New Lorna Jane Tank - Kayla!

I bought a new Lorna Jane tank on ebay and it's soooo pretty!  It was listed as "Kayla Excel Tank", but I cannot find it when I search online under that name.  So it may or may not be the name.  It must have come out before I knew about Lorna Jane, because I've never seen it before - I would have bought it already if I did!

I love Lorna Jane's open back tanks, like my Macy Excel tank, or the Inspire Excel tank.  They are awesome to workout in.  So this was a no brainer.  It only cost me $19 too.  It is made of 2 different materials - the front half is a heavier and more cottony feel, and the back is my favorite honeycomb mesh!  It's super soft and drapes great.  The size of this tank is XS, and it does fit on the tight side.  My preferred Lorna Jane tank size is S.  But it's not like I had a choice!  So it works.  =)

I'm wearing the Lorna Jane Pammy bra under it here:

But of course I realized that the straps on the back of this tank matches my favorite Lululemon bra exactly!  The Free To Be bra.  So here it is with the laceoflage Free To Be under:

I think either bra works under this tank though, as the bra doesn't need to match the tank exactly.

Here are some closer up shots:

This is where the two materials meet:

Here are the pictures from the ebay listing, they look like they are screen shots from Lorna Jane's website and catelogue.  The first 2 are very small/bad quality though.  But I do wish this tank was a size small so the back can drape more, like it does on this pic:

This one looks like it's from the catelogue:

Anyways, I think this tank is super cute!  I actually really like everything I've got at Lorna Jane so far.  Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that they have such a stupid return policy that keeps me from buying more!

Lululemon Cool Racerback in Midnight Iris Multi

I ordered the newest midnight iris multi cool racerback from Lululemon on Monday night.  I wasn't really sure about the color/print since I didn't see it in person, and I was half prepared to have to return it.  If you've read my blog long enough, you are probably aware that I am not normally drawn to prints, especially flowery prints.  But for some reason this one kind of captured my attention!  So I went ahead and got it.  I figured I could always return it later.  It arrived today and I actually think I like it!  The iris flower print could look old-ladyish very easily, but I think because they made it so dark that it actually looks kind of cool and edgy!

This cool racerback is actually made in Canada.  It is 94% polyester, but it feels different/better than my petit dot dune one which is mostly poly as well.  This one feels thicker and softer/less scratchy.  Just better qualify fabric feel in general.

And here it is on me - the print looks pretty subtle like this:

This is it up close... I like how the brighter parts of the flower kind of reflects the light a little and looks almost metallic:

I wouldn't have liked this print at all if it looked like how it does below, which I took under bright light.  But I think Lulu did a good job with it making it very dark and subtle.

Somewhat of a surprise, but I actually think this one is a keeper!

Lorna Jane Duo Bra in Yves Blue

I got a new bra from Lorna Jane and I really like it!  Actually I really like all my Lorna Jane bras.  They make the girls look really great lol.  The newest one to join my little collection is the Duo Bra in yves blue.  They had a discount on their bras last week where every bra was $50 instead of the usual $65.  I think they do this promotion once in a while because I got the Quietly Confident bra for the same price about a month ago.  They offer free shipping and the 20% code seems to forever be working (fingers crossed!) so it becomes $40 and totally worth it.

This Duo bra has a double layered look, which is probably where the name "duo" comes from.  The inner layer is a bit thicker than the outer, which is mesh.  There is also a bit of ruching down the middle.  The blue is a very pretty medium shade of blue.  I would have got size S, but ended up with XS since S was sold out.  It fits, but is a "high support" bra for me.  I typically don't like bras very tight on me because I feel like I can't breathe.

The back of the bra also has the double layered look.  The inner layer is exactly like my Pammy bra, where you can the option to clip both straps together at the top, like this:

Or you can take them apart and have a slightly different look:

I appreciate the versatility.  I also find that with the straps unclipped together, it feels a little looser so it might be more comfortable that way for longer wear.

I think this color will go with most of the colors I have, so I am excited to wear it!  This time Lorna Jane shipped it out the next day and I received my order within 2 days.  Can't complain about that at all!

Sunday Funday!

Oh my gosh, what a long week this was!!!  I feel like so much has happened that it has to have been longer than 1 week!  On Tuesday, my condo was staged and I'm quite happy with the job the stager did!  I think she maximized use of the space and put in some really nice looking furniture and art work. It's silly that people looking to buy a place should look at how it is decorated, but that is how it works with most people so I think there is definitely value added from making it look as nice as it can.  So the next day, my realtor did all the paperwork and everything she needed to do to get it on the market, and on Thursday it was listed!  Everything happened super fast, and in the meantime I wiped down and cleaned as much as I could, even polishing my stainless steel appliances lol!  Btw, I googled this and learned that olive oil works great for this!

Friday was the first open house, and today was the second one.  I guess the turnout was pretty good - we had about 30 people show on Friday and 50 show today.  I don't really know how the real estate market has been lately, but that's more than I expected!  She says the responses have been positive, so we'll see if we get any formal offers!

I just got back from Palm Springs a little while ago.  I went there for an overnight trip because it was my big 3-0 on Thursday, so I went to celebrate with some friends.  It was pretty hot there!  But we got a cabana so we spent pretty much all day by the pool without getting burned, and I got some much needed R&R from the hectic week!

