Lululemon SeaWheeze Track Attack Skirt in Geometric Mosaic Print!

Lookie lookie what I got!  The Lululemon SeaWheeze special edition Track Attack skirt in this beautiful mosaic pattern!  The color code is TCWI/BLK/MOMU.  I did email Lululemon asking them what it stood for lol.  I'm kind of OCD like that!  But they don't know!!... wtf???  Their response was: "We currently do not have a listing of the SeaWheeze colour codes on hand. We will be forwarding your inquiry to the SeaWheeze team who will respond to you as soon as they find out what the TCWI/BLK/MOMU colour code is."  So... I'm not sure if I will actually hear back.  Might have to call them to bother them about this later.  But I'm baffled as to why they don't have a list of codes/names in their system.  Update: the color is tri check angel wing/black/mountie stripe multi!

I actually didn't like a single piece from last year's SeaWheeze merchandise.  But this year has a lot better looking stuff in my opinion.  This mosaic pattern is my favorite!  I got it on ebay on a whim.  I mean I literally only found it 5 minutes before the auction ended, and I didn't think I'd get it!  I only paid a small premium for it.  It retails for $68, so I figure if I were to pay 10% tax on it, I would have paid around $74.  I got it on ebay for $86 (+ shipping).  It was pricey, but not horribly so, especially considering SeaWheeze is just over.  I figure if I had gone to Vancouver for it, I would have paid much more on travel costs lol.  So I'm ok with that.  After I got it and confirmed how cute the pattern is in person, I'm totally ok with it!

The inner shorts are in this fun stripey pattern:

I got this skirt in size 4, my regular Lulu size.  I actually tried on the Track Attack skirt in the store when it first came out a couple weeks ago in love red.  I put on size 4 and actually found it to be very loose fitting.  So I was kind of afraid that this skirt would also be too loose.  Apparently I bought it anyways, and it actually fits well I think!  It's still on the looser side, but definitely not too loose, and not as loose as what I remember of the love red ones.  Here are some close ups:

The inner shorts are actually quite long and can peek out from under the skirt:

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of that look though.  I kind of prefer seeing just the skirt.  So I can hike the shorts up a little and then they stay completely hidden under the skirt.  I can't even feel the difference at all comfort wise.

Oh yeah, and here's the cute SeaWheeze logo with the mermaid on top of the normal Lulu logo!  This is so cute.

As you can see, this pattern consists of tons of different colors, which means this skirt will go with a lot of tops that I already have.  My Splits59 Ashby tank in yucca is a near perfect match to the light teal color in the pattern.  The dark blue looks a lot like my Wish Blue cool racerback.  The orangey red color is exactly like the Alo Sport Zen Layer Back tank, but is also close enough to my Electric Orange cool racerback and my passion/flash colored tanks.  The lightest color in the print looks white in this photo, but it's actually a very light oatmeal type of color, maybe it's Lululemon's dune color.  My Alo Sport Bamboo Rev tank is basically a shorter white layer on the outside over a longer yellow layer on the inside, and the portion that overlaps is exactly the same color as the pattern.  I don't have an exact yellow that matches the yellow in the pattern, but I do have mellow lemon and burning yellow pieces that would work.  Of course there is black in the pattern also which I actually think looks best with this skirt, especially with its black trimming.  I feel like this pattern is already so colorful that a black top actually brings it out the most.

From left to right:  Splits59 Ashby tank in yucca, Lululemon electric orange cool racerback, Lululemon wish blue cool racerback, Alo Sport bamboo rev tank and Alo Sport zen layer back tank

I was trying to figure out which of my existing shoes work the best with this skirt.  I really wish I had all black shoes!!  But I think my Nike Frees in gray/crimson (bottom left of the picture below) works.  The middle ones, Nike Frees in violet, also sort of matches the colors in the skirt but I feel like it's a little bit too busy.  On the right I have on my New Balance Minimus Road shoes which are mostly white with pink trim.  The pink is a little off, but it's do-able since it's not overwhelming.

Anyways!  So fun to figure out different things to wear with this skirt!  I am happy I have it, even though it makes me a little sick to think about how much I spent on it lol.  Well... the escrow process on my condo is going well so far, with the last contingency (loan) to be removed this week.  So hopefully this means lots of cash for me in the near future to pay for frivolous things like this!

  1. I love the pics with all the different tank and shoe options.

I have the Seawheeze plaid track attack shorts. They go with so many tops because of the colors in the plaid. I like wearing them with a pop orange crb.

    1. I love the SeaWheeze plaid too! I think I like it better than the Sea Check plaid shorts that I have. Too bad I can't get my hands on any. :(

  2. That looks great on you!

I'd say MOMU is 'mosaic multi', BLK is obviously black, and I'm not sure about TCWI.

  3. Okay, so this is what I think: TCWI/BLK/MOMU ---->Triangle Check White/Black/Mosaic Multi
