Sunday Funday!

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.  I drove up north on Wednesday night and spent a few days with my mom.  My worst nightmare came true - she cooked yummy food!  Lol.  As soon as I walked in the door, at like almost 2 am, she had food ready for me!  Daaaannnggg... I knew I wasn't going to be able to keep up with my meal plan for the days I spent there.  I didn't even make it to the gym at all.  To make matters worse, on Friday, her friend who is a professional chef and owns a successful restaurant invited us over to her place and cooked a super delicious meal for us!  At first I was going to try to curb myself, but then I figured hey.. how often do you get a professional chef cooking a multi-course gourmet meal for you at their home, so I just kept eating... lol!!  My only consolation is that I ate a lot of high quality protein... she cooked the most delicious crab!  I'm drooling just thinking about it.

But of course, there's still damage on the scale after these 3 days.  I drove back to LA yesterday evening.  Got home at about 8:30 and hit the gym by 9 pm!  I felt instantly better afterwards.  I went back to the gym first thing this morning after I woke up as well.  But of course, it will take a few days for my body to get back to normal.  I'm going to be extra good with my food for like the next month lol.

Since I knew I was going to be out of town and most likely not able to make it to the gym, I started this week's workouts last Sunday.  I was actually fully expecting to not be able to fit in all my workouts this week, and I was actually ok with that.  As OCD as I am about fitting in all my workouts, I have been working hard, and missing one is not the end of the world.  But since I really felt like hitting the gym last night, I was able to do all of it.

Monday 11/25
What I did:  Well, usually this would be the leg day.  But I started my workouts the day before so leg day was already done and I did my shoulder & tri workout instead.  Followed by my 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Erika Excel tank and Splits59 Nova Capri tights with Nike Frees in violet.

I have been loving the Roxy Daybreak LS Tee so much for the open back.  I wore it again as to/from:

Omg my inner thighs touch :)

Tuesday 11/26
What I did:  Back and bi weights, followed by 30 minutes of cardio on 15% treadmill.

As to and from, I wore one of my favorite Lululemon jackets I ever bought!  The Beach Runner jacket:

Wednesday - Friday:  Rest, and eat lol.  I was planning on going to the gym on Wednesday after work, but I had a long day at work and I still needed to pack and drive, so I skipped it.

Saturday 11/30
What I did:  I worked out at the little gym in my building.  I was supposed to be doing my leg workout but since the little gym is not really equipped well enough for it, I decided to do my upper body supersets instead.  Then I did my cardio session.

What I wore:  Lululemon cool racerback in ocean stripe mellow lemon, with Free To Be bra in spry blue under.  Lululemon Wunder Under crops in bordeaux drama, and these new Reebok Crossfit shoes I just got from Fitness Magazine to test!  Will write about them after I've worn them a few times.  But they look pretty cool.

Sunday 12/1
What I did:  So I did my leg workout today instead.  Followed by 30 minutes of cardio again.  It was a pretty brutal workout!  Glad I did it though.

What I wore:  I wore all black to conceal how much I ate... lol.  Lorna Jane Replay Excel tank, with Lorna Jane Portia bra in hyper lime under.  Lululemon Mod Moves crop in groovy stripe nimbus, and Reebok shoes again.

And I wore the white Lululemon LS swiftly top as to and from.

And that's all!  This is a short one!  I am so happy to start getting back to normal next week.  Too bad there's a long week of work ahead.  It's always hard to go back to work after multiple days off!  But hopefully I won't be too busy and can at least sit there and browse through some cyber Monday deals for a little bit lol.  Happy shopping everyone!  :D

  1. Sounds like a good weekend! I try to sign up a turkey trot race so I have something active planned on Thanksgiving. Also generally a good excuse to get away from family for a bit :)

    1. Yeah, I would have worked out on Thanksgiving morning if I was home. Didn't want to deal with guest pass at my mom's gym lol. My excuse to be lazy and sleep in!

  2. I just got reebok crossfit runner nano speeds and I love them! I had been using regular running shoes but they were throwing me off balance. Not sure if those are what you got, but mine are good enough to do 800meter runs in with a busted foot and so much better when lifting! Glad I splurged on them! Looking forward to your review.

    1. Mine are different... I think they are new and have not come out yet. Reebok sent them to me without a shoe box lol. So I don't even know what they are called... I agree though, they are a more versatile shoe than a traditional "running shoe" or "trainer". They are kind of in between the two, which is nice when your workout requires both (like crossfit).

  3. Oh and I ate horribly for Thanksgiving too (vegetarian lasagna plus dessert!) but hiked down to the bottom of Grand Canyon and back up so am considering it even!
