Lululemon Cool Racerback in Plum!

Did I say in my post of the Lululemon heathered plum swiftly racerback that I was kind of over cool racerbacks?  Well, I'm eating my words because I just bought the plum cool racerback!  I like that the beautiful plum color is so much more saturated in the luon material of cool racerback.  Swiftly material always tones down the color, and it is especially so since they also heathered the color.  I haven't taken the tags off yet, so I am debating whether to keep both or return one.  I love how soft this plum cool racerback is though!  So I am definitely leaning towards keeping the cool racerback rather than the swiftly.

I love plum on this model.  It goes well with her coloring.

Here's a close up shot of the swiftly on the left and cool racerback on the right.  Although the picture got a little blown out, you can still tell that there is actually a huge difference between the two colors:

And here they are on me:

Another Lorna Jane Clover Bra - in Hyper Pink

Ok, I couldn't help myself so I bought another Lorna Jane Clover bra in the only other color they offer - hyper pink.  I just think this bra is super pretty!

However, I was hoping that it would be a light pink like their web photos show above.  But it turned out to be a pretty bright bubble gum type of pink.  Argh!

I think this color is ok, but I just really wanted a baby pink!  I might take this back to the store and exchange for something else.  I did find it kind of weird though, that I ordered this bra in size XS (only one they had left), and the back straps fit slightly looser than the same bra I just got in size S in viola marl.

I wish they would make more colors in this bra!

Sunday Funday!

Let me begin by saying that I think my trainer is trying to kill me!  Hahaha... but seriously, my workouts have been kicked up like 5 notches.  I started my new workouts on Wednesday, and I took Thursday and today off as rest days, and I'm still sore... All over my body!  I still don't know if I see much muscle gain though.  It's so frustratingly slow for women to get muscles, especially me!  Ahhh... oh well, I'm trying to be patient.  Little bit at a time...

Monday 8/19
What I did:  Lower body weights.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Tempo Excel tank, with Lululemon Free To Be bra in pow pink under it.  Mod Moves crops in afterglo, and Brooks Pure Drift shoes.  Rocking the black and pink combo!

I like that the shoulder straps of this tank is mesh so you can see the color of the bra under it.  You can see more clearly in the close up:

Tuesday 8/20
What I did:  Shoulders & triceps, followed by 30 minutes of interval on 15% incline treadmill.

What I wore: Lululemon Swiftly racerback in spry blue with very matchy-matchy spry blue Free To Be bra under.  Passion crop in bright blue, and Nike Frees in blue glow - lots of blue!

Wednesday 8/21
What I did:  Bicep and back - my new workout, which killed me!  I started doing negative chin-ups, which is basically starting at the top of a chin-up position, and slowly let yourself back down, say 3-4 seconds.  Ugh, so hard for me.  I am impressed though that I can do chin-ups fairly easily now.  I never could before.  After my tough weight workout, I actually went and did another 30 minute cardio interval session on the treadmill.  I could not move for the next 2 days!!

Thursday 8/22 - Rest day

Friday 8/23
What I did:  Lower body weights, which made me even more sore!  And yet another 30 minute cardio interval session...

Saturday 8/24
What I did:  Last weight session of the week!  This one was especially tough since body my upper body and lower body were sore from the last 2 workouts.  I actually almost skipped this one to let my body recover more.  But I went anyways, as well as finished the 4th 30 minute cardio interval session.

I don't usually like to buy matching outfits, and I didn't plan this one nor buy them at the same time.  But I actually really like them together:

I also wore the Splits59 Dallas Hoodie in twilight/nude as to/from:

The twilight color is a little darker than granita, but it goes well together as well I think:

Sunday 8/25
What I did:  Rest day from weights, thank God!  I did play a few rounds of tennis though, with the ball machine.

What I wore:  Lija Fuse Approach top with my new prized possession - the Lululemon SeaWheeze mosaic Track Attack skirt!  So glad I got this one... love it!!!  I wore the Lorna Jane Duo bra in yves blue under the tank - this blue is close enough to the blue in the skirt!  And it goes with my Nike Frees in violet... which also has orange in it that matches the skirt!  Lol.

No work outfits this week, but here's a casual Sunday outfit!  This tank is an uber oldie, from Victoria's Secret Pink line, like 6-7 years old at least.  It's still one of my favorites!  I wore it with my Diesel Faccyo shorts and Steve Madden Haywire wedge sandals.

When you look up close at this tank, you'll see that some cherries have rhinestones over them.  Makes me so happy lol.

And that's it for this week!  Hope you all had a great weekend!  I have to be at work by 6 am this coming week, so I am going to bed!

Lorna Jane Clover Bra - Pretty!

I bought another Lorna Jane bra!  The Clover bra - confession: I check Lorna Jane Australian website for the newest stuff once in a while, so I know what is coming to the US in the near future.  There seems to be a couple weeks lag.  So I've had my eye on this bra for a while!  I keep stalking the US site for it and finally it showed up!  But I guess others must have been checking as well because it literally sold out within like 2 days.  They still have full size stock of them on the Australian side.  It seems a little fishy, because I think Lorna Jane is way more popular in Australia than it is in the US.  I'm guessing they just send very few quantities to sell on the US site.  But if you live near a Lorna Jane store, you can still get one.

