Sunday Funday!

It's this time of the week again!  I swear time is going by faster and faster every week.  Someone told me that that is a sign of getting older - maybe it is so!  I had a pretty action packed weekend.  I actually went and got a new car yesterday!  I got the 2013 Jetta, in a charcoal gray color.  Too bad I don't have a picture of the actual car, but it is this one here on the right:

I actually really like the new Jetta body style.  And I really like the price.  I am leasing it, because I always like to lease cars so I can change my mind and switch every few years.  VW has some pretty good leasing deals right now, but I haggled down the price a lot so I think I got a good deal.  I really enjoy the idea of having an inexpensive car right now.  The last car I leased, which was a fun Mercedes  roadster - convertible hardtop (SLK class), costed me at least $1000 a month with payments, taxes, insurance and gas.  Not to mention the mandatory maintenance that would cost $500 a pop for an oil change or something ridiculous like that.  I could not wait to return it.  This one is like 1/4 of the price and VW provides free maintenance!  Saving money is good (I think I am getting older).  :D  So happy with it right now.  It also has a gigantic trunk space that I can permanently leave my golf clubs in.

Anyway, so aside from that, this week has also been a pretty good workout week for me.  I actually went and did stuff 6 days of the week!  I love that.  I think it's good to be active almost daily, even if it's just something low impact.

Monday 9/3
What I did:  I went to hit some golf balls and then played a round of 9-hole game with a friend.  It was way fun.

What I wore:  Lululemon cool racerback in raspberry, with pow pink Free To Be bra under.  And my Astro crops in black/bon bon, and New Balance Minimus Road shoes - these shoes are pretty good for golf.

Tuesday 9/4
What I did:  Went to my usual Tuesday evening tennis lesson.

Wednesday 9/5
What I did:  I went weight lifting and worked on my chest.  Followed by 5 one-minute sprints at the end.

Thursday 9/6
What I did:  Weight lifting again, focusing on shoulders and followed by 6 one-minute sprints at the end.

What I wore:  Lululemon swiftly tank in pink mist, with flash Centered Energy bra under - I've washed this bra many times and it still managed to bleed!!!  Ughhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!  Hopefully it will come out of the tank.  I also wore my Ebb & Flow crops in black.

Friday 9/7 - Rest day

Saturday 9/8
What I did:  Interval training class with lots of running and weight stations in between.

What I wore:  Lululemon cool racerback in electric orange, with bright blue Flow Y bra under.  And Run Fast shorts.  And my Nike Frees which I tend to not wear much nowadays.  Too unstable.

Sunday 9/9
What I did:  I got up super early today to go workout.  Took another interval training class.  This time  was kind of interesting since we did 5 minute runs, with push-ups and crunches in between.  Repeat a bunch of times.  After that, I went to my golf lesson and played for like 2 hours.  So fun!!!

What I wore:  Lululemon pearl luxtreme cool racerback in pigeon, with white Flow Y bra under and my new pig pink Jog Skirt.  I like light gray and pink together, especially since the waistband of the skirt is also gray!

Alright that is it!  My lap top is acting up so I better wrap this up before it decides to delete everything I just wrote.  I hope to have another good workout week this coming week!  I'm so happy with my extra-curricular activities lately of tennis and golf.  It's great to incorporate something fun into the mundane workout routine!

  1. Hi !! You've got a reader in Singapore =)
Random question, have you noticed any change in your body before and after you've started weights ? I'm trying to lose some weight !! But I'm so scared it'll make me bulky instead !!

    1. Hi there! I've definitely seen major changes in my body since starting weights! I think I am leaner and more toned looking, not bulkier at all! It's actually very hard to bulk, especially for women so no worries there. I can also feel that the added muscles have increased my metabolism. I can now eat a lot more junk and not have it affect my weight lol. I try to eat healthy still of course. But anyway, weight training is great! I highly recommend. :)

    1. I assume you meant this as an insult, but it seems like a compliment.

I really enjoy reading this blog. It's a nice break, positive and encourages me to work out - all three of which are not wasted time. Although I do waste a bit more money (ie the two new pairs of wunder under crops and no limit tanks bought the last couple months).

My Thanks to my superficial endeavors -

    2. Thank you :)

Taking the time to write this comment probably wastes more time than just thinking that it is such a waste of time to begin with? Just sayin

    3. Love the internet tough guy/gal. Hides behind Anonymous and criticizes a blog. A blog that you don't have to read, don't have to even open, but for some reason you feel so bad about your own existence that you have to make comments like this. Good luck in life if this is how your act.
