Muubaa Fornas Ombre Leather Biker Jacket - Christmas in Feb!

I finally managed to find myself a Christmas present from my bf!  I've decided a while ago that I should just pick out my own presents so that I get what I want, and he doesn't have to go through the dreaded experience of going shopping.  So far, it's worked out really well!  I think he'd much rather increase his price range to avoid the trouble anyway, and that works out for me too!  But apparently I'm a slacker too I didn't get anything until now.  Well, actually I did try to get a pair of boots from Nordstrom back in December but they canceled my order without telling me.  So this is my second try!  The package got lost for a couple days too!  I thought it wasn't meant to be, with my move and all going on at the same time.  But I got it now and it is a keeper!

I got the Muubaa Fornas Ombre leather biker jacket from Gilt.  I actually wanted to get this jacket a while ago, but I forgot about it until I saw it on Gilt.  So I decided to make it my present, since the price is pretty low now for a leather jacket ($280).  I think the dip dyed look on a leather jacket is so unique looking!  I don't think I've seen anyone with a jacket like this in person.  It's definitely different, but so far I've found that it's actually rather easy to wear.

I had to guess on what size to order, since I had never tried on Muubaa before.  It is a British brand, so the sizing is UK based.  I got it in UK size 6, which is equivalent to US size 2.  I was really crossing my fingers that it would fit, and I was happy to find that it does!

By the way, I moved to my new place!  So, different background now, though still a door lol.  I'm still trying to figure out where to put my mirror though.  The spot I have it now has a recess light on the ceiling above and it doesn't really work so well for pictures.  So it turns out that the bottom is way brighter than the top on every picture.  Oh well, I'll have to see what adjustments to make later.

The treatment on this jacket makes the leather appear worn.  I actually like this look better than the shiny/new look.

When the jacket is zipped, the chest area is slightly tight and pulls a little.  But I think it's ok because 1. I almost never zip my jackets (I do live in LA after all), and 2. I think leather will stretch so after a while it will probably fit better anyway.

Anyway, pretty happy with the jacket!  I was browsing the Muubaa website as well as the brand on Asos, and I'm liking a lot of the jackets!  Although most of the jackets are very similar in style to this jacket.  But I'm a fan of the biker style, so no surprise there.  Maybe I'll get another one later!

Lululemon Inspire Crop & Free To Be Wild Bra in Cyber Stripe

I bought the Lululemon Inspire Crop in cyber stripe last week.  I wasn't (and still am not) too sure about the solid black mesh area on the back of them.  But my new place is literally right behind a Lululemon store so I'll be able to return stuff very easily, which means I'll be buying more stuff to try lol.

I think I kind of like them though, despite the big black mesh.  But the stripes on pair I got don't line up well between the two legs.  It's not like symmetry is super important to me, so I may be able to get over it.  I don't know.  I feel like it might be something that once you notice it, it will be all you see.

The material on these feel different.  They are definitely stretchier and not as silky as the full-on luxtreme Inspire crops I've been getting lately.  They are also thinner, but still have pretty decent compression.  You can almost feel the texture of the stripes on the material, that's the best I can describe it.  I don't mind this at all.

As usual, I got them in size 4.  I think this picture is pretty evident that the stripes really don't line up well:

The back is slightly better:

These stripes are pretty though:

Soooo... I think I'll keep the tags on these for another week and see what else comes out.

I'm not really a huge fan of the Free To Be Wild bras, because there's just 4 too many stripes on the back for me lol.  The regular Free To Be bra is just perfect IMO.  Too many straps can look too busy.  But, I was just thinking that I wanted a light gray colored bra, with mint colored straps... and then this one came out in cyber stripe white silver fox/sea mist!  I guess it was a sign so I had to buy it.  It is pretty!

I sized up to 6 in this bra, as I usually do with the Free To Be bras.  This bra fits about the same as the Free To Be bras too.  I just don't like having to adjust the straps to make sure they line up ok on the back.  They get twisted so easily.  I like the color combo a lot, but I really wish it was a Free To Be!  Well, I'm gonna keep the tag on for a while and see if the same color combo comes out in Free To Be.  Probably not.  So I'll most likely keep this one.

By the way, I haven't bought bras from Lululemon in quite a while.  Apparently this is how they ship bras now?  With the cups outside?  Lol.  At least they are including cups, so that's a plus.  I can't remember the last time I bought a bra/tank online that actually came with cups.

I think this is the last post where I'll be posting from my current place/picture background.  I haven't figured out where to put my mirror in the new place yet, but it will definitely look different!  =P

Sunday Funday!

Gosh this has been such a busy week for me!  My days are all jumbled, I thought today was Saturday for a good half of the day lol.  I have been moving things over to my new place every evening after work this week.  I did take a couple days off to go out of town to my mom's up north as well.  Just got back last night and packed all day today!  Moving is so painful!  All the little things seriously add up.  I'm trying to get everything ready before the movers come to move the big things in a few days.  After all these boxes being packed up, and bags of clothes given away at Goodwill, I feel like I've made no progress whatsoever.  Sigh... at least I have a few more days to make it happen!

