Sunday Funday!

So I had ordered about $200 worth of stuff from Sephora and had been anxiously expecting the package to arrive.  Well... turns out, somebody stole it from right outside of my door!  I live in a building where the concierge receives all packages and then distributes them to each unit.  When packages arrive before 5, they just put them inside of my unit.  But if they arrive after 5, they put them outside of the door without even ringing the doorbell (so as to not disturb you?  I'm not sure).  Of course this package was delivered by the delivery company at like 4:30, and the concierge didn't deliver it to my door until 7 pm, according to their log.  Well... I never saw it at all, so I can only assume that somebody walked by and took it!  I'm so upset.  I need to talk to more people tomorrow, but I'm not sure what their policy is regarding stolen packages.  I'm also not sure if Sephora would cover me since the package was delivered to the building.  So I might just be SOL and out of 200 bucks!

Even more upsetting is that I pay a crap load to live in a really nice building, yet I still can't prevent being neighbors with such a shitty person.  I hope she (or he?!) is allergic to the items I ordered!  Lol.  But seriously, this is why I hate it when retailers send their packages with labels plastered all over.  When I ordered from Sephora in the past, they always sent in a box with huge "SEPHORA" written on it.  Lululemon is even worse.  It's like asking to have them stolen!  I order so much online, but now I will always be wary.  I'm going to talk to the concierge tomorrow and there is no way I'll let them leave anything outside of my door from now on.  Not even my water delivery service.

So that was kind of a downer on my weekend.  =(  Other than that, I had to do a lot of cleaning and organizing, since my bf's parents are coming in a couple days to stay with us for like 2 weeks!  I've met them once before, but 2 weeks is a long time under the same roof.  I'm kind of nervous!  I still have a couple more days to get everything ready though.

Anyways, I trained hard this week at the gym!  Even got in a cardio session.  I think it was my only cardio session in the last 2 weeks!  So interesting that I used to do cardio all the time and now I do almost 0.  Strength training is the best!

  1. Are there any cameras outside the units that could've captured anything?

    1. There are only cameras pointing at the main door and the exits. Not the units. :( Besides, I think they only livestream and not record.

  2. I would still try to complain to sephora if you haven't already. So sad your neighbors would do that to you :(

    1. I did contact Sephora... they said they will need about a week to investigate with the shipping company. I'm not sure if they will end up reimbursing me as they (and the shipping company) did their part...

    1. I think most credit card purchase protection programs do not cover perishable items, which includes cosmetics. I used Chase Freedom, and it sounds like their purchase protection doesn't cover "mysterious disappearance" as well as cosmetics:

      What is not covered?
"Items that mysteriously disappear. “Mysterious disappearance” means the vanishing of an item in an unexplained manner when there is an absence of evidence of a wrongful act by a person or persons."
" Perishables, consumables, including but not limited to perfumes, cosmetics, and limited-life items such as rechargeable batteries"
