Walter Cameron Dress

I bought a new dress from Gilt and I love it!  I've been on a dress kick lately, if you can't tell.  I just think they are so versatile!  Other than some "beachy" things for my upcoming trip, I am trying to find dresses that can work for all occasion.  Work, going out, and even travel.  I think this Walter Cameron dress from Gilt is an example that can work with all 3.

Maybe the bottom is a little bit casual for work, but I think with a suit jacket over it, it could work.  I'll have to see.  The top is good, it's not too low cut and it kind of has sleeves.  I did wear it out the other night for a friend's birthday and it was perfect for that kind of occasion.

This is what it looked like on me:

I really like the fact that it has pockets!  Not bad sized ones, though I wouldn't trust my phone or wallet in there while I'm moving around a lot.  At first I thought the pockets may be really unflattering since they are placed at the widest part of the hips.  But I don't think it's that bad.  I also love the cross over style of the cream top portion, and elasticized waistband.  It's pullover style so you don't have to worry about any zippers or whatnot.  I like the simple design and the contrasting colors!  Very fun for sure, and a good staple for the closet.  I can see this style being my "go to" when I can't decide what to wear.

    1. Thanks! They are actually some old wedge sandals I got from Aldo years ago. I still wear them quite a bit though. They go with a lot of stuff. =)

  2. This dress looks way better on you than it does on the model. When I first saw the pictures I was thinking "no way", but then when I saw the real life pictures of it on you, I like it :)

    1. Haha thanks Becky! You don't like it on the model? I actually think she looks good in it. She's very slim.
