Lululemon Flow and Go Tank Deep Indigo

I bought the Flow and Go tank the first time it came out in alarming/coal.  I thought it was a very pretty tank, but I ended up selling it on ebay.  I actually think it sold for like $140?!?  Crazy!!!  I sold it because I just wasn't too crazy about alarming as a color.  I don't know, I'm just not into orangey reds.  And I thought the tank style was a little impractical for the price since it's pretty low support.

But today when I went to exchange my Practice Freely Tank for a size 6, I decided to get the Flow and Go in the new deep indigo color.

Update:  Couldn't help but to take a picture of it with white bottoms - this is a winning color combo!

I remember that last time, I was kind of in between a size 4 and size 6, in the sense that I liked how size 6 looked in the back better than size 4, but it wasn't as supportive.  Even the shoulder straps were kind of falling down with the 6.  So I ended up with size 4 and never 100% happy with the fit.

This time, I also tried on both sizes and pretty much have the same issue with how the back fabric drapes on me.  The size 4 came way too high, almost covering the bottom of the horizontal strap.  But they must have made some improvements to this tank because the size 6 straps did not fall off my shoulders like last time.  Also, the neck strap is not nearly as tight as last time.  Oh yeah, and I clearly remember what a struggle it was last time to put this tank on, I think it took me 3 tries in the fitting room.  But this time it was way easy!  So, I went with the size 6.  I feel that even though the support is not as good as 4, I won't be doing anything extraneous in this tank anyways.

I also saw it in aquamarine and white, which are both pretty but I have No Limit tanks in both aruba and white so I did not want to get another style that is very similar from the front.  I like the deep indigo color, but was worried about what to wear it to match.  Black bottoms seem a bit boring as it would blend in too much with the tank.  I think white would look amazing, but I only have 1 pair of white groove crops, which I never wear.  Here in the photos I happened to be wearing the heathered black astro wunder under crops, which looks pretty much charcoal in person.  I think it looks ok with deep indigo.

On a different note, I did find size 6 of the Practice Freely tank to fit better in the back than the size 4.  From the front, it is not too much of a difference.  The bra also covers more on the side in size 6, so I am happy to keep it in the larger size.

Size 6

Here's the size 4 pic from yesterday which looks pretty much identical from the front
And this is size 6 from the back which looks much better without the mega pooch

So now with these 2 new tanks, 3 No Limit tanks, and one Let It Loose tank, I have 6 tanks that are very similar in style, especially in the front!  But I like this style better than the baby doll style and I do wear it quite a bit so I think I will get good use out of them.

  1. I love my Flow and Go in Alarming - I always get compliments when I wear it since it's so unique. (I'm the one that cut the strings out of the neck strap so it fit better). I may have to get an aquamarine one too!

    1. Oh yeah, that was such a great idea!! But I think you will find the new batch looser in the neck and probably don't have to cut out the stitches again. Aquamarine is super pretty! If I didn't already have an aruba tank I would be all over that.

    2. They didn't have them when I was at my local store Wednesday - and they aren't online! I guess I'll just have to watch online like a hawk so I can snag one! I ended up into a swiftly long sleeved t in aquamarine. I keep seeing things and saying I'll never spend the money on them ($68 for a long sleeved t, $50 for a scarf) and just end up buying them eventually anyway. I am a sucker - I just need to own the fact that I am addicted. :)

    1. Really? I think it will... I'm pretty sure the Flow and Gos were online last time they came out. They had tons of them at the store I went to, in all sizes.

    1. It says Fides Servanda Est. Latin for "faith must be kept". I got it when I was 18 and thought I was super cool. Lol.

  5. Both the Practice Freely and Flow & Go look fabulous on you - makes me want to run out to buy both! Could you tell me between the two, which one do you like more? Flow&Go is super sexy, but not sure how practical it is... thanks for your feedback!

    1. Hi there, thanks! I think the main difference is that the practice freely has a more supportive bra than the flow and go. It is also made of sheer luon instead of circle mesh. They are both nice materials but I always like sheer luon the best of all lulu fabrics. You are right the flow and go definitely is not as practical. So if you can only get one then I say get the practice freely! To me the flow and go is more of a novelty tank, as in I wont wear it as much but it still looks nice sitting in my drawer lol.
