Lululemon Speed Shorts in Sea Check Multi / Plum

I saw these Lululemon Speed Shorts in sea check multi / plum last week during the upload but didn't get them, because... well I'm not that into plaids unless it's made of colors I really dig.  This one seems a little juvenile.  Also, I'm not really into Speed Shorts either lol.  I've tried them on multiple times throughout the years, and never find them to fit quite right.  For a while they flared out so much on me that it looked silly.  But this seemed to have been fixed a while ago.  Well, one of my friends was at the store this weekend and picked up these sea check multi speeds for me.  So I am debating whether I want to keep them or not.  I think I prefer this print in a skirt instead, especially since I have been playing tennis more.  So I just ordered the Pace Setter skirt in it.  I will decide later which ones to keep, or maybe I'll return both.

Anyways, here they are on me.  My regular size - 4.

    1. That's kind of rude... and I think they fit her fine!! Who are you to tell someone how her clothes should fit?! Short of her a$$ hanging out of the shorts, why would anyone else care if she chooses to wear her shorts more fitted versus baggy?

    2. I don't think she meant it in a bad way. Telling someone to size up doesn't mean that their huge, it's just an opinion. I personally like the way the shorts fit on our lovely model but I can see why she suggested a size up. Squats, lunges and various weight lifting require a fairly large range of movement. Perhaps she thought she'd feel more comfortable in a size up.

Love, love, love your blog. I check it daily.

    3. I think the size is actually perfect on you. I was just wishing I could wear the 4's as well as you do!! I am in between 4 and 6, so I opt up for the 6 and they are slightly too baggy, but fit better then the 4's.

  2. These look great on you!! I haven't seen too many pics that I like of these yet, maybe it's your choice of tank color that sets them off just right.

PS - thanks for the break in my day. Sometimes reading your blog gives me a moment of sanity :-)

  3. I like the plaid pattern. I am not sure if I want the pacesetter or shake and break shorts in it since I already have the seawheeze plaid shorts.

  5. I think the shorts are cute! I would love to get them but I think my legs look really fat. So I still don't dare to wear shorts/skirts yet. :(

Btw, I would like to check with you how do you managed to drink 3 litres of water a day. I think drinking water is important for weight management. Especially since my doc told me that I should drink lots of water if I am taking whey protein supplement. But I tried and at best, I can only get in 2 litres per day.

Thanks for sharing all your experiences and tips so generously!

    1. I think you just gotta force yourself to do it... hahaha... if you are not used to drinking a lot of water, it is hard at first but you will get used to it. You might have to go to the bathroom a lot in the beginning too! I typically drink more before lunch, and I definitely drink a lot while I'm working out. I'd say I get at least 1/3 - 1/2 of my water intake during and after workouts.

  8. I like the 4s on you. I think 6s might look unflattering.

  11. Just an FYI. I think this ebay posting is using one of your photos: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LULULEMON-12-Run-Swiftly-Tech-LS-Yoga-Long-Sleeve-Top-MELLOW-LEMON-/390641805824?pt=US_Womens_Athleticwear&hash=item5af410ea00

  12. I think those shorts look adorable on you, and it's obvious how hard you work to look the way you do! The size, in my opinion, looks perfect! I love the sea check pattern, and I'm 13 years older than you (I don't think they look juvenile).

  13. Thank you everyone! You all are too sweet. :) I am leaning towards keeping these shorts now that I have the skirt also, and hate it! Haha... They are definitely different from my normal workout wear, in a much brighter combination of colors and pattern! A break from 90% of my bottoms which consist of black and different shades of gray. :)
