Hmm I actually was really hoping that it would be closer to the web color. I know paris pink is super bright, but I thought the swiftly material would mute it a bit like it usually does with colors. I haven't seen paris pink in luon or luxtreme, I can't imagine it being even brighter than the swiftly...??? It is really loud and out there! Here's a picture I took of myself with it on and I think it looks much more like this in person:
So if you want attention, definitely wear this around. I am a little worried about bleeding as well. I've never had any Lululemon bleed on me, but I just can't see how this color will stay wash after wash. Good thing holiday return period has been extended so I can keep it around a bit and think about it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great color. I just don't know if I want to commit to something this bright. Although I do think the swiftly LS is a great top to wear to races, and paris pink will make you stand out in the crowd for sure.
But of course I also woke up at 4 am today for work (I know, it's really lame) and saw Lululemon's email saying they had an upload this morning. So I went ahead and got the paris pink Turn Around LS as well! I will compare the color in these 2 different materials when I receive that one, but I will only be keeping one. Definitely no need for 2 long sleeve tops in this color!
Lulu posted a special how to care for Paris Pink post on their website - you should check it out cause they say it will bleed onto other colours! Yikes!

ReplyDeleteI just bought the ls swfitly and cool racerback. They are super bright, almost neon! But I like to stand out ;) I'm just going to wash them on their own or with blacks for the first few times and see how they go. If there's any fading I will definitely be taking them back to the store!
People have said to soak paris pink items in white vinegar and water for a few minutes to help "set" the color.

ReplyDeleteAhhh... I'm not sure how I feel about having to baby my workout clothes!!! I should be receiving my Turn Around LS tomorrow. Have you heard of any bleeding issues with running luon?
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard bleeding with the Paris Pink Turn Arounds yet, but just be super careful. You don't want to ruin something else. I hate babying my workout clothes, too, but I love Paris Pink. It's so obnoxious and bright. It just makes me happy. I have a scoop neck tank in Paris. I don't normally like Scoop Necks, but in Paris Pink I love it. I really really wanted a Turn Around LS, but I hesitated and they're gone :( I did snag a Paris Swiftly (like yours) for my girlfriend and it's actually a lot more muted than the luon Paris Pink.
ReplyDeleteI don't like scoop neck tanks anymore either. I've sold all the ones I owned before. But it does look cute in paris pink. I just can't deal with the neck pull. Aww.. I hope one of the stores near you has a paris pink Turn Around! I just received mine, and you are right, it IS wayyyy brighter than the swiftly!!!
