It is super hard to take a photo that reflects the true color of paris pink in the swiftly material, I think because the silver in the swiftly shirt reflects the light and thus making the shirt appear super bright in photos. I tried many times and finally got a decent comparison photo of the Turn Around vs. Swiftly. The Turn Around is definitely noticeably brighter.
Hmm so now I'm really debating which one to keep! I like both but it would be a waste of money for me to have 2 long sleeve tops in this color. I'm inclined to keep the swiftly since I already have 2 Turn Arounds. But I don't want to deal with the swiftly's potential bleeding problems. This is workout clothes, and expensive workout clothes at that, so I am not about to take a whole new approach to "care" for them. Lol. So perhaps it's a better choice to keep the Turn Around.
Maybe I should return both and get a bra or tank in this color instead, haha. I am so indecisive! But it's really hard to part with the Turn Around. Seriously, I love the material so much, once I put it on I just don't want to take it off. Ever. I really like my gray one and my plum one because both are such easy colors to match with others. I just don't know if I'd reach for it in paris pink as much.
Anyway, first world problem again!
Just got my paris pink CRB in the mail today and I can't believe how bright it is either! I was hoping since it's heathered it would be a bit more muted but no such luck. The Turn Around looks great on you, though!
ReplyDeleteI have 3 of the Turnarounds, I love them and wear them all the time! They are so warm as a base layer here in the Ohio 30 degree temperatures! I am reading that all the Paris Pink bleeds, I went for The Cross Your Heart Bra in the color. Like you, I don't want to spend a bunch of time extra caring for this color and thought the bra would be managable. I wear the bra with the CRB and a little bit of the color peaks out without being overwhelming like having a top in the color. I am a strawberry blonde and Paris Pink is not the best color for my complexion anyway. So, as far as which shirt, it seems the Swiftly might get you through more seasons than the Turnaround and it does not seem as bright, if that is a concern. You do wear the Turnaround tops well, though! Decisions, decisions!
ReplyDeleteI have the turnaround in pp too and it s fabulous. I would vote to keep that one.
ReplyDeletei have a ton of swiftlys, my fav item to run in! on a whim, i tried on the pp turn around long sleeve. i fell in love with it!! i bought it to wear for athletics, running/biking, but also i can layer under a t, or a flannel button down. it just seems more street wear then the swiftlys. also, just to hang out around the house. it is sooooo comfy. i say keep the turn around :)
ReplyDeletemy turn around in PP is set to arrive this week and I hope it is not too bright for me -- It will be my first one and I am hoping i love it --
ReplyDeleteI think the color looks great on you!
I think that if you are unsure of both, why not return both? Surely there will be something you want with certainty soon. There's always the boxing day sale to look forward to as well.
ReplyDeleteSigh... still no decision today. Hahaha... sure glad there's extended return period right now though! I am kind of thinking about returning both and waiting for something I totally love and can wear a lot too...
