Lululemon Scoop Me Up II Tank Power Purple, Free To Be Bra Very Green & Run Inspire Crop Inkwell/Burning Yellow/Mellow Lemon

First of all, I have to say that I am very very upset right now because I just got the Lululemon Run Inspire Crop in inkwell/burning yellow/mellow lemon on eBay, and I made a little cut in the crotch area of the crops when I was opening the package!  Ugh!!!  I am kicking myself in the butt right now for being so careless.  Anyone have any idea how to repair something like this with luxtreme?  I love these too... I tried them on in store a little while ago so I knew the calf opening wasn't wide like the pinkalicious ones I got and returned.  And I have all the yellow colors of tops to match!  So annoying...

Well, aside from my mishap, I also received the Scoop Me Up II tank in power purple.  I thought I would love this tank, because I love my Scoop Me Up tank in caspian blue.  I think that was the first one... I don't remember seeing the "II" in the name, but I could be wrong.  But when I put on the power purple one, I actually don't love it.  I got it in the same size as my other one - size 4.  But it feels a little tighter on, and the neck kind of digs in a little.  So I took out my caspian blue one and compared them side by side.  I don't think there's much difference up top.  And width appears to be the same.  But the new one is a good inch shorter than the caspian one.

So even though it's significantly shorter than the last batch, it doesn't actually look too short on.  Here are pictures of it on the model, and on me (with the inkwell Inspires on... sad face):

So I can't put my finger on it, but I somehow just don't love this tank as much as my caspian blue one.  Maybe it's because I'm depressed about ruining the Inspire crops.  But I think I'll take it back and exchange it for a cool racerback in power purple.

I also got the Free To Be bra in very green.  It is such a pretty color and I just had to get it.  I think it will look great with a bunch of my cool racerbacks.  As usual I got this bra in a size up to 6.  I'm not really sure why because I think I could wear it in a 4 too lol.

Anyways, not trying to be super whiny, but I am so bummed!!!  I was looking forward to getting these because I had regretted not getting them in the store when I tried them on.  And then when I went back they were gone.  Now I have them, and I made a cut in them!  Was way too excited to open the package.  =(((  But if anyone has experience with mending luxtreme, or any advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

  2. Seamstresses work magic. Take it in and talk to them (a good one), they'll be able to carefully stitch up the edges. Better still, if its in the gusset they can replace the gusset, or if close to a seam then close the seams. Good luck!

  3. Ask around to your friends and coworkers about a good seamstress. I have an attorney friend who is only 5'5", a total clothes whore, and he has to have EVERYTHING tailored. The seamstress he uses here in NC has even shortened the sleeves on a $3k leather jacket with a button detail on the sleeve. My point is, don't panic. A good seamstress can fix just about anything. ;)

  4. Thank you guys... I'm super bummed about them, but will try and find a fix. I actually found a pair of these in the store today in size 6 so I bought them too just in case... I figure it's better to have an $80 loss than to have an $80 loss AND be upset. Lol.
