Cute Bras & Panties from Victoria's Secret!

I ordered some cute bras and panties from Victoria's Secret during their semi-annual sale last week when they had free shipping over $25.  I received them yesterday and am actually going to keep everything!  I got two bras for very very cheap that I'm happy about.

This Front-Close Multi Way bra is only $19.  I got it in the nude color.  I figure I could always use something like this, and was happy with the price.  The back band is kind of wide though, which I did not know since they don't have a picture of the back.  It's about 2 inches wide.  I've never had any bra with such a side back band, but I think I'll give it a try.

So as the name implies, this bra is removable straps and you can arrange them every which way.

I also got this Cotton Lingerie Push-Up bra.  This was $35.  Not too bad either.  In person though, it looks less pink and more of a highlighter coral type of color.  Not what I expected, but I'm ok with it.

They have matching panties in this print (called happy pink dots) in different styles, I got it in V-String style.  I always like this style since it is pretty comfortable and doesn't dig in on the sides.  Most of my underwear is like this.

I actually got it in fresh green dot too in the same style.

Another pair of panties I really like are these Lace Back V-String panty.  They are super comfortable and the back is so cute in complete lace.  I really like this color I got - Floral Animal.  It's very different and I love the contrasting colors.

I got the same style in nude color as well.  Might have to get this style in more colors, I love it!

And the last style of panties I got are the cheekies.  I got them mostly to wear while sleeping.  I think this style is very cute, it shows a little bit of butt cheek!  I got it in 2 different color combos as well, first is the lace-waist cheekie panty in pink butterly:

I love this print, it's so girly.  It also looks very victoria's secret, with the pink stripes and all.  I love the lace waist.  I wish I got another pair in the same style, but the other cheekies I got are lace back cheekies, but the waistband is not lace.  It's also very cute though, the back is made of lace entirely.  Very sexy!  I got them in gray daisy print.

And that's all!  I'm so happy for new cute underwear lol.  I have so much of this stuff that I don't buy them often anymore.  But the new stuff is so cute!  I browse through the VS website and feel like getting everything!  I like VS intimates so much better than their clothing... Gotta practice self-control!

Sunday Funday!

I've had a busy week!  Still dealing with my mysterious hand injury, so I took it easy with workouts earlier this week.  I hate not working out!  It makes me feel sluggish and gross.  But alas... it is what it is.  I may have to cave and go to the doc for this finally.  We'll see how it goes this week.

So I managed to go to the gym 3 times this week, but every time I went, I worked my butt off!  Kind of makes up for not going more often, I guess.  I did also eat a lot of yummy food this week too though... lol.

Tuesday 1/22
What I did:  Weights - workout A of stage 2 of New Rules of Lifting for Abs.  I should probably move onto stage 3 soon.

What I wore:  Lululemon Practice Freely tank in lavender, with black Ebb & Flow crops and Brooks Pure Drift shoes.

Wednesday 1/23 - Friday 1/25:  No workouts.  Sad face.  But I do have one work outfit to share from Friday, which actually turned out to be hoochier than I realized.... lol... I wore my sweater dress from Express ruched sweater dress in aquarium, with my new ankle boots!  I realize that my work bathroom is a really bad place for photos.

Saturday 1/26
What I did:  Weights again, workout B of stage 2.  But I ran for like 30 minutes before that, to make up for the lack of working out all week.  I did some sprinting as well.

What I wore:  Lululemon No Limit tank in flash, with coal Team Spirit crops and Brooks Pure Drift shoes again.

As to and from, I wore my Lift Your Spirits jacket.

Sunday 1/27
What I did:  Weights again!  Back to stage 2 workout A.  I also did a bunch of sprints before the workout as well.  Then I used more weights than usual so I was dying the whole time and drenched like a sea monster!

What I wore:  Lululemon Swiftly tank in pow pink, with pow pink Free To Be bra under, and CW-X Pro tights.  Oh and Brooks Pure Drift shoes again - apparently I love these shoes!

As to and from the gym, I wore my pow pink Define jacket.  I was all pow pinked out!  Hehe.

On a side note, I've been experimenting with my weekend breakfasts, and this one has been a winner!  It's not really the healthiest, but it sure is yummy.  Lol.  I basically put cream cheese, eggs, prosciutto, tomato slices, brie cheese, and lemon pepper sprinkled all over onto half of a bagel, and bake it for like 15 minutes in the oven.  It is so good!  If you eat just half of a bagel, it really isn't that bad for you... lol... it's got lots of protein!  Lemon pepper is a magical spice, I swear...

Aldo Leanora Peep-Toe Pumps

I got these Aldo Leanora Peep-Toe Pumps right before I went to China, and have only recently been able to wear them around.  For how high they are, they are actually surprisingly comfortable!  I really like the way they look as well.  I actually bought them thinking that they were patent leather, but have since read online that they are synthetic.  I usually hate synthetic shoes (they make your feet stink) and I almost returned these because of it.  But since they were so comfortable and I got them for a good price (the store had a wrong sales tag on it so I got it for $50), I decided to keep them.