The color I got is called viola marl.  It's super pretty.  I just love the design of the back of this bra:

The color looks a lot more desaturated online than in person.  I think my photos below represent better how it looks in real life:

Lorna Jane bras come with these thick paddings to make you look boobie-licious

I think this one (size S) may fit a little tighter than my other Lorna Jane bras that are all size XS.  The bottom band is slightly wider, but the straps are definitely not loose.

Anyways, I gotta find some more open-back type of shirts to show off this bra!

Lululemon Swiftly Tech Racerback in Heathered Plum

I ordered the Lululemon Swiftly Tech Racerback in heathered plum on Monday night after their weekly upload.  I love this shade on me and love the bordeaux drama colored wunder under crops and dance studio pants from last year that are very similar to plum.  I have no idea why I didn't also buy the bordeaux drama cool racerback when it was out, but I was not letting this plum swiftly getting away!  I am kind of over cool racerbacks anyway, and have been loving my swiftly racerbacks in a size up.  I just really love the more relaxed fit in this style and material.  I also find it much better to sweat in because it's so much more breathable, lighter and dries way faster than luon.

Btw, I don't like how this tank looks on their web photo, but I knew it would be better in person lol.

I think the web photos kind of washed out the color a bit.  In person it is darker and redder.  At least compared to how they look on my laptop monitor.

Here it is on me!  I really prefer the looser and longer fit of the size 6 on me, vs how it fits their model.  Worn with the Run Fast short in oasis.

It's nice to take a break from all their spring and summer bright colors!  I am looking forward to more earthy and jewel toned colors from the fall collection.

Lululemon SeaWheeze Track Attack Skirt in Geometric Mosaic Print!

Lookie lookie what I got!  The Lululemon SeaWheeze special edition Track Attack skirt in this beautiful mosaic pattern!  The color code is TCWI/BLK/MOMU.  I did email Lululemon asking them what it stood for lol.  I'm kind of OCD like that!  But they don't know!!... wtf???  Their response was: "We currently do not have a listing of the SeaWheeze colour codes on hand. We will be forwarding your inquiry to the SeaWheeze team who will respond to you as soon as they find out what the TCWI/BLK/MOMU colour code is."  So... I'm not sure if I will actually hear back.  Might have to call them to bother them about this later.  But I'm baffled as to why they don't have a list of codes/names in their system.  Update: the color is tri check angel wing/black/mountie stripe multi!

I actually didn't like a single piece from last year's SeaWheeze merchandise.  But this year has a lot better looking stuff in my opinion.  This mosaic pattern is my favorite!  I got it on ebay on a whim.  I mean I literally only found it 5 minutes before the auction ended, and I didn't think I'd get it!  I only paid a small premium for it.  It retails for $68, so I figure if I were to pay 10% tax on it, I would have paid around $74.  I got it on ebay for $86 (+ shipping).  It was pricey, but not horribly so, especially considering SeaWheeze is just over.  I figure if I had gone to Vancouver for it, I would have paid much more on travel costs lol.  So I'm ok with that.  After I got it and confirmed how cute the pattern is in person, I'm totally ok with it!

The inner shorts are in this fun stripey pattern:

I got this skirt in size 4, my regular Lulu size.  I actually tried on the Track Attack skirt in the store when it first came out a couple weeks ago in love red.  I put on size 4 and actually found it to be very loose fitting.  So I was kind of afraid that this skirt would also be too loose.  Apparently I bought it anyways, and it actually fits well I think!  It's still on the looser side, but definitely not too loose, and not as loose as what I remember of the love red ones.  Here are some close ups:

The inner shorts are actually quite long and can peek out from under the skirt:

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of that look though.  I kind of prefer seeing just the skirt.  So I can hike the shorts up a little and then they stay completely hidden under the skirt.  I can't even feel the difference at all comfort wise.

Oh yeah, and here's the cute SeaWheeze logo with the mermaid on top of the normal Lulu logo!  This is so cute.

As you can see, this pattern consists of tons of different colors, which means this skirt will go with a lot of tops that I already have.  My Splits59 Ashby tank in yucca is a near perfect match to the light teal color in the pattern.  The dark blue looks a lot like my Wish Blue cool racerback.  The orangey red color is exactly like the Alo Sport Zen Layer Back tank, but is also close enough to my Electric Orange cool racerback and my passion/flash colored tanks.  The lightest color in the print looks white in this photo, but it's actually a very light oatmeal type of color, maybe it's Lululemon's dune color.  My Alo Sport Bamboo Rev tank is basically a shorter white layer on the outside over a longer yellow layer on the inside, and the portion that overlaps is exactly the same color as the pattern.  I don't have an exact yellow that matches the yellow in the pattern, but I do have mellow lemon and burning yellow pieces that would work.  Of course there is black in the pattern also which I actually think looks best with this skirt, especially with its black trimming.  I feel like this pattern is already so colorful that a black top actually brings it out the most.

