In the meantime, I decided to ignore that whole fiasco and carry on. And am happy to say that I was excited to get my gift from Gilt Noir! It was pretty cool, they sent me a link to a private sale that included all these things I could choose from. They had lots of shoes, scarves, makeup bags, and other accessories. Everything ranged from 40-70 bucks. But anything you choose is completely free, including shipping. I love free stuff! It's also nice to feel appreciated as a shopper.
I decided to get these Seychelles Gala Flats, since I have been loving my Burberry flats on the train rides to and from work. Seriously I wear them everyday. And they were my one and only pair of flats. So I figured I could use another pair, especially in nude:
So these are my second pair of Seychelles shoes in a couple weeks. So far I am pretty impressed with how soft their leather is. I love love love my Seychelles True Story boots. And these flats are just as soft and buttery. They are a tiny bit small for me though - I got a size 6. Should have gone with 6.5. I can't exchange them, so I'm just going to try to break them in. Since they are leather, they should give a little after a few wears. I also got a cute little dust bag for these shoes. Love that!
I think I will get a lot of use out of these as to/from work shoes. I could also wear them while at work, but I like wearing heels at work especially since most of my pants will be too long without heels. I have 2 large drawers full of pumps stashed at work. I can match any outfit... LOL!
Regarding the size, are you usually a 6 or 6.5? I am thinking about getting a pair of black Gala flats off of gilt and I vary between a 7 and 7.5. Just wondering if these run big or small.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I normally wear a 6 in most shoes except boots or workout shoes that I size up to 6.5 or 7. I think these run slightly small so if you are in between sizes, I would say go with the bigger size.

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThese are still on Gilt (two years later) and I'm having the hardest time finding reviews. I'm looking for a pair of flats to do a lot of walking around France. Were these really comfortable and would you recommend them for lots of walking?
Thanks!
Hi! I think they are pretty comfortable but I've never worn them to walk long distance in. For lots of walking, you would probably be better off with some shoes with better support like sneakers? Or comfortable walking sandals - I bought some for my Europe trip a couple years ago from Easy Spirit and they were super comfy and looked cute too!