By the way, like I mentioned last week, please let me know if you are interested in purchasing any of the items on my sales page!  I'm going to be ebaying and/or donating many items next week if I don't sell them, so a lot of it will probably be gone in a week or so.

In other exciting news, even though I only went to work 2 days, I managed to see Ryan Gosling and Steve Carrell there!!!!  RYAN GOSLING!!!  I don't love that many celebrities but he's just so cool.  "Hey girl..."  Lol!  Omg, when I told one of my coworkers that it was Ryan Gosling, he said "who's that?"

.............

They were there to do film research for their upcoming movie "Big Short", which also has Brad Pitt and Christian Bale casted.  The latter two didn't show up though.  It's a movie about some financiers, so I guess they thought my work place was appropriate to visit as research material.  They were there for a good 2 hours, walking around the trading floor!  It took me over an hour to realize who they were though.  I actually looked over a couple times and thought "who are those bums", because they were all wearing jeans and Ryan Gosling was wearing a baseball cap (our visitors always come in business suits).  I totally made eye contact with Steve Carrell when they walked by my desk though lol.  Now I'm seeing him at the Oscars on TV!  I wish I could have taken a picture with them! (Especially Ryan Gosling!)  But they were there with the big shots of the firm and it would have been career suicide to interrupt and ask for a selfie lol.

Because of my busy schedule this week, I only made it to the gym 3 times.  =(  I don't like that, especially since I had no time to cook at all this week and had to go out to eat every night.  Oh, and I was being fed a lot at my mom's lol.  Soooo needless to say, I really needed the gym time!!  I'm hoping that I'll be able to make it there more next week.

Monday 2/16
What I did:  Strength training #1.

What I wore:  Splits59 Ashby tanks, white one over yucca.  Splits59 Joan B crop, and Nike Free 5.0 TR Fit 4 shoes.

What I wore:  Splits59 Ashby tank, red over the ombre Courage tank.  I didn't even realize I wore Splits59 tops every time this week!  Alo Yoga Airbrushed Capri in arctic natural, and same shoes as the previous day.

I like that you can kind of see the "Courage" on the back, from the tank underneath!

Lululemon Runder Under LS as to and from:

Well, I'll try to be better next week.  =)  Time to go packing again!  Hope you all had a great weekend!

Lululemon Presta Packable Shirket At Last!

This is a pretty old item, but one that I've been looking for forever!  The Lululemon Presta Packable Shirket, in black.  This jacket was from one of the Lululemon cycling capsules in 2012.  I tried it on in the store back then, and thought it was quite flattering on.  But I didn't buy it since I don't cycle, and I didn't want to spend so much on it.  Of course I regretted that decision ever since!  What was I thinking?!  I don't need to wear it to go biking.  I can just wear it!  So I'd been keeping an eye out on ebay.  I only wanted the black one though.  I had seen that unfortunate bruised berry dot version many times, and I'm not gonna wear that even if someone paid me.

So a few weeks ago, I finally found a black one in size 4 that was new with tag!  And it ended up being only like $50 or something after shipping.  I can't remember, but it was a great price.  I was so stoked!  It arrived quickly too, and I couldn't wait to put it on.  Yep, it was just as flattering as I remembered!  I happened to be kind of bloated when I put it on and took these pictures, but it has some serious slimming qualities IMO:

This shirket (shirt + jacket lol) is very thin.  It's made of different types of material.  There is E-Glyder which is water repellent, with luxtreme panels inserted in the sides.  It is also perforated at the collar area and the back pocket.  I think the mixture of the different materials make a basic black jacket more interesting!

The weight is actually really perfect for my weather.  Even though I like to buy heavier jackets, I don't really need them most of the year.

The back hem is curved and longer than the front.  It has elastic to help it stay in place during cycling I suppose.  I won't need this feature haha.

It has 2 big zipper pockets on the sides on the front, as well as a huge pocket on the back that has elastic opening:

Here's a close up of the pocket - there's ruffles on the top:

The collar has a magnetic closure, so it snaps in place!  I think that's pretty cool:

The sleeves also have elastic openings too.

I think this shirket actually looks pretty good unzipped, or completely zipped up too.  Kind of futuristic!

So in my excited state, I didn't even realize that this supposedly new with tag top has a stain on one of the sleeves!

Ok, I think that looks like food residue (I hope) and will come off easily if I put some water on it and scrub it a little.  Upon closer examination though, I don't think Lululemon ever puts their hang tags on the area right below the armpit like this?!?  I'm pretty sure all my jacket tags have been on the lower left side seam.

The tag looks awfully wrinkled up too.  It's the right tag though!

Hmm... well, I know this is not a fake.  This style is not popular enough to be faked anyway.  But I have my doubts that it is in fact new with tag lol.  It's pretty cheap to buy a tagging gun on amazon and sell all your used items as new with tag!!  But I'd recommend cleaning up any stains first.

While this annoys me, I still got the jacket for a pretty good price so I guess I won't complain to the seller.

On the other hand, the rip out tag looks pretty new and crispy though:

So I'll consider this a minor hiccup in the big scheme of things!  I like this jacket a lot.  I will be wearing it and making my own stains on it!  Ha!  =P
