Lululemon Ready & Go Tank & One More Free To Be Wild Bra

I made 2 orders from Lululemon item last week.  The first one was a full priced item which was the Ready & Go Tank in inkwell/blurry belle multi.  I thought it looked pretty cute and the colors are great.  So even though $68 is a lot for a top, I wanted to get it anyways especially since it's been a long while since I've bought a tank/bra combo from Lulu.

I read some of the reviews for this tank saying the bra ran small, and especially after how tight my size 6 Make A Move bra was, I thought I'd be safe and order a size 8.   Turns out, it was the right call!  At least for the bra.  I can't imagine having to wear a size smaller bra.  But the body of the tank is pretty loose, and looks unflattering.  I'm pretty unhappy with the fit, so much so that I walked over to Lululemon (I live like half a block away from the store but always buy online lol) and returned it immediately.  Oh yeah, and it didn't even come with bra cup inserts!  How rude.

I actually like baggy fitting tanks.  But I feel like my other baggy tanks are more flattering than this one.  In addition, the oversized tank look isn't my only issue with it.  The mesh material used in the tank felt pretty stiff to me.  It looks just like the circle mesh used in the older No Limit tank.  But it sure isn't the same.

Anyway, here's the tank up close.  The color combo is nice though.  It's too bad, but it was an easy decision to get my $72 back.

I've been buying regularly from Lululemon since 2009, and I've never bought anything other than size 4 and 6.  All my bottoms are size 4 exclusively.  Most of my tank/bra combos are size 4, tanks without bras are mostly size 4 as well.  But when it's a standalone bra, I normally get size 6.  Maybe it's just a coincidence, but my previous 2 experiences of recent Lululemon items have both shown to be running small.

In my second order, I got another Free To Be Wild bra, in capoeira multi/minty pink/white.  It was on sale for $34, I thought the color combo was super cute!

I got it in size 6.  I have like 5 other Free To Be Wild bras and they are all size 6.  When I took this one out, I thought it looked smaller.  So I laid it on top of another one I had - the cyber stripe/sea mist.  I wasn't crazy!  The new one is a good half an inch smaller laying flat, which means it's about an inch smaller in circumference.  This is what it looks like when the 2 bras are completely lined up on one side.  As you can see on the right side of the picture below, the one on top is much smaller.  It's also shorter overall:

Anyway, luckily this bra is quite stretchy so I can still wear it without feeling uber constricted.  But I really don't appreciate the inconsistent sizing!

Sunday Funday!

Phew... I'm finally done with my taxes!  Hahaha!  I have been waiting till the last minute to file for the last couple years.  I just really really hate this process lol.  I'm glad I found out on like last Thursday that this year's tax due date was pushed back to 4/18 due to 4/15 falling on Emancipation Day (didn't even know this "holiday" existed, I sure don't get it off work!)!  Otherwise I would have been so stressed trying to get it done last week!  Instead I had all day today to worry about it.  =)  It does feel good to get it over with so it is a very happy Sunday Funday indeed!

I got back into town from San Francisco late on Tuesday night, so my workout schedule got a bit eff'ed up this week.  But I pretty much expected that - I really should have packed gym clothes for San Francisco!  I wanted to only take a carry on with me though, and just didn't have enough room for gym clothes.  In the last couple days, I did manage to finish last week's workouts though lol.  So there's that.  I'm so behind!  Gotta get it together starting tomorrow!

Monday 4/11 - San Francisco.

Tuesday 4/12 - San Francisco.

To and From:  Vince Leather Scuba Jacket in grenadine

Thursday 4/14 - Well, I would have gone to the gym, but I was so tired and I thought I was getting a cold.  I managed to come on top though.  So perhaps it was a good decision to rest one more day!  Here's my work outfit:

Bottom:  Express High Yoke Waist Midi Pencil Skirt in houndstooth
Shoes:  Christian Dior Miss Dior Pump

I went out to dinner on Saturday night to this insanely "scene-y" place in Beverly Hills called Wally's.  It's a crazy wine bar which also has pretty good food.  It's really amazing how much wine they got... it's a big space and pretty much every wall is covered with wine from floor to ceiling!  Supposedly they don't take reservation, but when we showed up, they said all the tables were booked by "private parties" and told us the wait was going to be 2 hours for a party of 4, at 7:30 pm!  Not to mention the hostesses were suuuuper snobby.  Luckily one of my friends is very pushy and always gets what she wants lol, so she managed to get us in anyways.  We ended up sitting next to Mohamed Hadid, aka Gigi Hadid's dad.  So I guess that's the type of clientele they were "reserving" their tables for.  Whatever!  I did like the atmosphere a lot, and the food was pretty good (but very expensive with small portions!) but I am hesitant to go back because I'm just not into this Hollywood scene.