I must say though, this whole birthday thing is really not good for the diet!  I had Chilean sea bass one night and ahi tuna steak on another, so not as bad as it could have been!  I did get this (and finished it) as a birthday gift though:

That was good stuff!  No hangover at all!  :)

All the desserts I had were just complimentary ones from different restaurants.  One of my friends liked to tell everybody we ran into that it was my birthday, so I got more desserts than I wanted lol.  So I think I will be super good starting tomorrow, and get back into the groove of things.

Monday 7/29
What I did:  Lower body weights.

What I wore:  Lole Fly tank in fusion coral and Lululemon lab perennial tight in coal with my new favorite shoes lol, the Nike Frees in gray/crimson.  Love how bright the laces are!

Tuesday 7/30
What I did:  Upper body weights, tris and shoulder.

What I wore:  Lululemon No Limit tank in white/light gray pique, and matching wunder under crops!  Same shoes again!

For work on the same day, I took out something I hadn't worn in a while - the Express colorblock 2-in-1 dress with Vince Camuto Jiris sandals:

Wednesday 7/31
What I did:  I had my biweekly checkin with my trainer.  He changed my training a little bit.  Slightly different weight exercises, and 4 30-minute interval cardio sessions instead of 3 30-minute MISS (moderate intensity steady state) sessions.  So Wednesday was the first time I had done my MIIT cardio session right after biceps and back.

Thursday 8/1 - Rest day, but I went to work.  It was the day I turned 30 so I felt like an all-black mourning outfit lol.  I wore my Express bateau neck ruched sleeve sweater and Express wide waistband editor pant.

For dinner though, I went more vibrant with my French Connection multi jag stripe dress!  I thought it went very well with my Marc Jacobs Ashley handbag, and Modern Vintage wedge sandals.  I went to this great seafood restaurant called the Water Grill.  They actually served me a piece of Chilean sea bass that was raw and still kind of cold in the middle.  So I sent it back and they freaked out trying to make me happy the rest of the night.  I got complimentary shrimp platter and dessert on top of a brand new piece of fish, and I didn't even tell them it was my birthday!  I like that they totally took care of their mistake though, so I will continue going back there in the future!  Though it is definitely a wallet-draining place!

Friday 8/2
What I did:  Lower body weights, followed by my MIIT session.

Saturday 8/3
What I did:  I got up at 7 am and went to the gym before heading out to Palm Springs.  Yep, I'm hardcore like that lol.  I did my upper body supersets followed by another 30 minute MIIT session.

What I wore:  Lululemon swiftly tank in pink mist, with new Mod Moves crop in afterglo, and Brooks Pure Drift shoes again.

For my Saturday night dinner outfit in Palm Springs, I went a little simple and wore Express sequin and lace racerback tank with Express diagonal stripe knit mini skirt.  I wore my Modern Vintage wedge sandals again because they seem to match everything in my closet!

I guess I am getting old, because after being in the sun all day and one drink at dinner, I was pretty beat!  Needless to say, not much happened afterwards, and I got to sleep in this morning!

I am so glad I had the foresight to take tomorrow off work, so I can relax and just go workout!  Who knows, maybe I'll hear good news tomorrow from my realtor.  Fingers crossed!!!  It will be such a load off once it is sold!

Balanciaga Classic City Bag!

I am so in love with my new bag that I've been eyeing forever and got as a birthday present - the Balanciaga Class City bag!  The color I got is called anthracite, which is a dark charcoal color.

As far as designer bags go, the Balanciaga City bag is one of my favorite designs!  It is made of the softest lambskin.  You can use the top handles or the removable shoulder strap so it is versatile that way.  The stock pictures they have all have the bag stuffed, but I actually like it better when it is not full.  It looks completely different.  It's kind of got a biker vibe, and I think it looks way cool!  Love the tassels that come on the zipper pulls.  It comes in so many great colors too, from darker earthy tones to super bright and happy hues.  I like this anthracite color I got, because it will go with everything, and yet it is not boring old black.  I really like the aged brass hardware on this bag, and I think they go with the anthracite color very well.

I think the size of this bag is perfect, at 9.4" x 14.8" x 5.5".  I can put my wallet, keys, phone and other knick knack items in it without filling it up.  There is a zipper pocket on the inside of the bag, and another zipper pocket on the outside.  That's good for me!  I'm just super happy with it!  Here is what it looks like on me:

Here it is worn as a shoulder bag:

Isn't it pretty!!  I took some other close up shots too:

Hand stitched handles

I still can't believe I am the owner of this bag now!!  Best birthday present ever!!!  I just know I will get a lot of use out of this bag.  I already used it today!  =D

Condo Officially For Sale!!

I finally finished doing everything to put my condo on the market today!  I didn't plan it, but today is actually my birthday too.... and I've turned 30 and reached this new decade!  I seriously can't believe how fast time is going by.  But what a great birthday present it would be... if I could sell the condo this weekend!  =D

I shared some pictures of it on my facebook page, but thought I'd post them here too, in case one of you is looking for a 3 bedroom 2 baths condo in the LA area and would possibly be interested!  Open house this Friday (tomorrow) and Sunday!