So I got these in size 6.  The store actually only had size 6.5 and it was a little too loose for me, so they had these delivered to my house for free.  At first they were pretty tight and pinched my toes on the first day I wore them.  But the second time was significantly better.  The hidden platform really make these feel flatter than they are, so I could wear them all day.  I love the peep toe look as well, and I love that I can wear them to work as well as with jeans.  So I'm pretty happy with them, especially for the price I paid!

Swarovski Tanzanite Nina Earrings Purple Crystal

For my wedding I bought these awesome Swarovski earrings in vintage rose, I love them so much that I wear them all the time.  I bought them in the store at the time for $75 + tax, and I remember seeing and liking the purple color as well.  But since my whole wedding color was pink, I had to go with the pink earrings.  Recently though, before I left for China, I actually saw the same earrings in purple on Gilt for only $39.  So of course I bought them too!

I think these earrings are so gorgeous.  I really do wear them with everything.  I can dress them up or wear them with a more casual outfit and they work both ways.  They are just so pretty and delicate!  You really can't go wrong with Swarovski.

I'm so glad that I now own them in both colors.  If they would come in more colors, I would buy every single one.  Lol.

Sunday Funday!

First Sunday Funday since I've been back, and I must say that I don't have that many outfits to share!  I only went to workout twice this week.  I would have loved to go more often, but 1. I was really jetlagged and started falling asleep everyday by about 1 pm, and 2. I hurt my left hand before I went on vacation, and it never really healed.  It's like this inner muscle pain that feels like a strain, and it hurts a lot whenever my hand/wrist is in a certain position.  I lifted weights yesterday thinking it would be ok, and then it started hurting visibly more.  So I don't want that I will aggravate it anymore... so annoying! Maybe I will have to just do cardio only for a while.  Super sad face!

So I will start with some work outfits, because I got to wear my new boots to work!

Tuesday 1/15 - First day back to work from vacation!  I wore my Tahari ASL teal belted dress, with Calvin Klein essential cardigan over, and my new black boots.

Wednesday 1/16 - I wore this plum colored Calvin Klein silky blouse, with Express pieced pencil skirt, and my new tan boots.

Thursday 1/17
What I did:  Hot yoga, I thought I'd ease back into working out this way after 2 weeks off!

Oh yeah, this is a different look I'm trying out on Thursday night.  I have some skinny jeans / jeggings, but I only wear them with boots over.  However, I decided to try wearing them with some pumps.  I know that many girls have been sporting the skinny jean look for a while now, but I never really thought it looked good on me.  Now I'm thinking it's not so bad, maybe because I'm used to seeing this look now.  So I wore my awesome dark olive colored Stella jeggings from Express, and I wore another Express top, the ruffle front blouse on top, with my S.Y.L.K. jacket over.

So I'm trying this look out for a while, we'll see if it sticks!

Friday 1/18 - I literally went to sleep after work from like 4 pm - 8 pm then went out to dinner.  So no workout.

Saturday 1/19
What I did:  I finally went to do weights, and I went back to doing the New Rules of Lifting for Abs, Stage 2 workout A.  Too bad I hurt my hand/wrist more.  =(

Sunday 1/20 - So I wanted to lift weights again today, or at least play some golf.  But due to aforementioned hand issues, I decided to take it easy.  I probably should have gone running or something, but I was out running around all day and didn't feel like it.  I am actually still recovering from jetlag... so lame.  I guess I didn't try that hard to get rid of it.  I went to sleep at like 5 - 9 pm last night, woke up for a few hours and then went back to sleep.  Lol.  My body is totally still messed up.  Oh well!  At least it's MLK's day tomorrow so we get the day off work and have another day to recover!  But I have got to get more workouts in next week.  I still feel bloated from eating so much in China, and I need to lose that shiat!  Also, it doesn't help that DineLA starts tomorrow as well and I've got many restaurant reservations.  For those of you who are not familiar with DineLA, it's a very popular thing that many LA area restaurants participate in - for the next 2 weeks they offer special menus and pricing for patrons.  Usually like $35 for a 3 course meal.  It's a good way to try out new restaurants.  But I need to either stop pigging out, or start working out!  Hahaha!

New Boots!

So I didn't really do much shopping in China, because everything was so expensive!  Well, I mean like brand named stuff cost about 3x more than they do in the US.  Of course there are cheap things too, but it's hard to find cheap things that are ok in quality.  I went to this whole sale outlet type of place, and it was pretty much the only place I bought stuff, and I was able to buy 3 pairs of boots!  They weren't that cheap though, but I am actually very very happy with them.

