Splits59 Ashby Courage Tank for Breast & Ovarian Cancer Awareness!

Since it's October - the Breast Cancer Awareness month, Splits59 created a special edition Ashby Courage tank to help spread the word, with 20% of proceeds from each tank going to the Lynne Cohen Foundation which provides support for women with breast or ovarian cancer.  I think the tank is beautiful, and the price is the same as regular Ashby tanks - $48.  So why not look cute while benefiting a good cause!  Apparently each tank is individually hand dip-dyed so no two tanks are alike.  Pretty cool!

It's so cute that the "O" in "Courage" is the ribbon with a heart in it!

The Ashby tank is super soft ribbed tank that feels great on.  But it does hug your every curve, as it is very thin and somewhat sheer.  I have one other Ashby tank, in yucca, which is a light teal color.  I have it in size XS and I think it's a little too tight.  So this one being another very light color, I opted for a size S.  As you can see, it's still quite fitted on me.  But it works.  I do wish this tank was slightly thicker though, because I am not a fan of seeing so much of my pants showing through the top.

On the other hand, this tank is perfect for showing off whatever cute bra you have under!  I always try to find tanks with more open backs for this reason.  I am wearing a white Lululemon Free To Be bra under it in my picture.  You can see the details pretty well, so imagine a bright color!  Splits59 suggests wearing a teal colored bra under to support both breast and ovarian cancers.  That's a great idea!

  1. I love the colors of the tank-and the cause!

I am not sure I could pull off a somewhat sheer top though...

    1. Awww thank you! My dream was to be a runway model when I was like 3 years old. :) Now that that's totally out the window, I do think it would be nice to do some kind of fitness modeling. However, I am a loooooong way off from that. Thank you though! That's so sweet. :)
