Alice and Olivia Stace Face Slip On Sneakers!

A little while ago, I saw the new Alice and Olivia Stace Face Slip On Sneakers and really wanted them, but they were sold out everywhere!  Then last week I was browsing the Nordstrom website and randomly found that they were re-stocked!  So I promptly ordered myself a pair.  It's no secret that I'm a heels girl (except for my gym sneakers), and almost never wear flat shoes.  But these sneakers actually have a little platform so I still get a little bit of height!

I'm such a sucker for the Stace Face.  It was like the quickest I ever spent $200 lol.  I mean... that ain't cheap for sneakers, but I had been eyeing an older Alice and Olivia sneaker forever and those were $300.  In comparison, these were a steal lol.  I actually like these better anyway!  Plus, they are a perfect match for my Alice and Olivia Starbucks mug (and a close match for the coin purse)!  Haven't used either though lol.  But check out the mug... the front and back are both exactly the same as the sneakers!

I got these in size EU 36 which is my usual shoe size (US 6).  When I first took them out of the box, I thought they looked big.  But they are actually the perfect fit.  In fact, they were even a bit hard to slip into the first time.  I think I'm so used to looking at heels that flat shoes always look bigger to me lol.

The back half of the shoes are textile (canvas-like) and the front and sole are rubber.  There are suede material fringes that look like her bangs.  I like the more muted color combo of these shoes.  They are actually not THAT out there.  =)

I worried that maybe the platform sneakers would look a bit strange.  But they don't at all.  I really like how they look on.  I literally couldn't wait to wear them so I ran some errands with them on this afternoon already.  Walked about 6 blocks total, and the back of my feet got torn!  So these definitely need breaking into.   The material is not the most gentle.  But the cuteness makes up for it lol.

Seriously though... I really hope they break in soon.  I want to wear them allll the time!  Especially can't wait to finally use my mug while wearing these... hahaha!

  2. They look kind of questionable in the stock photos, but they're so cute in the last picture where you're wearing them!

  3. I had the same problem with a pair of shoes too. ..wonder if heel pads would help?

    1. That's a good idea! I was thinking a bandaid but I like the heel pad idea better. Also just got a pack a few weeks ago so I'll give it a shot... thanks!

  4. Apperantly this was so much funny and passionate read and experience. I love Alice and Olivia Stace Face Slip on Sneakers. What a cute smile! Always can be an inspiring footwear. As a high heel fans the platform based sneakers made me very smart and stylish enough. And the mug- oh, I can't wait to have one for me. Thanks for sharing.