I am pretty much in love with these black boots made of lamb skin.  They are the softest leather you'd ever feel, seriously divine!  I love the style too.  I've been looking for sooooo long for boots just like these, and these hit every single point I wanted - the shaft height, the leather, the heel height, and the fact that they are slouchier around the ankles were all the things I wanted!  So I spent about 1200 yuan on them, which is like close to $200.

At the same store, I also got these tan colored boots.  These are cow skin, so they are not as soft.  But I guess that's also a good thing for boots since they stay up very well.  The style is pretty similar to the black boots.  I love them too.  I got them for 700 yuan, which is a little over $100.

And lastly, I got these booties with fur around the ankles and these decoration things.  I thought they were kind of fun, and got them for only 190 yuan, which is like 30 bucks.  I don't have short boots like these, so I have to figure out how to wear them.  I'm thinking they will work with skinny jeans, or skirts with tights.  Can't beat the price!  They are actually very comfortable too.

So I'd say my shopping trip that day was a huge success!  I can't even believe I found multiple pairs of shoes that I'm that happy with on the same day.  That rarely happens.  Prices I paid were not a steal, but I also went to department stores in China where boots not nearly as cute cost at least twice as much.  So I'm hoping that these boots will last me a long time!

Back from China!

I'm baaaaccck!  I actually got back on Monday night, after almost missing my flight!  Fog/smog has been very heavy in Beijing and a lot of flights or canceled/delayed so I had the toughest time flying back into Beijing, where my international flight to LA was leaving from.  So I ended up at the check in counter an hour before boarding, and made it back home!  It feels nice to be home, but it's been pretty cold in LA as well, however the temperature is going up to the 80s this weekend... hooray!  I love SoCal weather.  I bundled up in China, wearing many layers and I felt ok for the most part.  Except windy Beijing got me sick within 3 days of being there!  Wind chill is horrible there.  And by the way, the Sorel Shila suede boots and the Laundry by Shelli Segal down jacket I bought were such life savers!  I'm really amazed by the boots... they kept my toes toasty warm every time I wore them!  And the jacket with the hood on was perfect, and the style seemed to fit in with what everyone there wore too.

I meant to write from China, but I had really really slow wifi connection everywhere I was able to get on!  I could barely check my emails.  And China blocks facebook, so I felt a little cut off from the rest of the world.  It took some getting used to.  On the contrary, I ate a bunch of good food so everything has its ups and downs... hahaha!

I spent New Years Eve in Beijing, and actually hung out with an old friend from the States who moved there to learn Chinese.  We went to a house party at this very posh apartment of a Danish guy who works and lives there.  In Shanghai, I also hung out with a friend from LA who is currently going to MBA school there, along with his buddy visiting him from LA and his funny Russian/Dutch girlfriend.  She was so out there, and would say stuff like: "we would like to have our bill, but first we would like to have ___ on the house" at restaurants.  She says "if you don't try, it's always no".  It's so completely the opposite of how I am, I was very entertained by that.  So anyway, I hung out with a bunch of Americans and Europeans in China... haha... I had a great time though, and met some very interesting people!

Here's a photo I took on the Great Wall.  Since it was cold, not many people were there at all, and I ended up taking this picture of a completely empty wall!  It's pretty rare indeed.

Oh yeah, I saw the funniest thing in Shanghai... there is this park in the middle of the city called People Square.  Apparently, on certain days, there is a huge meat market composed of parents with ads displaying their kids stats, and what kind of partner they are looking for!  The ads would typically say whether the kid is male or female, their age, their height, what they do for work and their contact info on top, and on the bottom it would have a list of requirements of what they are looking for in a partner, such as age, height, where from, and minimum income requirement (mostly women looking for men).  This place was so funny!  It's just completely filled with parents with these ads, and other people walking around looking at them, but never the merchandise themselves.  And no photos either.  They also don't like it when you take pictures so this was the best I could sneak in, though the scale there was much larger than this photo represents:

I guess if you are a retired parent worried about your child, you might as well go there and see what happens!  Lol!

Ok anyways, so I know I haven't posted in a while, and I actually took photos of these outfits from before I left.  I don't even remember what days or the specific workouts I did in each outfit, but I thought I'd post them now anyways so they don't go to waste!

Here is, I believe, my workout outfit from Christmas Eve.  I actually went to workout on Christmas Eve before dinner!  I was proud of myself for that... hahaha.  I ran and lifted weights...

As to and from, I wore my Lift Your Spirits jacket.

Here's a work outfit where I wore my Calvin Klein color blocked pencil skirt, a black tank top under the essential cardigan.  I actually really love this cardigan and am glad I got it in 2 colors for such a good price!

And I believe I went to hot yoga in this outfit later on in the week:  Hot Class tank in coal/purple crush with Ebb & Flow crops in deep indigo.

So I didn't workout much the week before I left.  And I did not workout at all during my vacation.  Of course I also ate a whole lot!  So I feel rather bloaty and gross right now.  But I'm getting back into it today! I seriously can't wait to get back into my workout regimen.  It really does feel great to workout and I've missed it!