Anyway, here's what I wore - at least I got a "great dress!" from the door man!  Hahaha.  I actually wore this dress for the first time out, ever - the DVF Catherine Dress in midnight kiss.  I double wrapped the belt around my waist so there wasn't so much excess material, since the belt is made of leather on one side.  The reason I haven't wore this dress all this time I've had it is because the front shows a lot of cleavage lol.  But now that I have the Joe's Jeans Lace Bandeau top, problem solved!  So glad I got this!  Also wore some new Louboutin Lady Peeps I got.  More on that later.  =)

Today I woke up early but had a lot of errands to run.  Then I spent a good few hours on my tax return, so I didn't make it to the gym unfortunately.  Tomorrow is a new week though!  I feel like I haven't really been on top of my gym game the last few months.  But it is what it is... Have a great rest of the weekend!

Vince Mixed Media Embroidered Long Sleeve Button Up

I got another Vince top!  It is the Mixed Media Embroidered Long Sleeve Button Up and it's currently on sale from $345 to $138.

I think I've already said plenty about how much I love Vince in the past.  This blouse is 100% silk with faux leather trim.  I wish they had used real leather like they did on my cap sleeve v-neck top which is a very soft lamb skin leather.  But I guess that would make it even more expensive.  I really like this top though.  It's got super cute detailing in person.

I debated between getting size 2 and 4, but then size 2 was sold out so my decision was made for me and I got the 4!  It definitely fits loose, but I think it's a good fit.  I wouldn't want the chest to be too tight to button up.

Oh yeah, this blouse is made really long, as you can already tell on the model.  So I knew it was going to be a dress on me lol.  This is how it looks:

Obviously, it is way too long to wear like this.  But I always tuck my blouses into skirts/pants for work anyways so I will just have more material to tuck lol.  I do wish it was normal length so I can have the option of wearing it untucked casually with jeans or something.  But oh well.  It does look cute on the model, tucked into wide leg pants.

I still really like this top.  I just love the black piping and contrast look.

The cuff is very very wide.  There's only one button towards the top of the cuff, so the bottom flows open.  I like this look.

I feel like I already have multiple blouses that look similar to this one, such as my Ann Taylor blouse, Banana Republic contrast tie blouse, and another Vince blouse from their sample sale.  But honestly I wear them all to work on a regular basis, that I could have a few!  The white/ivory color family is great since they go with everything, and even better now that summer is right around the corner again!

Lululemon All Tied Up Tank Scoop & Ivivva Socks Again!

Finally I got something from Lululemon that I really like!  I got the All Tied Up Tank Scoop from we made too much last week.  It was only marked down to $39 from $48.  So, not much of a discount.  But enough for me to get it I guess!  I actually have always liked this tank style, but never tried it on before for some reason.  When I saw it marked down last week in the white color with rose gold foil kind of hem, I thought it was pretty cute!  So I got it, even though they only had size 8 and 10!  I went for the size 8...  I figured this style could fit very loose and still look good.  Also, the fact that you can tie it yourself in the back makes it even more customizable.

To my surprise, the size 8 isn't even all that loose!  The front doesn't scoop down too low either.  It's pretty much perfect.

When it's untied, sure it does look a bit loose from the side.  But the armpit doesn't dip very low:

When I tied it up in the back, it had that perfect loose but still cute fit that I like!

This tank is made of very thin cotton.  So it's not super soft or anything.  But I really like the style, and it would look cute with so many different bras!

The band gives it just enough sparkle so it's not just a boring white top!

I'm so happy to finally have liked something I ordered from Lulu!  It's been too long.

On the other hand, I am always happy with my Ivivva order lol.  I got more Everywhere Sock 3 Pack!  I love these socks so much.  They are all I wear to workout in.  They are seriously the perfect fit, material, and print.  I think I have like 20 pairs so far??  Plus, more I have, less often I have to do laundry.  =P  So now I have 6 more pairs!!

The color combos I got are Tranquil Blue/Iris Flower/Pop Orange:

And Sprinkler/Spry Blue/Bleached Coral (the bleached coral in the below pic looks orange, but in person they look more pink to me):

Cute right??  These socks make me so happy.  I get size X/S (I wear US size 6 shoes) and they fit perfectly.  I highly recommend.  Best 3 pairs of socks you can get for $18!
