snow, with 50 Rep Bra in very violet underneath.  And coal Groove pants, and my New Balance Minimus Road shoes.

Wednesday, 12/14
What I did:  A really fun weights session, where I warmed up with a 20 minute treadmill run.  Then I did weight super sets with 150 jump ropes in between each set.  I think I ended up doing over 1000 by the time I was done.  It was fun!  I like jump roping for some reason.  And it helped keep my heart rate up.

What I wore:  Lululemon Tri-Y tank.  I can't remember what this pink was called but it reminded me that Lululemon used to make better pinks than paris pink.  I've had this tank for years and it still looks brand new, no color bleeding or fading whatsoever.  It is a pretty bright pink but I actually like the shade better than paris pink.  Would love for it to come back!  I wore this tank with denim luon Wunder Unders.

Thursday 12/15
What I did:  Since I was eating so much all week, I decided to do another long cardio session.  Was going to do the same as Tuesday, but ended up running the whole time.

What I wore:  Lululemon Cool Racerback in white, with white Flow Y bra under.  And Empower Crop in coal/heathered coal wee stripe/passion.

Saturday 12/17
What I did:  Same thing I always do on weekends - I took hubby's class which had tons of interval training on the treadmill and weights sessions in between.

I wore my Pink Lotus Drawstring Hem Sweater as to/from.  This is so soft, it's one of my favorite tops.  As well as my White lined Dance Studio pants.

Sunday 12/18
What I did:  Another class which was a circuit class with tons of different stations.  Then we did 30 second alternate sets of treadmill on dynamic mode where you push the treadmill yourself, and heavy weights.

What I wore:  Lululemon Swiftly tank in Silver/Potion Purple, white chirp Flow Y bra underneath.  And Astro Wunder Unders in static black/dewberry.  I love it when older colors like potion purple coordinate with newer colors like dewberry.  It's fun to make outfits of different but comparable color palettes.

I also wore my Harajuku Lovers hoodie, and Bear Paw boots as to/from.

So that's it for the week.  I hope I'll be able to eat better next week so my workouts are not in vain!  Too bad Christmas is coming up and it's not looking good.  Hahaha.  Sometimes you just gotta not feel too guilty and then rein it in later on.  Why is it that it takes so much more work for some people (like yours truly) to keep up their figure than others?

  1. Cute outfits!!

I know what you mean--I run marathons, teach 6 classes a week at the gym, and am about to become a triathlete and I still am definitely bigger than all my other runner friends.

I'm 99% sure this is my fault because of my ridiculous carb-loving diet, though :)

  2. Lol... I too have friends who eat junk all day and are still skinnier than me! Skinny doesn't mean fit though. That's what I keep telling myself. HAHA! It's genetics, I suppose. Not fair!!! I have to be 100% good always, and it's hard to do.

  3. I always look forward to your Sunday Funday posts!! The pink Lotus top is so cute! Is it TTS?

I hear ya on working my butt off to stay fit and slim. I'm 45 years old and it gets harder and harder. Good thing I love to run and do yoga!

  4. Thanks! I bought the Pink Lotus top in size S and it fits fine so I'd say it's TTS. I love their stuff!!

I guess it does get harder and harder huh? At some point I think as long as we are staying fit and healthy, that should be enough! But it's hard not to compare with other people though. Haha... c'est la vie!
