Sam Edelman Ella Platform Peep Toe Pump

I got the Sam Edelman Ella Platform Peep Toe Pump from Gilt, because they are only $59!  I love Sam Edelman shoes.  I could use another pair of nude pumps anyway.  So I got them.  They come in both a matte nude and a patent nude.  I got the matte nude because I already have patent nude shoes.  The color I got is called nude lea.

The little snake skin print or whatever on the heel makes them just a little bit more interesting looking.  I got them in my normal size 6.  I would say they actually fit slightly on the large side.  I could probably wear a 5.5!  But with the size 6, my feet don't slip out or anything so I guess that's ok.

I think the leather used in these shoes is not as nice as other Sam Edelman shoes that I have.  These are not really soft.  In fact, I had to double check that they are indeed leather.  They feel almost more plastic to me lol.  I guess the good thing about that is that they stay their shape well.  They don't hurt or dig into my feet, but the feel of the material itself is just not as nice as I'd expect.  Maybe that's why these are so cheap now.  They are actually on sale for only $40 on Sam Edelman's website!  But only large sizes left.

I like the way they look, and I think the color is good.  They are comfortable enough, though not nearly as comfortable as my other Sam Edelman shoes either.  That's probably because my other pairs have a way bigger platform making them a lower rise than these.  So I like these for the price I paid, but any more than $60 I'd say there are probably better options out there.

I've already worn them a few times though.  To work, mostly.  They are obviously very versatile and go with everything.  I was actually thinking that I should get the patent black ones in this style.  But now I'm thinking maybe I'll find a better quality pair from elsewhere.  So yeah, my verdict is that I'm keeping them for the style and price, but they are not up to par with other Sam Edelman shoes!
