So this week was not such a great workout week for me. One of my good friends from Paris spent 2 years in LA and left yesterday for good. So we had a couple goodbye events for him on Wednesday and Thursday. Then I had to drive up north for one night on Friday to see my mom, so that kind of messed up my workout schedule. And then I had a friend come into town to visit me last night and today. So it's been busy busy! I made it to the gym 3 times. It's not horrible all things considered, I suppose. This time of the year is always tough to stick to good workout and nutrition habits!
Monday 12/10
What I did: I went to the gym to do weights. Continued my New Rules of Lifting for Abs series. Still on stage 2. I did workout A, which required 120 burpees (10 more each week). Killer....
What I wore: Lululemon Run: Energy SL in potion purple, with Run A Marathon crop and Skora Phase shoes. These shoes do become more comfortable the more I wear them.
I wore my Lift Your Spirits jacket as to/from.
I also have my work outfit from the same day. I haven't had a chance to write about my latest Express purchases, which were many! I will definitely do so next week, but will post some "previews" here! I am wearing my new Editor Wide Waistband pants in "oatmeal". I love this color and the fit of these pants are awesome! Express is not always consistent, so the same style pants can fit pretty differently even in the same size and material. These happen to fit me really well. I bought them online so it was hit or miss. Glad it was a "hit"!
I'm wearing it with my Victoria's Secret cowneck sweater in regal blue, and my Ivanka Trump Pinkish pumps.
Tuesday 12/11
What I did: Yoga, it was a tough class too, and my stomach was sore for like 2 days after!
What I wore: Lululemon cool racerback in black embossed manifesto, with black heathered coal mini check Flow Y bra under. And bordeaux drama wunder under crops.

Wednesday 12/12
I did not workout since I had to attend my friend's goodbye happy hour. But I did take a photo of my work outfit from that day. It's a new shirt and new skirt from Express that I adore!
Thursday 12/13
What I did: Weights again, workout B of stage 2. Actually went to the gym before going to my friend's (2nd) goodbye get together. This time with different group of people of course, but I was invited to both so I went to both! I'm a good friend like that. =)
What I wore: Lululemon Scoop Me Up tank in caspian blue, and Ebb & Flow crops in black, with my Brooks Pure Drift shoes.
Oh yes, and here's my Thursday outfit too! Dang I was on it this week with my work outfits. =) I wore my Tahari ASL Sleeveless Ponte dress with my Ash Orchid boot.
Friday 12/14
I didn't workout since I had to drive up north to see my mom. I even took a half day at work so I didn't have to drive too late at night. But I did take a picture of my work outfit! I wore this new sweater dress from Express, with my Ash Orchid boots again. I realized when I was taking this picture at work, that the dress was probably a little too short to wear to work. Oh well!
It's been cold here lately, so I have been wearing my Express peacoat from a couple years ago. I love coats, with sweater dress and boots! I should live in a colder climate. Hehe.
Ok, and that's it, because I didn't workout this weekend! I did walk around the mall ALL DAY today, which should totally count as a workout. So tired now too! It's my bed time, since I have to be at work at 6 am tomorrow! Hope everyone had a great weekend and got lots of holiday shopping done!
it's funny how yoga can make you sore even when you've been a weight lifting maniac! How is your mom's knee??
ReplyDeleteI know! It's crazy how your body gets used to one thing and then when you change it up, you get all sore! It's great though, I love the sore feeling actually.. makes me feel like I did something right lol.
DeleteAwww thanks for remembering and asking about my mom's knee! She's getting better everyday and she can actually feel the improvement. Now she's graduated to being able to walk in her soft case slowly at home, and using only one crutch when going outside. So there is definitely progress!

ReplyDeleteOh yes, definitely! I for sure know that I am a lot stronger now. Not just my core, but overall. I think this is a great workout if you push yourself enough to make a difference.
