When I received them I was actually surprised at how dark they are. Under certain lights, they really look almost identical to my black ones (which look dark charcoal). I think the web shots show them in the deep indigo color well - it almost looks more like a dark gray with blue undertone. But under brighter lighting, you can definitely see the blue more. I took a photo of indigo on top of black:
I asked my hubby for a color test and he assured me that these indeed look blue, and different from my black ones. Lol. So I am keeping them! I ordered the same size (4) in these as my other 2 pairs and they fit the same. Super comfy and stretchy! Like you don't even want to take them off. They will look super cute with my discover stripe Power Y. And I'm sure many other tops I can pair them with!
Yes, I have the indigo ones and I love how they look with so many different colored tops... tango red, grapeseed, and I know there are others! Glad you got the indigo ones. You'll love them too!!!
ReplyDeleteI got the gray ones last week (had the indigo and black) and LOVE them all! Would adore a color, like the grape!
ReplyDeleteI just thought I would buy one in blue. I have the black and gray. I miss the blue but i was afraid that there are not big difference with the black. If your husband says: "it's good" then i'll buy! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the Ebb and Flow crops also!... Just FYI I was searching through a selling on ebay by the name of topcarbroker & spotted pictures of you...I just wanted to give you a heads up on it!
ReplyDeleteI saw someone wear Ebb And Flow Crops yesterday. We were in a yoga class and she stood right in front. The crops were so sheer I could see everything (even the b-hole). It was so bad that I thought these crops are one of those cheap leggings to wear under a long tunic...until I saw the Lulu symbol. They looked so beautiful and fit her perfectly but are not meant for yoga.
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness Anon 6:00.........that is my worst fear. I am getting the indigo pair today and I will be doing the bend test. I had hoped to do cardio, weight lifting and Pilates in them. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteI have the ebb and flows in all three colors and they are extremely sheer when bending over etc. no matter what size you buy. It's an issue with the way the material is stitched around the crotch area that causes the material to pull sheer. I wear my ebbs for running only. They'd probably be okay for weight training but never yoga. Downward dog and frog pose cause full exposure so beware!
ReplyDeleteI am sadly having to return mine because they don't pass the bend over test :( I love the fit and the look but I just can't do it because I know I'll be out walking my dog and have to bend down to pick up after her and forget that my pants are see-through lol.
ReplyDeleteDo you guys really think they are that sheer? I've never found it that bad with mine. I've worn my black and gray ones to yoga many times and love them. I wore the indigo ones today while weight lifting and they were fine. But I also go commando lol. I mean it goes a little sheer when I bend over I guess. But you really can't see anything unless I'm sticking my butt in your face stripper style. I actually find them to be better than luxtreme crops in that regard...
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I just returned mine. I did some down dogs in front of my boyfriend to make sure they weren't sheer, I was also commando, and he told me they were see-through. I didn't believe him, so he took a picture, and yeah, definitely not okay. It actually inspired to write my first review ever on Lulu's website. I'm sure they'd be fine for running/weight lifting, but I wanted to use them for a variety of activities and I'm not about to spend $78 on something that I'll be self-conscious in. I do, however, have a badonkadonk, so maybe that has something to do with it. I wear an 8 and they were otherwise true to size, I was actually worried at first that they were too big, so a 10 is not the answer for me. I'm glad you like them though :)
ReplyDeleteI found that they are sheer and see through in certain poses (Crow), but that if you wear nude boyshort underwear, they don't look bad. What I think is the bad part is actually being able to see butt crack! With the nude underwear you don't see actual butt crack, only the color of your skin if you know what I mean, which isn't that bad IMO.
ReplyDeleteThat's so weird! Mine really aren't very sheer at all, I did a bend over test with my husband right behind me too. He said when I completely bend over, he can kind of see something, but it's really not that bad. For running or weight lifting especially, he wasn't able to see anything. I don't really have a big butt though, maybe that's why... But for yoga in certain poses, and with people very closely behind me, maybe they can see?? Hahaha.... the times I have worn my Ebb & Flows to yoga, the rooms have been very dark. So I doubt anyone saw anything... they are amazing for yoga though!
ReplyDeleteHmmm.. can you compare your indigo with your grey ones? I was reading reviews and it said that the old batch may be diff from this new batch. I'm wearing my "black" ones right now which are really grey and they are soooo comfy, but I'm wearing a longer Zella tank with them for turbo kick later. I did the squat test and saw the tag and everything. Totally sheer and makes me feel uneasy. I'll try not to bend too much in class today. I bought all colors but will be returning the other 2 today. I was going to return the black ones but I already ripped the tags off in excitement.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll have to buy nude boyshorts as andrea suggested. Oh well, at least I can go get a swiftly 1/2 zip or a new CRB! I hope they have the menthol daily tank though. I want that color!
I have the smallest hips and no butt to speak of yet my indigo Ebb and Flows were so sheer when I bent over! I didn't believe my DH until he took a picture of my behind. I was SO sad to return them because I loved them :( *cry*
