Sunday Funday!

I worked out every single day this week!  Lol.  I had some classes expiring soon at my pilates studio, so I had to go a couple times this week.  I love it though, and it feels like a non-workout even though it is very hard and I usually feel it the next day in different places all over my body.  But it's fun and time always goes by fast!  I'm worried about not getting enough rest time.  But I also don't want my classes to go to waste!

I've been extra hungry now that I'm doing interval training 4 times a week.  I used to do this a lot before I started my current training program.  I forgot how hungry I'd always get from it!  Now I'm not even running during my high intensity intervals... just walking at a fast pace on high incline treadmill or step mill.  Still I feel ravenous!  I have seen much more definition in my abs now though, so the combination of my weight training and intervals must be doing good things!  I swear my abs are so stubborn, always refusing to show any definition, so I'm actually a little surprised by the progress in the last couple weeks.

Monday 8/12
What I did:  Pilates.

What I wore:  Lululemon Hot Class tank in bold blue, with Beyond Yoga Essential Gather Long Leggings.  First time I wore these leggings.  Loved them for pilates!  Full length leggings work well for the reformer machine I think.  Not a huge difference by any means though.

It's been so hot here, but the class was kind of late in the evening so I took my bold blue Principle Jacket as to and from.  It was very matchy matchy with the tank!

Tuesday 8/13
What I did:  Weights, lower body, followed by 30 minutes of interval on the treadmill.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Kayla tank for the first time - loved it!  The back keeps me so cool during sweaty cardio session.  I wore it with Lululemon Free To Be bra in laceoflage.  And Splits59 Nova Capris and Adidas adizero adiso 2 shoes.

Wednesday 8/14
What I did:  Upper body weights - shoulders and tris.  Then 30 minutes of intervals on 15% incline treadmill.  During the "high intensity" portion, I did it on 4.5 mph and "low" portion I did 3 mph.

What I wore:  Lululemon cool racerback in groovy stripe nimbus, with Yogasmoga Run Jump n' Play crops and Nike Frees in violet.  I forgot about these crops for a while, but I really like the way they fit.  They offer pretty decent compression, and make the legs look slimming.  They do attract lint like crazy though!!  If I put my towel on them, some of the white stuff will be on the material.

Thursday 8/15
What I did:  Upper body weights again, back and bi.  Then I did 30 minutes of the gauntlet with intervals incorporated.  I think I did between levels 6 and 14.

What I wore:  Lululemon swiftly racerback in very green with Lululemon Free To Be bra in faded zap under it.  I love this tank in size 6.  I think I'll always size up in it from now on.  I totally forgot I had these, but I found and wore the Lululemon Bandha crops in light soot, and Nike Frees in gray/crimson.

The way the top portion of the waistband folds onto itself during workouts is pretty annoying.  But I figured out that if you just wear it folded down already, it stays that way and doesn't bother me anymore!  I like the way it looks too:

Oh yeah, here's my "old lady" work outfit lol.  I took out this old Armani Exchange sweater wrap thing, and wore it with Express tweed corset skirt and Ivanka Trump Pinkish pumps. and a matching Express pink shirt under.

Friday 8/16
What I did:  Weights again!  Lower body, and followed by 30 minutes of interval on treadmill.

What I wore:  Lululemon No Limit tank in caspian blue with Lorna Jane Marvel 3/4 Tight and Nike Frees again.

Saturday 8/17
What I did:  I finished off my 5th day of weight training by doing upper body super sets, followed by my 4th and final interval session of the week.  30 minutes on the treadmill again.

What I wore:  Lululemon cool racerback in midnight iris multi with bordeaux drama wunder under crops and New Balance Minimus Road shoes.  I don't have any plum bottoms, but I think bordeaux is very very similar.

I love how the midnight iris print has plum in it that goes with the crops!  Here's a closer up.

Sunday 8/18
What I did:  Pilates!  Great class done.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Erika Excel tank and Lululemon Ebb & Flow crops in black.  I wore my Zigi Kickin wedge sneakers as to and from of course.  They are like my uniform now!

This week was tough, not gonna lie!  And it starts again tomorrow with the new week and another 5 days of weights!  Yikes!

  1. Your comments convinced me to finally purchase a pair of Beyond Yoga essential gather long leggings. The navy is on sale on Amazon for $32. I've been taking a lot of barre classes and think these will be great and good color for fall. Too bad there are no samples sales around these parts!

    1. $32 is not bad at all, and yes navy is a great color! The material is soooo soft, would be perfect for barre!

  2. I feel that way about pilates, too. Its seems challenging but not too hard and the next my core is killing me.

  3. Hi! I recall you liked your Ta Ta Topper tank awhile back. I was wondering if it stayed in place during spin or if the bottom rode up at all. The same question would apply to running too! I have been thinking of getting one and just wondered about function during cardio! I sold a Back On Track tank because it didn't seem to stay put, but loved the material... Thanks so much!

    1. Hi there, I did wear it to spin but not for running - I haven't done any running in months! But does walking on high incline treadmill count? :) Anyway, I didn't find the tank to ride up at all. I don't cinch the drawstring very tight on the bottom of it though. So it just drapes. If you made it tighter then I can see how it might ride up. I love the material too - super nice for sweaty activities!
