Sunday Funday!

Since I had Monday off due to it being Memorial Day, I also took off Tuesday and Wednesday!  So I had a 5 day weekend and only 2 day work week.  I didn't really do much except running errands, cleaning the house a bit, and working out.  Sometimes it is just nice to relax and chill.  But now that it's Sunday night again, I am looking at a full week of work ahead... not fun.  =(

I love going to the gym in the middle of the day though.  Nobody is ever there, and I can get all the equipments I need and take my time.  This was the 4th week of my training program - time flies!  I think I mentioned last week that my trainer increased my daily caloric intake from 1600 to 1700, and yet I am still leaning out and losing weight.  The most amazing thing is, it was that time of the month earlier this week, and not only did I not gain a single pound, I actually lost weight!  That must be a first.  I was totally amazed and had to weigh myself like 3 times just to make sure my scale wasn't being crazy!  My trainer says that it is a sign that your hormones are totally balanced when you have very small weight gain during this time.  I also did not have any cravings whatsoever.  Life is good!

Tuesday 5/28
What I did:  Monday and Tuesday were supposed to be my rest days from weights.  So I went to the gym and took a yoga class.  Then I had plans to play tennis with a friend later on, so that counts as one of my 3 cardio sessions that I'm supposed to do during the week.

What I wore:  For yoga, I wore Lululemon cool racerback in white jacquard mesh with white Free To Be bra under, and wunder under crops in bordeaux drama.

I wore the Alo Sport gray cowlneck hooded sweater as to and from.  Dang... this used to fit perfectly when I got it back in April and now it's all loose!

For tennis, I wore the Lija Compression Grand Slam dress finally!  I love this dress because it's not tight fitting around the waist so it is very airy.  I wore my Adidas adizero adios 2 shoes for it, which is actually not bad at all for tennis.

Wednesday 5/29
What I did:  Lower body weights!  I am doing squats with 95 lbs now!  Then I took a spin class as another cardio session of the week.  2 down, 1 more to go at this point!  This workout took it out of me, not gonna lie.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Analisa tank in teneriffe blue and Lululemon Run Passion crop in bright blue, with my Adidas shoes again!  I love these shoes for doing lower body weights.  They are just super stable.

Thursday 5/30
What I did:  Upper body weights.  Then walked on 15% incline for 30 minutes.  I'm glad I only had to do this once this week!

As to and from, I was more matchy matchy!  Wore my power purple swiftly 1/2 zip.

Friday 5/31 - rest day

Saturday 6/1
What I did:  Weights again!  Lower body.  Still sore from it today.

What I wore:  New Lolë GuËll tank top Banana Square, which I loved!  And Lululemon Team Spirit crop in coal/chirp.  Chirp is a little bit more saturated than banana square.  Adidas shoes.

Sunday 6/2
What I did:  Upper body weights.

What I wore:  The other new tank - Lolë Fly Tank Top in fusion coral and Lululemon Ebb & Flow crops in black.  I wore my Nike Frees because I think orange and blue make a winning combo lol.  I absolutely loved this tank too!  It's super nice, comfortable, didn't ride up, didn't move around, and is super cute and flattering cut.  Loved the material as well.  Might have to get another one.  I like the placement of the iphone pocket better on this tank.  The other one I wore yesterday has the pocket on the front and my legs would bump into my phone as I was doing squats or lunges so I had to take it out.

As to and from, I wore my Lululemon Journey jacket.

And that concludes this week!  I am so happy with the new workout stuff I've been getting lately, that I find myself looking forward to going to the gym.  I have no problem using cute workout gear as motivation to go workout lol.  More to write about next week too!  Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

  2. Hi! I really like your blog reviews of workout clothes, especially now that you're branching out beyond Lulu. That said, I am eyeing some Lulu Swiftly tops for summer and heard that they stretch out quite a bit as you sweat (and don't regain their shape after washing). Have you noticed that? I'm just trying to get sizing right. Thanks!

    1. Hi there! I don't think any of my swiftly tops stretched out. I have a lot... And I've had many of them for years. They are super light and dry really fast.
