A New (Old) Lululemon No Limit Tank and Update on the Sue Wong Dress!

The other day I was stalking old rare Lululemon items on eBay again when I saw a No Limit tank in coal/lavender with about 15 minutes left at only $35.  So I got tempted and put a bid in towards the end of the auction.  I actually almost got it for $38, but someone came in during the last couple seconds and I ended up getting it for $45.  My highest bid was like $45.35 or something like that!  So if the other bidder had put in $46 it would have been hers.  I knew being tricky with random numbers would have served me well one day!  Hehe.  Well, $45 is still a great price for this tank!

It arrived today and it's great!  Now this is my 3rd No Limit tank.  Of course if I had my choice I would rather the colors be reversed to lavender body coal bra since I love me some colors, but hey I'm not complaining for the price I paid.  It's a steal.  This was actually the exact tank I tried on in store last year.  I remember liking the color combo but did not want a coal tank at the time for over $70.

It also seems to run tighter in the body than my aruba and white ones that I got a little while ago.  Hmm speaking of No Limit tanks, I saw the new sprinkler/ikat one online today.  I love the sprinkler color in this tank and would have been tempted to buy it, but I'm really not a fan of the ikat print.  I think when I first saw this print a couple months ago I almost had a heart attack and have stayed far away from it.  Then to my dismay it kept appearing in everything!  It's not as bad in the No Limit tank than others I've seen.  So maybe in small doses it's ok.  But I just think it looks soooo dated!!

On a different note, my beautiful Sue Wong dress that I ordered from Hautelook was delivered today!  It was shipped out this morning and that is fast shipping!  What I love about ordering from Hautelook is that the items always arrive same day or the day after from the day it's shipped, since Hautelook ships from LA.  So this offsets the sales tax I have to pay for ordering on Hautelook.  My Gilt orders usually come about 3 days later, and Ruelala orders come at least a week later.  But I do save tax money when I order from Gilt and Ruelala.

Anyway, back to my Sue Wong dress - it is everything I expected!!  I couldn't believe that it was just as gorgeous in person as I'd hoped.  And it fits perfectly!  I got a size up from my normal size, which turned out to be a good choice.  It fits me exactly the same way as it does on this model, and I wouldn't have wanted it any tighter.

Oh and it has lightly padded bra cups sewn into the chest, so I don't even need to wear a bra with it.  Love it when dresses come like that!  It is easily one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever laid eyes on, and I'm so glad it's mine!

  1. quick question -- I want to either get the aruba or the senorita pink cool racerback tomorrow in-store. If you had to choose one, which color would you choose? I can't decide! - Alexis

  2. Hmmm.. those colors are very different. I would probably go with aruba because it's a beautiful color, and probably more versatile. Senorita pink might bleed. I personally prefer a lighter, more coral pink like fruity tootie from a couple years ago. But I think it also depends on what other tops you have and bottoms as well. Maybe get one that's totally different from what you normally buy. Or, think about which one would go with more things you already have? That's what I do when I can't decide between 2 colors...

  3. I agree about ikat! It's not feminine or attractive.

  4. I ordered that no limit tank with the Ikat print! And the matching hat LOL. I hadn't liked Ikat until I saw the no limit.

I adore that dress. It is SO pretty!

  5. I don't like the ikat print either, and it really bugs me they use it everywhere... I'd like to see more colors too. It's almost spring - where are the light greens and yellows?!

  6. That dress is beautiful and that's awesome that it comes with padded cups! I totally agree about the ikat print. I asked if anyone else on a lululemon blog though the ikat print was ugly and all I heard were crickets. . . . I guess I was the only one . . he he

  7. I completely disliked the Ikat print when it first came out. I still don't love it, but I did order the sprinkler NLT since I adore the Sprinkler colour and really wanted a NLT in that colour. I would have preferred solid blue though!

  8. I think the Ikat looks like a cow print - which I personally would never wear...
I think maybe we're all just thirsting for any kind of print (remember years ago, when prints were everywhere in Lulu items), so everyone is taking what they'll get, despite how ugly in comparison they are.
    :)
    Dress looks great!

  9. Oh yes, I used to have lots of prints but have stupidly sold most of them because I thought more would come out. LOL... who knew. But I loved the feminine prints which was the reason I fell in love with Lululemon in the first place. Oh and the option to put bra cups in, which really irks me that they don't include them with online orders anymore! I finally called the GEC asking if they could send me some cups b/c I won't wear my tanks without them and the last 3 orders have not come with any. Yes I have lots but I like to have one pair per top. They said sure they will send them, but that was 2 weeks ago and still nothing... lol.. it's sad when you spend over $70 on each top and have to beg for some cheap cup inserts. Ok rant over!

  10. So jealous of your new (old) colours! I agree about the ikat print, its just too distracting for me, I went with the Aruba and fell in love with the colour and fit! Glad the dress is perfect, it looks so beautiful in the picture :)

  12. That dress sure is gorgeous! So glad to hear that it fits.

I also am not a fan of ikat, and won't be ordering anything that has that print on it.
