Sunday Funday!

I had a much better week this week than last diet wise.  I got my sh*t together and ate what I was supposed to.  =P  Easier said than done apparently!  But it's so much better this way, because I feel debloated immediately and also mentally I feel like all my hard work at the gym is not wasted.  Right now, it is supposed to be my "PMS" time frame wise, but I feel no difference and my weight has been super stable, if not decreasing by a little bit a day this week.  I love this!  Not gaining weight during that time of the month is the best.  I have no cravings either.  I didn't even have my once a week cheat meal this weekend, because I didn't feel like it!  What!!  This is like unheard of, especially during this time of the month.

I think I also feel better because I took 2 days off from working out this week.  Funny, my goal used to be to go to the gym 4-5 times a week.  In reality, I was happy if I went 4 times.  But now 5 times feels like the bare minimum.  But I think it's very good for me, physically and mentally, to take breaks and rest.  Last week I worked out every single day and I think I was just exhausted and needed a little break.

Monday 6/17 - Rest

Tuesday 6/18
What I did:  It was my cardio day, so I just did my 30 minutes of walking on high incline.

What I wore:  Lululemon Hot Class tank in chirp with Inspire crop in inkwell/mellow lemon/burning yellow, and Nike Frees.

Wednesday 6/19
What I did:  Weights, lower body.

I like that this tank is so open and you can completely see the bra!  It also keeps you very cool.

As to and from, I wore my new Lorna Jane Sophia top in shocking pink.

For my work outfit of the day, I was happy to find that my Express Portofino shirt in bitter grape matches my Vince Camuto Dacoma shoes' heel color very well lol.  So I wore both, with the Express Tweed Studio Stretch Corset Pencil Skirt.

Thursday 6/20
What I did:  Upper body weight workout, followed my 30 minutes of the gauntlet.

What I wore:  I finally got to wear my Sweaty Betty Adrenaline Ombre capri!  They have been just sitting there waiting for me to get some appropriate underwear lol.  The free ones they sent me are black so they wouldn't work.  But my Victoria's Secret VSX Sport No Show Hiphugger Sport Panty is perfect!  They worked very well together, you couldn't see anything at all and I had total confidence while bending down!  These crops were actually better than I thought.  They stayed in place well and were breathable.  I didn't have to fuss with them at all and I liked them quite a bit.  I wore just a white Lululemon cool racerback and white New Balance Minimus Road shoes with these so that they'd be the standout item!

I also wore white LS swiftly top as to and from.

So on the same day for work, I wore my new Express Bateau Neck Ruched Sleeve sweater with Express Wide Waistband Editor pants in gray.  I know I show a lot of work outfits in skirts or dresses, but I wear pants quite often.  And the whole pant + sweater look is very comfy for work.  It's definitely on the more casual side, but totally fine for business casual dress code.  These gray wide waistband editor pants were one of my first pairs from like 2009.  Back then they just came out and they made them so big so I had to buy size 00.  I wear them regularly and it's been 5 years!  Can you believe it... they are still my favorite pair.  For some reason the fit is just better than all the other colors I've bought since then.  They're still in good shape!  But I'm afraid they will have to go at some point and I won't be able to replace them!

Friday 6/21 - Rest day, but here's my work outfit - I wanted to wear a t-shirt because it was Friday and I was lazy!  So I wore this black t-shirt I got from Nordstrom's BP department for like $20 a couple years ago.  But put on Express Essential Stretch Racerback vest over it to dress it up a little.  And black Express wide waistband editor pants (I believe these were my very first pair of these!)

Saturday 6/22
What I did:  Lower body weights again - I worked hard and my legs are so sore today!  When I was doing my squats, I made sure to go all the way down where my legs were parallel to the ground for every single one (4 sets of 10).  It's amazing how they still get sore.

What I wore:  Lululemon Swiftly Racerback in very green - this has to be one of my favorite colors, so so happy I got it!  Paired with Victoria's Secret VSX Sport Supermodel Cami sports bra in sweetest orange and new Lululemon Mod Moves crop in black/groovy stripe nimbus.  I loooooove this combo!  Green + orange + nimbus = Win!  Too bad I don't have green or orange shoes!  I had to settle for the Brooks Pure Drift shoes even though it's got pink in it.  =(

As to and from, I wore the Lululemon Beach Runner jacket in dune/fresh teal.  But it has stitching in very green so it matches the tank perfectly!  I really love the fit of this jacket.  And the brushed luxtreme in it is soooo comfortable!

After working out, I went to have brunch.  I love working out on weekend mornings and then going to brunch afterwards.  I kept the green theme going by wearing my green Gucci wedges with the Frenzii dress I got for $29, and the best part is that I wore my Lululemon Free To Be bra under it in laceoflage polar cream!  This print does not scream athletic wear at all, and since my dress dips so low in the front, I could never wear it with a regular bra without a tank over.  So wearing a Lulu bra is the perfect solution!  The back of the dress covers the bra straps completely, so from the front it just looks like I have a floral tank under!

Sunday 6/23
What I did:  I had a very hard workout today - upper body weights followed by 30 minutes of cardio.  So tired!

It is 10:15 pm right now and I am starving!  I am constantly hungry nowadays even though I'm eating more than ever.  I think my metabolism is really picking up!  So happy, because I think I definitely damaged my metabolism from chronic under eating in the past.  I remember I used to blow up immediately if I started eating more than like 1400 calories or so a day.  But now I am slowly increasing it every week to make my body adjust to eating more again, so I am still leaning out and hungry while eating 1800 a day.  I hope my coach increases it so I can eat even more!  This is definitely the way to go.  =)

  1. You look awesome girl! Good job!
Do you find your LS swiftly in aquamarine/beach blanket blue fits the same as your other ones? I want to order it, I only have one which is size 6 and I found it was loose in the belly which I don't like. Want to order the blue in size 4 but scared it will be tight in the arms.

    1. Hi there! I do think that swiftly fits the same as others I have in the same size. Years ago when I first started buying these, I tried it in size 4 and 6. I found them to fit pretty much exactly the same except that the 6 was looser in the stomach which I did not like. But that was like 5 years ago lol. Things could have totally changed since then! I haven't touched a size 6 since then though...

  2. The sweaty betty crops are very cute. I have been checking out their website but haven't ordered anything yet.

    1. The material of those crops is pretty thin and polyestery feeling. I wasn't too impressed when I first received them, so I was rather surprised that I liked them during the workout. If they weren't so cute and unique looking, I would have sent them back. If you decide to get anything from them, I think their sizing is pretty generous. I got size XS in these crops and they definitely fit more like a large small in other brands.

  3. Hi, may I know what size are you in the Lorna Jane Macy Excel tank? I have not gotten any LJ stuff before. I wear a size 8 in lulu top (tanks with and without shelf bras) and crops. Would like to check with you for reference.

    1. Hi there, I got the tank in size small. All my tanks from LJ are size small so this one fits like others. I think it sounds like medium will work for you!

    2. Unfortunately Medium is out of stock. Sigh...I was considering getting the Large. But I'm afriad it might not turn out well if the gap at the back is too big and weighing me down with extra material.

Thanks for posting what you have tried! Your choices are very cute!
