Sunday Funday!

I just got back from a long day at the Camarillo outlet today!  Didn't even think I was out for that long, but I left the house right after the Netherlands vs Mexico soccer game and just now got home, so it's been more than 8 hours!  I got some pretty good deals, which I will have to post about later!  But serious shopping is like a workout... my legs/feet are quite tired lol.

So anyway, speaking of working out, I had a pretty great week!  I've had more than a week now of eating about 2000 calories a day, which includes 220g of carbs a day.  I was kind of wary about that in the beginning, but I actually feel great!  I think I really need that for the amount of training I do, and I'm beginning to see different little muscles here and there that I swear did not exist before!  My trainer changed up some of my workouts and whenever that happens, I always get so sore!  I guess it just goes to show how your body can adapt to exercises that you perform often, and it's good to change things up to keep challenging yourself.

Monday 6/23 - Rest day but I wore my new W118 by Walter Baker Wanda jacket to work!  H&M printed tank under it, and black Express wide waistband editor pant.  Coach Nala patent pumps.

Tuesday 6/24
What I did:  Lower body weights day.  My friend video taped me doing some of the exercises!  I thought I'd share here... hehe.  These are 2 lower body exercises that I do a lot - squats (sumo squats in this case) and hip thrusts (I do this like 3 days a week).

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Feline tank with Lorna Jane Somersault bra under, the new Splits59 Nova Viper capri (love!!!) and printed Nike Free 3.0s.  I like that you can see the sheen of the python print in the video!

As to and from, I wore the Splits59 Venus jacket:

Wednesday 6/25
What I did:  Shoulder/tri workout, then I did a treadmill/plyo workout.  i.e. treadmill for 2 min, then jumping lunges, squats, etc. back and forth for about 25 min.  Breaks it up a little from my normal step mill cardio.

What I wore:  Lululemon Waterbound Singlet with Lululemon Centered Energy bra in flash under it.  Splits59 Nova Trailblazer in red/mint, and Nike Free 3.0 in gray/crimson.

Lululemon Turn Around LS as to and from:

Thursday 6/26
What I did:  Glute/back/bi workout, then 30 minutes of gauntlet machine.  It was such a long workout!

Friday 6/27
What I did:  Lower body workout again!

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Team LJ tank with Lorna Jane Duo bra in yves blue under.  Lululemon Wunder Under crop in pretty palm cadet blue, and printed Nike Free 3.0s.

I thought these crops might slide down because of the lower rise, and I did have to pull them up a couple times.  But not bad at all.  I was also pretty sweaty, because lower body workouts do that to me.  So as soon as I start sweating, they just stay put.

Splits59 Vail Cutout pullover in marianna blue as to and from:

Wore the same color scheme to work that day!  This old blue Express cowlneck sweater and new Catherine Malandrino Collet skirt with Sam Edelman Novato slingbacks.

Saturday 5/28
What I did:  Last workout of the week which was upper body supersets, then 30 minutes on the gauntlet to finish it off.

What I wore:  Don't laugh -  Lululemon cool racerback in wee are from space white barely pink, with Ivivva Spacedye Rhythmic crop in pow pink light/flash light/creamsicle pop.  New Balance Minimus Road shoes.

At first I thought maybe it was too much stripes on top and bottom!  But I think it's actually not too bad since the top is so subtle!  Hehe.

I got this long sleeve cropped mesh top from Express a while ago - it's only $9!  Comes in 4 colors.  Not bad at all.  It was a warm day so I wore it to and from the gym.

Here are some close ups of the top - I got it in size S:

Alright, that's the end of this week!  Tomorrow it all starts again!  I'm going to have to be at work by 6ish all week so my workouts will be cut way short.  At least it's a short week since Friday is 4th of July!  I better get to bed now, hope you all had a great weekend!

Aryn K Pointelle Linen Blend Sweater Tank

I bought the Aryn K Pointelle Linen Blend Sweater Tank from Hautelook last week and I actually like it a lot more than I thought I would!  It's no longer on Hautelook, but it's only $31 on 6pm here.  I think it's a great top to wear on its own with shorts or pants, or it would look great under a jacket as well.  The laser cut details on it are pretty cool!

Front

Back

So I got this in XS because it was the only size left.  It actually fits pretty loosely still.  I was worried that it might be too tight or too short.  But I think it's fine!  I was inspired by the Hautelook model's leather pants paired with this top.  So I tried it on with my Express faux leather scuba legging, and MaxStudio Elaine sandals.

Of course, since it's white, it will go with pretty much anything!  I can see this top being used a lot.  =)

Lululemon Fatigue Camo & Cadet Pretty Palm Wunder Under Crops

As you all know, I've been waiting for Lululemon to bring the fatigue camo Mod Moves crop to North America forever!  I finally gave up hope.  But then they came out with the full on luxtreme wunder under crops in this print!  By the way, why are they still available in all sizes?  I thought camo stuff always sell out within a heart beat.  Maybe they made a crap load of them for a change, or people are getting tired of camo!  But, not me!  Lol.

I also bought the Pretty Palm Cadet Greyvy print because I liked the black pretty palm print on the Run A Marathon II crop but had to return them due to the ill fit.  I actually like the cadet version of this print better anyway!

I love how they styled the model here with white top and gray/navy shoes:

I've never tried on luxtreme wunder under crops before.  But I ordered my regular size 4.  I must say that these fit tighter than luon wunder under crops.  It also feels like the rise is lower than luon ones.  If you yank them up too much, it will give you major cameltoe.  I supposed it's because luon is a more forgiving fabric, and stretchier than full-on luxtreme.  They completely pass the bend-over test though!

Here they are on me!  I love both prints and I think they are both keepers!

I think for me, I'd stick with my regular size because I like the compression and I'd be afraid that a size up would slide down during a workout.  If I were between sizes, I'd definitely size up.  I'm curious to try on a size 6 though.  If you have this style, did you find a size up works better?
