I was so excited, because I missed out on the white No Limit last time when it came out with heathered coal wee stripe bra. I was happy to find that the new white with light gray pique is very similar!
..........But when I put it on, I found the bra straps very tight! Definitely not as stretchy as the aruba one I just got. They kind of dig in a little and feels kind of uncomfortable. Everything else fits the same as my other one. I wonder if I got a weird one or the gray pique straps are just not as stretchy as a solid colored one? Now I'm sad! I want to keep it but not if it's uncomfortable. I ended up selling all my Scoop Neck tanks because I find the neck strap too tight to wear comfortably for more than an hour. And then it starts giving me a headache. I had like 5 of them and never wore any very much because of that reason. So one day I just decided to get rid of them all! I need to try it one size up and see if it's better next time cuz I still think it's a cute tank.
So I guess if the white No Limit shows up online tomorrow, then I will get a size 6 and compare with my 4. Hopefully the fit of the body will be similar to the 4 and the straps will be perfect. Still kind of inconvenient the inconsistency in sizing between different colors!! I'm annoyed and hope that I won't have to end up returning both, because I really do love the white!
I think its definitely due to the fact that pique material is not that stretchy. I'm worried now. A friend of mine picked up the White one for me. Hope it will be ok. I refused to buy black or grey. Love colors! I got the Aruba and Passion from last season.
ReplyDeleteI bought the Aruba one yesterday but also tried the white one in my regular size 6 and mine wasn't tight. It was very comfy with the pique bra. I think you might have got a defective one. If they show up online tomorrow you might want to order another 4 and maybe a 6 to compare. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteI also bought the aruba and white in my usual size 6. No strap issues. In face, I found the pique bra even more comfy than the aruba one due to the pique material - then I got the light grey pique wunder unders to match : )
ReplyDeleteHmmm... it's so weird that I'm having this issue with mine! Aside from the aruba tank I just got, I own many Flow Y bras and have never had problems with the straps. Maybe I do need to order another 4 and a 6. Lol. What a pain.
ReplyDeleteMy straps on my coal / purple are definitely less stretchy than my aruba and I tried on two coal / purples at the store. I ordered another one online this morning (the coal / purple and white have been uploaded) just in case it was a weird batch. I was at another store yesterday and stretched all the straps (w/o trying them on) and they seemed equally stretchy, including the coal / purple and the white, so I'm hoping that I will find one that works.
ReplyDeleteAnon 7:33 here: I went to the store and tried on a few more, including a couple of purple coal in several 4s and a 6 and the white / pique. I didn't end up sizing up; the 6 was comfortable but it just didn't offer enough support for running as the bottom band was a little loose. Top straps felt better though. I did find the white / pique straps were a little tight, though not as bad as the purple coal, probably b/c the pique fabric is softer. I ended up going with the stretchiest of the size 4s.
ReplyDeleteI ordered a 6 my normal size online -- I hope it is ok -- Sad that the aruba wasnt uploaded as well -because I am not sure if the white will be too sheer -- But I absolutely love my black one in the summer paired with dressy khaki shorts for street wear -- I think the aruba will look just as cute with white shorts
ReplyDelete@Anon: Geez, that's a lot of work! Glad you finally found one that works though!
ReplyDelete@momof5: I ordered a 6 online today too. I should get it tomorrow and will let you know how it works. I really should have ordered another 4 as well but I just really didn't feel like paying another $140 and have 3 of the same tanks. Lol. Plus I kind of hate returning stuff. Anyway, I hope yours works out for you!