From left to right:  Splits59 Ashby tank in yucca, Lululemon electric orange cool racerback, Lululemon wish blue cool racerback, Alo Sport bamboo rev tank and Alo Sport zen layer back tank

I was trying to figure out which of my existing shoes work the best with this skirt.  I really wish I had all black shoes!!  But I think my Nike Frees in gray/crimson (bottom left of the picture below) works.  The middle ones, Nike Frees in violet, also sort of matches the colors in the skirt but I feel like it's a little bit too busy.  On the right I have on my New Balance Minimus Road shoes which are mostly white with pink trim.  The pink is a little off, but it's do-able since it's not overwhelming.

Anyways!  So fun to figure out different things to wear with this skirt!  I am happy I have it, even though it makes me a little sick to think about how much I spent on it lol.  Well... the escrow process on my condo is going well so far, with the last contingency (loan) to be removed this week.  So hopefully this means lots of cash for me in the near future to pay for frivolous things like this!

Sunday Funday!

I worked out every single day this week!  Lol.  I had some classes expiring soon at my pilates studio, so I had to go a couple times this week.  I love it though, and it feels like a non-workout even though it is very hard and I usually feel it the next day in different places all over my body.  But it's fun and time always goes by fast!  I'm worried about not getting enough rest time.  But I also don't want my classes to go to waste!

I've been extra hungry now that I'm doing interval training 4 times a week.  I used to do this a lot before I started my current training program.  I forgot how hungry I'd always get from it!  Now I'm not even running during my high intensity intervals... just walking at a fast pace on high incline treadmill or step mill.  Still I feel ravenous!  I have seen much more definition in my abs now though, so the combination of my weight training and intervals must be doing good things!  I swear my abs are so stubborn, always refusing to show any definition, so I'm actually a little surprised by the progress in the last couple weeks.

Monday 8/12
What I did:  Pilates.

What I wore:  Lululemon Hot Class tank in bold blue, with Beyond Yoga Essential Gather Long Leggings.  First time I wore these leggings.  Loved them for pilates!  Full length leggings work well for the reformer machine I think.  Not a huge difference by any means though.

It's been so hot here, but the class was kind of late in the evening so I took my bold blue Principle Jacket as to and from.  It was very matchy matchy with the tank!

Tuesday 8/13
What I did:  Weights, lower body, followed by 30 minutes of interval on the treadmill.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Kayla tank for the first time - loved it!  The back keeps me so cool during sweaty cardio session.  I wore it with Lululemon Free To Be bra in laceoflage.  And Splits59 Nova Capris and Adidas adizero adiso 2 shoes.

Wednesday 8/14
What I did:  Upper body weights - shoulders and tris.  Then 30 minutes of intervals on 15% incline treadmill.  During the "high intensity" portion, I did it on 4.5 mph and "low" portion I did 3 mph.

What I wore:  Lululemon cool racerback in groovy stripe nimbus, with Yogasmoga Run Jump n' Play crops and Nike Frees in violet.  I forgot about these crops for a while, but I really like the way they fit.  They offer pretty decent compression, and make the legs look slimming.  They do attract lint like crazy though!!  If I put my towel on them, some of the white stuff will be on the material.

Thursday 8/15
What I did:  Upper body weights again, back and bi.  Then I did 30 minutes of the gauntlet with intervals incorporated.  I think I did between levels 6 and 14.

What I wore:  Lululemon swiftly racerback in very green with Lululemon Free To Be bra in faded zap under it.  I love this tank in size 6.  I think I'll always size up in it from now on.  I totally forgot I had these, but I found and wore the Lululemon Bandha crops in light soot, and Nike Frees in gray/crimson.

The way the top portion of the waistband folds onto itself during workouts is pretty annoying.  But I figured out that if you just wear it folded down already, it stays that way and doesn't bother me anymore!  I like the way it looks too:

Oh yeah, here's my "old lady" work outfit lol.  I took out this old Armani Exchange sweater wrap thing, and wore it with Express tweed corset skirt and Ivanka Trump Pinkish pumps. and a matching Express pink shirt under.

Friday 8/16
What I did:  Weights again!  Lower body, and followed by 30 minutes of interval on treadmill.

What I wore:  Lululemon No Limit tank in caspian blue with Lorna Jane Marvel 3/4 Tight and Nike Frees again.

Saturday 8/17
What I did:  I finished off my 5th day of weight training by doing upper body super sets, followed by my 4th and final interval session of the week.  30 minutes on the treadmill again.

What I wore:  Lululemon cool racerback in midnight iris multi with bordeaux drama wunder under crops and New Balance Minimus Road shoes.  I don't have any plum bottoms, but I think bordeaux is very very similar.

I love how the midnight iris print has plum in it that goes with the crops!  Here's a closer up.

Sunday 8/18
What I did:  Pilates!  Great class done.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Erika Excel tank and Lululemon Ebb & Flow crops in black.  I wore my Zigi Kickin wedge sneakers as to and from of course.  They are like my uniform now!

This week was tough, not gonna lie!  And it starts again tomorrow with the new week and another 5 days of weights!  Yikes!
