Sunday Funday!

I've been doing my training program for about 2 months now, and have been leaning out (lost at least an inch all around) while losing about 6-7 lbs total with more and more calories and a lot less cardio than I used to do.  I'm really enjoying it.  It's great that I can eat more food without getting bigger, whether from actually gaining fat or bloating.  But just when I'm getting comfortable, my trainer is cutting back my calories lol.  He says since I've been maintaining well on the higher calorie plan, if we cut it back a little now, I should really start to lean out.  So starting tomorrow, I'll be eating about 1550 calories a day.  That's about 350-400 calories less than what I'm eating now.  I'm sad.  But I trust he knows what he's talking about and I'm hoping that I'll see bigger changes than I have been seeing!  I just hope I don't get too hungry!

Funny though, because I used to eat way less than 1550 a day when I thought the only way to lose weight was to eat less!  At my lowest, I was eating around 1000 a day and working out like a crazy person.  My regular Saturday routine was getting to the gym at 7 am, and workout until 1 pm!!!  What was I thinking?  With so much work and so little food, my body was no doubt eating its own protein.  I weighed less than I do now, but I really had no muscle tone.  So I think it's kind of funny that I'm worried about starving on 1550 calories now.

Anyway, I worked out hard this week.  Kept pushing my weights up higher during my weight training.    I also took a pilates reformer class, and played tennis for a long time yesterday!  Actually rented out a ball machine and that thing was a lot of fun!  I think I'm going to do it a lot more often from now on, and hopefully will see some improvements to my tennis game soon too!  It gives me an excuse to wear/buy more running skirts, hehe.

Monday 7/8
What I did:  Weights, lower body.

What I wore:  This is something I don't sport very often - all black!  Well, mostly.  I wore the Lorna Jane Tempo Excel tank for the first time, with Lululemon Energy Bra in currant under.  CW-X Pro tights, and Adidas adizero adios 2 shoes.

And for work the same day, I wore my new Splendid adjustable sleeve shirt for the first time!  It's so comfortable and I love it.  Best part is, I saw it at Bloomingdale's last weekend for a lot more than what I paid on ebay lol.  I wore this old pencil skirt from Express that I bought like 6 years ago or something.  And Aldo Leanora pumps.

Tuesday 7/9
What I did:  Weights, upper body - shoulders and tri.  Followed by 30 minute walk on the treadmill at 15% incline.

What I wore:  Lululemon swiftly tank in pow pink, with new Lorna Jane Quietly Confident bra under it.  And Lululemon Mod Moves crop and matching Brooks Pure Drift shoes.

I like how this bra looked from the front, since it has pink it in that matches the pow pink tank.

But the back looks kind of strange, since you can only see the 2 white straps.  Oh well.

Wednesday 7/10
What I did:  Weights upper, back and bi.  Then 45 min spin class.

What I wore:  Lululemon Ta Ta Topper in black/groovy stripe nimbus, with Lululemon Team Spirt crop in coal and Nike Frees.  I wore the Victoria's Secret VSX Supermodel Cami bra under in sweetest orange, so you can see a little bit of orange from the front.  I love this bra!  It works so well with everything.  I've worn it to run, pilates, weights, and spin now!  It's perfect for everything and super comfortable.

I like how the bra looks in the back since the tank has the two silver stripes going down in a similar way.

Thursday 7/11
What I did:  Pilates class.

What I wore:  New Lole Spiral tank in white, with Yogasmoga Jump n' Play crop.  I liked these crops for pilates, they stayed in place the whole time and were opaque.  I want to try them out during a higher impact workout to see how they perform though.

I wore the white Lululemon Free To Be bra under the Lole tank, it worked perfectly!

I love how the bra and tank combo looks in the back, it looks like it could be a part of the tank design!

And I wore my Alo Sport cutoff shoulder top as to and from:

Friday 7/12
What I did:  Lower body weights.

What I wore:  Lorna Jane Analisa tank and Lululemon Ebb & Flow crop in deep indigo.  Nike Free shoes.

Saturday 7/13
What I did:  Upper body supersets, followed by 30 minutes of gauntlet.

What I wore:  Lululemon Power Y tank in discover stripe with Run: Passion crop in power purple.

New Splits59 Dallas Hoodie in twilight/nude as to and from.  I love this color!  And I couldn't help but to wear the matchy matchy Skora Phase shoes, even though I don't really like them.  They still dig into the back of my heels after all this time.  But for weights and a short gauntlet session, they were ok.

Then in the afternoon, I went to play tennis and wore my Lululemon cool racerback in groovy stripe nimbus, with Lija Compression Revise skort.  I love this skort so much... the inner shorts are so comfortable, the legs did not ride up at all.  All my Lululemon running skirts with built in inner shorts always ride up on me as I move.  It's so nice to not have to worry about that.

I don't think I've ever hit so many balls in one session before!  This ball machine is so awesome.  My right arm/hand is pretty sore from it though!

Today is the only rest day of the week.  Tomorrow I start again!  I hope you all are having a great weekend!

  1. What is your trainer thinking?? You already look thin/lean, you'll waste away to nothing if you lose any more weight! When size 'xs' starts looking baggy, it's time to stop the calorie cut back. You look great now but if you lose any more weight, I think you'll lose your sexy. Please be careful...

    1. I totally understand what you mean. I'm not trying to look fragile or anything, just trying to muscle up! Hehe. And I really think the XS runs like a S in other brands. :)

  3. Good luck on your new diet this week! I wanted to say that I just recently got my pair of Yogasmoga crops in and I'm really loving them! I got the India Blue, I've worn them for a run, yoga and to crossfit and was impressed with their "staying up" power. I appreciated your review of them earlier this month. :) I also picked myself up a pair of the hidden wedge sneakers a couple months ago as I was inspired by your pics, surprisingly versatile. Anyway, love your blog, cheers!

    1. Out of everything in my wardrobe, I would say those wedge sneakers get the most comments from people. Every time I wear them, somebody asks me what they are. I don't even know how many times I spelled the brand "ZIGI". Hahaha... I agree about their versatility... surprised that I like them as much as I do!

  4. Glad you liked the yoga smogas for pilates. I like them for yoga and for running. They can be a little heavy when its hot and humid which it is in Chicago right now so I am using them for non-cardio things right now. Its so bad here even my Lulu Swiftly items are soaked after a workout.

    1. For some reason when you mentioned it being humid last week, I thought you lived in SoCal too lol. It was very humid here (for us), but nowhere near what you are going through I'm sure! Gosh I hate humidity... it's like as soon as you go outside, you feel wet already. I've been to many tropical places, and cannot stand the humidity each time.

    2. Ugh, the humidity has been over 80% at times. Last week I ran early in the morning when it was cooler but it was still terrible. My swiftly head band was so bad I literally wrung it out before putting aside to wash.

I have a friend that moved from northern California last fall. She was worried about the winters but is kind in shock about the heat (its been in the 80s and 90s the last few days) and humidity.
