Sunday Funday!

I always believe that when I get a 4 day work week, it actually feels longer than a regular 5 day week.  This week was no exception!  We had Monday off work since it was Veteran's Day, and I actually spent most of it in Seattle since my flight wasn't until like 7 pm.  I got pretty lucky with the weather in Seattle.  There was no rain at all for the 3 days I was there.  But Monday was the absolute best.  It was actually sunny!  I happened to have booked a lunch reservation at the Skycity Restaurant, which is the rotating restaurant on top of the Space Needle.  It couldn't have been a more perfect day for that.  By the way, this restaurant is a great deal!  It costs $20 to go up to the observation deck of the Space Needle, but if you have a reservation at the restaurant, then it's free.  They do require a $25 minimum per person at the restaurant.  But you get a pretty damn good meal, for around $30-35 per entree.  So I think it's totally worth it.  I had a lobster toast, which was HUGE and piled with lobster.  So so good!  The view is unbeatable too!  I thought it was going to be one of those places where you pay for the location but not the food.  But it was actually very good!

This was my view:

Not too shabby huh??

Anyway, so when I was in Seattle, I had brunch at this cute place called Tilikum Place Cafe.  Their signature Brunch dish was Dutch Babies, which is a baked pancake in a cast iron skillet.  I did some googling and it's actually a German style pancake, despite the name.  It's very light and fluffy, kind of like a souffle.  I thought it was a cute idea so I actually created my own version of it yesterday!  I made regular pancake batter but replaced half of the flour in the recipe with almond flour.  You just can't go wrong with almond flour.  Or almond butter.  Or anything almond related, in my opinion.  :)  Then I skipped the butter, and baked them in my creme brulee set which I bought a long time ago and never touched!  I threw in some dried orange cranberries (from Traders) and a little bit of brown sugar on top.  It turned out pretty well!

I think I'll make mini quiche in these creme brulee cups next weekened.  Lol.

So, I skipped my normal Monday lower body workout while I was in Seattle since the hotel gym wasn't really equipped well enough to do everything my program calls for.  I just did my 30 minute high incline treadmill walk instead.  But I only brought one gym outfit to Seattle... and already wore it on Sunday... which meant I had to re-wear the same outfit.  Eek.  Well... at least my Lululemon Wunder Grooves and Cool Racerback are both reversible!  So I just wore the reverse side of both and it made me feel slightly better lol.

But I was happy to return to the gym on Tuesday!  I did all 5 of my weight workouts in a row again.  So I took today off as rest day.  I'm glad next week will return to normal schedule.

Tuesday 11/12
What I did:  My lower body weights workout, followed by 30 minutes of cardio.

What I wore:  Lululemon cool racerback in groovy stripe nimbus, with very green Free To Be bra under it.  New Lululemon Inspire crop in deep zinfandel, and Nike Free shoes in gray/crimson.  Very colorful!  I liked this outfit a lot.

I wore the Splits59 Cameron jacket as to and from:

Wednesday 11/13
What I did:  Upper body bi/back weights, and then cardio afterwards.

What I wore:  My newest Lululemon Seawheeze cool racerback in retro stripe multi!  I LOVE this tank!!  I got so many compliments on it too.  I think this one girl liked it so much that she was contemplating ripping it off of me.  I was skeeeeered!  I wore Victoria's Secret VSX Sport Supermodel cami bra under it.  Paired it with Lululemon Run A Marathon crop, and Nike Frees in violet.  Love all the color combos in this tank!!

Oh yeah, after I got home, I realized that there was a small hole in the butt crack area of my crops lol.  Oops!  Dammit!!  It looks like a small tear along the middle seam.  I hope I can get it repaired.  Maybe I'll take these to a Lulu store and ask if their seamstress can fix it.

I wore the Lululemon Principle Jacket as to and from.  The bold blue in the jacket is a very close match to pigment blue in the tank.

Ok, so I've been wishing the weather would cool down, but it actually got up to the 90s earlier this week.  Apparently, I am quite stubborn.  Soooo this is the outfit I wore to work... DEPT luxury knit flared dress, with SYLK jacket over, and this very very nice Pashmina scarf I received as a gift from India months ago and totally forgot about.  I think I got overheated on my walk to my car... lololol.  At least I didn't wear tights!  Also seen here are Ivanka Trump Pinkish pumps, and my LV Neverfull purse that I use almost everyday.  Best purchase ever.

Here's a close up of my scarf.  It is sooooo pretty.  I'm quite impressed with pashmina, because even though it is very very lightweight and thin, it's extremely warm.  It's warmer than my cashmere scarves!

Thursday 11/14
What I did:  Tricep and shoulder weights.  I started doing my weighted negative pull-ups with 15 lbs (I just put a dumbbell in between my legs) and I'm surprised how much harder it is than 10 lbs.  I definitely felt it the next day.  I did my 4th and final cardio session afterwards.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Macy excel tank with Lorna Jane Clover bra under.  Lululemon Run For Fun crop in paisley embossed, and black Nike Free Bionics.

The back of this tank is super open, so you can see the entire bra.  And apparently I was still sweaty when I took this pic!  Hehe.

I wore the Splits59 Vail cutout pullover as to and from.  I love this thing!

Ok, the next day I realized that I shouldn't be a crazy person, and put something more weather-appropriate for work:  Express marled rolled sleeve sweater, with an old Express pencil skirt and Ivanka Trump shoes again:

Friday 11/15
What I did:  Lower body weights.  This one starts with 5 sets of 8-10 box squats.  I increased my weight to 115 lbs which is like 20 lbs heavier than I used to do.  My legs were feeling it yesterday!  But they are already recovered today.  Pretty cool.

Love how this bra looks perfect under this tank:

As to and from, I wore my Splits59 Dallas Hoodie:

I love the hood of this hoodie:

Saturday 11/16
What I did:  Upper body supersets!  No cardio after since I was done with my 4th already for the week.  So it was a short workout, only about 45 minutes!

I put on the Lorna Jane Sophie top as to and from... I think this top was one of my best purchases of the year...

...Because it also passes as casual wear very well.  After I showered and got ready at the gym, I put it on over one of my many Zenana Outfitters $5 ribbed tanks, and wore my Yogasmoga Run Jump n' Play crop with Naughty Monkey Jump Start boots over.

Oh yeah, we got like a 20 degree weather drop this weekend, so I can wear boots again!

And sweater dress too!  I wore this Tiziana Cervasio color block sweater dress to brunch today with black tights and Ash Orchid boot.

I'm really really excited for cooler weather, and hope it stays this way for a few months!  It's just so nice to walk outside into the brisk air, and drink hot chocolate with Baileys!  Lol.  Ok, maybe not too many of those... by the way, the famous William Sonoma's hot chocolate is back again.  I was at the store today but couldn't decide which one to get so I didn't get any.  Classic, peppermint bark, or salted caramel!  I also have a full can of Trader Joe's sipping chocolate so I'm well stocked for now.  I have one of these like... once a month in the winter so it will probably last me for a few months lol.

  1. I love Dutch Babies. I think the name might be from the word Deutch.

The seawheeze tank is cute. I did the race but that top was sold out by the time I got to the store.

    1. Oh good call. I bet that's where the name came from. I've never seen it anywhere in California... I read that it was created in Seattle.
